  • 100505x_Geomag-20_anti-gravity_machine.m4v A. Yes, yes, , of course, this is not anti-gravity . B. But inspired by LuProch, but simpler (Less pieces and less strings). I propose you that make these or others simple exercises by yourselfs. Try it , enjoy and reflect about universal forces. Its amazing ! . C. All phenomena in our universe can reduce in only 4 tipes of forces: 1. Elecromagnetic force (Electricity, magnetism, even the Light! ); 2. Strong nuclear force (the energy of stars like the Sun); 3. Weak nuclear force (radiation and vulcanism) and 4. Gravitatory force (keeps Earth, planets and galaxys and made fall an apple on New-Ton). . Superstrings and Unified Fields Theories proposes that all these 4 forces could be one. Geomag (a toy) permit us to play with 2 differents (and manageable) greats universal forces. . D. Enjoy and learn.
  • Pattern of Violence 2 of 2 Think of this as the pre-history of Al Gore. Al didn't actually kill the dinosaurs; he just caused the world to forget about them. Here's some basic stuff that the Warmists don't want you to know. The KT boundary is a geological signature, usually a thin band, dated to 65 million years ago. (K is the traditional abbreviation for the Cretaceous period, and T is the abbreviation for the Tertiary period.) 1000 million years ago, the oceans held only simple organisms like algae, while the land was relatively lifeless. Fish fossils appear in strata after about 500-600 million years ago; dinosaurs and giant reptiles were on the land by 200 million years ago. Mammals were not common until after 65 million years ago, and Al Gore-like creatures appeared only in the last 4 million years. Why? The real question is WHY NOT. Here's an added twist in the tale. The impact of an asteroid and the resulting VULCANISM would blow a mass of vaporized rock and steam high above the atmosphere, forming an immense dust cloud that would slowly settle out of the atmosphere -- worldwide. This scenario has been discussed extensively because similar consequences could result from a thermonuclear war. Realistic models are not available, and the discussion is biased because the topic is important politically. Models of "Nucear Winter" and KT impact models have been so intertwined in people's minds that results from one tend to be automatically applied to the other.

  • Rock Climbing Smith Rock Oregon HD Smith Rock Park Geologic Wonderland The dramatic appearance of the park area is a testament to the cumulative force of vulcanism and the erosive power of running water. Millions of years ago this area was a major center of volcanic activity. After a period of localized eruptions, lava flows entered the canyon and crowded the ancestral river into the flanks of the main volcanic structure. Forced to establish a new channel, the Crooked River eventually eroded the interior of the volcanic vent. The wondrous and multicolored formations are composed of rock known as "welded tuff "—volcanic ash erupted under conditions of extreme heat and pressure.

When I flew into this country a few days ago I was expecting an easy ride. Not so. First I had to declare all the various food I had on the customs form, and even all the hiking I'd done in Australia - they're very hot on biosecurity here. At least, I thought, if I do as I'm told they'll credit me with being honest and let me through quickly. Big mistake. After queueing for ages I was questioned at immigration by a very thorough Maori officer, then I was sent by the biosecurity lady for further checks, and was grilled for another 15 minutes by immigration before putting my bags through x-ray. And that wasn't the end of my troubles. Don't let anyone tell you they're good at giving directions here, because I then spent another 15 minutes trying to find the shuttle bus. You wouldn't think that in a major international airport in a developed country you'd have trouble finding the shuttle bus, now would you? Perhaps to make up for that, people are disarming polite and friendly, and will think nothing of sitting down next to complete strangers and chatting to them.
