  • Neil Young Like A Hurricane Hammersmith Odeon March 1976 (c)Copyright belongs to the rightful owner I DO NOT OWN THIS VIDEO. © "Like a Hurricane" is a song written by Neil Young in 1975 and first released on the album American Stars 'N Bars in 1977.The song was written in July 1975 with friend and La Honda neighbor Taylor Phelps in the back of his car, (a DeSoto Suburban), when Neil Young was unable to sing due to an operation on his vocal cords. Driven by Young's trademark fierce guitars, the song has been played on nearly every tour Neil Young has done since. It has also appeared on the compilations Decade and Greatest Hits and on the live albums Live Rust, Weld and Unplugged (this last rendition is played almost entirely on a pump organ). An edited version of "Like a Hurricane" was released as a single on August 8th 1977, with "Hold Back the Tears" as B-side. • Episodes of American Idols Season 09 - Boston Auditions American Idol, the phenom that helped to forever define musical milieu and cultural temperature of the aughts, returned Tuesday night for its first episode of the ***s and hit the ground running in hopes of proving that the show still has legs amid steadily falling ratings, the disappearance of its worst but most car-crash-fascinating judge and, just announced this week, the end-of-season skedaddle of head judge Simon Cowell. The show shakes things up this year—Randy Jackson promises interesting wrinkles, quite a commitment, but one of them, of course, is Paulas replacement, the sweet and likeable Ellen Degeneres, whose experience evaluating music mostly involves dancing in the aisles during her talk show. Bringing in Ellen is like having Dennis Miller provide color commentary for Monday Night Football, and part of the fun this season will be in seeing if her seat at the table turns out to be the payoff the show badly needs. • Glitching Out UMK3 - Glitch Ladder & Sub/Noob Crash Official Site: This glitch is nothing new, but I didn't see any videos of it so I made one real quick. I threw in the Master II/Glitch Ladder at the end for bonus points. And yes, I am aware of how unbelievably geeky this is about to make me sound. The first glitch (1:17) was fixed in Rev. 1.1, so this had to be done on 1.0. When you do Sub's Ice Clone move above or below Saibot the game bugs out to the point where it requires a hard reset. This is similar to a bug found in Street Fighter II: Sub-Zero falls endlessly off-screen, and Noob's stance animation speed changes varyingly. The game becomes completely unresponsive, making it impossible to even enter the test menu. In the process of making this video, I discovered that the glitch does not seem to occur when using the "Winner of this round fights Noob Saibot" Kombat Kode (unless it's just me). The Glitch Ladder (2:43) was something I just found out about this afternoon, but I figured I might as well take an extra minute to throw it in since I'm already facing Noob anyway. Choose the mega-endurance treasure after defeating Shao Kahn, fight so that you'll win by time over and run out the clock. Win the next round, and the glitch kicks in. One thing I noticed is that it basically brings you back to the bottom of your original ladder - with the same portraits in the same order - they just don't match your opponents. The new ones are always the same (Kano, Noob/Ermac, Kano, etc ...
  • Bleach: Shattered Blade -- Rukia Kuchiki vs. Orihime Inoue Another week, another set of battles for those who ask, in this case isakuralover made the request for a battle between Rukia and Orihime. Since I actually happen to have easy access to someone interested in playing this game with me, and who also seems to be a remarkably quick study considering how infrequently we play, I'm in a perfect position to oblige such requests. I knew this would happen, I just...didn't think it would happen so quickly, but I fear that the advantages of greater lengths of time spent playing the game have finally fizzled out and barring maybe one or two matches of "warming up" per session, I'm down to an otherwise even playing field, all other things being equal. So...you can imagine what happens when all other things are not actually equal, and you can pretty much see for yourself what happens. Rukia is an interesting character...although her special moves do strike me as a tad underwhelming to say the least. Her greatest saving grace in terms of usability happens to be her special move that will allow her to actually leave the ground and jump over the enemy while simultaneously delivering a moderately-powerful projectile attack. In a game with almost zero aerial activity because there's no manual jump command, that's a really big deal. I'm not entirely sure whether or not her ice attacks actually impart a tactical disadvantage upon her victims...maybe some minor slowing and flinching, but definitely not a complete freeze. The only other icy ...
  • Did Twitter Tilt Election Results in Canada? Transcript by BY EMOKE BEBIAK ANCHOR CHRISTINA HARTMAN You're watching multisource tech news ***ysis from Newsy. In North America, living in an Eastern time zone can mean getting spoilers for your favorite TV Show, and while that seems innocent enough -- what about spoilers for election results? In Canada, that could get you slapped with a $25000 fine -- but that didn't stop some rebellious Canucks during Monday's election. A writer for Postmedia News says... "[Even] before a single poll had closed, digital denizens were flirting with creative ways to flout Section 329 of the Canada Elections Act ... all in the name of fighting legislation varyingly dubbed draconian, paternalistic and unenforceable." Dating back to 1938, Section 329 calls for total media blackout until all polling stations close on the Western coast of the country. That means national broadcasters are not allowed to show election results until three hours after polling stations in the Eastern Territories close. A writer for the Toronto Star says -- in the era of social media, such a law is nearly impossible to enforce. "The agency, tasked with upholding an archaic provision ... now faces the bizarre conundrum of knowing about widespread online dissemination of election results through Twitter and Facebook, but being powerless to do anything about it." During the three-hour blackout, close to 5000 Tweets were posted with the hashtag "Tweet the results." But the Canadian Press points out, not ...

You need swapmagic to play it on american PS2. All the information you'll need to know about final mix is in a little video I made. You can find it here Do not try this at level 1. Don't even think about it. It will torture you forever. In order to beat it at level 1 you have to do a very sunstained loop, while breaking his counters at 5 bars in and 7 bars left, as well as dodging his DM about 5 or 6 times. In a level 1 no drive fight 1 combo will add up to about half a bar, meaning you need to do around 35 successful combos to beat him I did this at 99 as it's just a real pain otherwise. I also used final form. It was sort of an easy strategy, but it's probably the best way to beat him in 99 critical mode. Equip all your combo and finisher pluses, use high strength keyblades and start the fight off in final form. Your goal is to knock him to about 7 bars with your first final form, and finish him with the second one. The DM is really easy to dodge in final form for the first 2 parts, for the 3rd part you can just reflega spam. You'll get hit on one of the combos if you are in final, but you can still reflect at the end. If you're in normal sora ...

  • Sean Penn wins Oscar for Best Actor in Milk Inspiring human story in Milk By AMY BIANCOLLI HOUSTON CHRONICLE Nov. 25, 2008, 6:33PM Gus Van Sants Milk invites comparison with influential gay-themed films of the last 20 years: Longtime Companion, Brokeback Mountain or an earlier Van Sant Film, My Own Private Idaho. Others will consider it in light of Proposition 8, the newly passed California ballot initiative that outlawed same-*** marriage. But this isnt a niche film — no more than any movie set during the genesis of a civil rights movement is a niche film. Its message isnt limited to politics or social activism, though they do eat up much of the plot. It is, at its core, an inspiring human story about an impish, charismatic man who lived and loved and fought to do both out in the open. Watching Milk felt a bit, for me, like watching Titanic. History tells us the ship sank in the end. It also tells us that San Francisco city supervisor Harvey Milk, the states first openly gay elected public official, was assassinated along with Mayor George Moscone on Nov. 27, 1978. Every inch of the plot is suffused with anticipated grief; with each passing year, the milestone tolls like a bell. It wouldnt hurt if the actor playing him didnt disappear so completely into the role. As Milk, Sean Penn turns in one of the toughest and most disarming performances of his career. He exhibits a transparency missing from his last go at a speechifying political role e_SEmD Willie Stark, in 2006s gassy All the Kings Men — and a playfulness ...
