Viceroys formed in Jamaica, West Indies, around 1966, the group was formed by lead vocalist and songwriter Wesley Tinglin (bc1947, Jamaica, West Indies).   • The Viceroys - Heart Made Of Stone Born in 1947, Wesley Tinglin has been the foundation, lead vocalist and songwriter with The Viceroys, which was formed in Jamaica in about 1966, with Daniel Bernard and Bunny Gayle. After Bunny Gayle left the band, Tinglin recruited Neville Ingram as a replacement. Since then, the band have had several name changes including The Inturns, The Interns and The Voiceroys. They eventually stuck with The Viceroys and the line-up stabilized with Wesley Tinglin being supported by harmony singers Neville Ingram and Norris Reid. They had a big hit with this track, Heart Made Of Stone in 1980, which was a Sly And Robbie production on the Taxi label.

  • ViceRoy and the Horse Expo ViceRoy and the other horses used in the old horse demo by HorseNet Horse Rescue at the Maryland World Horse Expo. :) I am going to ask you to picture a very somber scene. The funeral of a fallen United States serviceman. A great and noble beast quietly pulls the casket to the grave site, seemingly aware of the magnitude of the moment. Viceroy was that horse. Before he came to HorseNet, ViceRoy had been a Caisson horse at Arlington National Cemetary........he proudly served his country by carryng these fallen heroes to their final resting place. After his service,ViceRoy moved to several different homes, his final being HorseNet. When he arrived at his permanent home in August of 2008 he was 600#'s underweight and his coat was brown from malnutrition. He had rainrot and sores on his legs that required us to cut off his beautiful feathers so the sun could get in to help heal the wounds. You see, his magificent horse had been terribly neglected and simply discarded. . ViceRoy's first day on the farm was met with many volunteers giving him lots of TLC. The second day on the farm he no longer held his head down but was interested in what was going on around him and his eyes no longer had that dull, dead look about them. After the first full week had past he was jogging out in a small field and throwing his head once again enjoying life. ViceRoy was no where near ready to give up and neither were we. We have brought back his gorgeous black color with our custom blended feed ...
