Wasserman Schultz Avoids Hoffa Question DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz appeared on "FOX & Friends" this morning and ducked answering a question about Jimmy Hoffa's "take these son of ***es out" comment. Host Gretchen Carlson asked several times for a response to what Hoffa said, however Wasserman Schultz kept saying that the American people want us to focus on "working together." However, eventually Wasserman Schultz got fed up and asked "are you kidding me?" She continued: "Really Gretchen? How many times have you called out the coarse language at tea party rallies? Almost never," she said. Wasserman Schultz never directly addressed Hoffa's comment.

Harvey Wasserman on the Three Mile Island Accident Harvey Franklin Wasserman (born December 31, 1945) is an American journalist, author, democracy activist, and advocate for renewable energy. He has been a strategist and organizer in the anti-nuclear movement in the United States for over 30 years. He has been a featured speaker on Today, Nightline, National Public Radio, CNN Lou Dobbs Tonight and other major media outlets. Wasserman is senior advisor to Greenpeace USA and the Nuclear Information and Resource Service, an investigative reporter, and senior editor of The Columbus Free Press where his coverage, with Bob Fitrakis, has prompted Rev. Jesse Jackson to call them "the Woodward and Bernstein of the 2004 election." On March 29, 1979, there was a cooling system malfunction that caused a partial melt-down of the reactor core. This loss of coolant accident resulted in the release of a significant amount of radioactivity, estimated at 43000 curies (1.59 PBq) of radioactive krypton gas, but less than 20 curies (740 GBq) of the especially hazardous iodine-131, into the surrounding environment. The nuclear power industry claims that there were no deaths, injuries or adverse health effects from the accident, but a peer-reviewed study by Steven Wing of the University of North Carolina found that lung cancer and leukemia rates were 2 to 10 times higher downwind of TMI than upwind, and also showed that there was plant and animal chromosomal damage, but without considering the effects of stress or improved screening. It's Not Cut, Cap and Balance, it is Duck, Dodge and Dismantle The Republican's "Cut, Cap and Balance" plan is the Ryan plan on steroids. It's a political stunt with serious consequences for the country. This legislation preserves tax cuts for the rich, subsidies for oil and gas companies and special tax deals for items like corporate jets. And the Republican presidential candidates have committed to Cut, Cap and Balance. It requires deeper spending cuts than the Ryan plan. This means even more devastating cuts to clean energy, education and health care for children, people with disabilities and seniors. In the first year, Republicans claim this legislation would result in a spending cut of more than $100 billion. Done this quickly, cuts of this magnitude will have a serious negative impact on the economy. It doesn't stop there - after these unbalanced cuts, this legislation requires spending caps in future years with significant consequences. The legislation would require deep Medicare cuts, making health care for seniors more expensive and less accessible And it will require significant cuts in Social Security benefits, breaking our promise to America's seniors. This policy will reduce clean energy funding up and cut infrastructure funding. And it would cut programs for the most vulnerable, like food stamp benefits and Medicaid.

Allen West Responds To Wasserman Schultz: You're Not A Victim "I've been called Uncle Tom, sellout, an Oreo. It's not about Allen West. So once again, it's very interesting to me that we continually allow liberals to do whatever they want in attacking conservatives but all of a sudden, when a conservative stands up and says enough, then people want to sit back especially liberals want to play victim. She's not a victim. She's been attacking Allen West for quite some time," Rep. Allen West (R-FL) Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) had some criticism for fellow Florida Congressman Allen West (R) and decided to let it out on the House floor. Here is what the Congresswoman said about Rep. West today: "The gentleman from Florida who represents thousands of Medicare beneficiaries, as do I, is supportive of this plan that would increase costs for Medicare beneficiaries. Unbelievable from a member from South Florida." Wasserman Schultz apparently made her remarks after West left the House floor, leaving him unable to hear it. This prompted West to send an irate email in response. "You are the most vile, unprofessional, and despicable member of the US House of Representatives," West wrote. West also sent the following email out to House Majority and Minority Leaders: From: Z112 West, Allen Sent: Tuesday, July 19, 2011 04:48 PM To: Wasserman Schultz, Debbie Cc: McCarthy, Kevin; Blyth, Jonathan; Pelosi, Nancy; Cantor, Eric Subject: Unprofessional and Inappropriate Sophomoric Behavior from Wasserman-Schultz Look, Debbie, I understand that ...
