The POWERBENDER: an all-new Diatonic Harmonica The POWERBENDER is a soulful new tuning for the 10 hole diatonic harmonica, retaining the best aspects from tradition while making the harp more expressive and easy to play through the whole range. This promo video demonstrates how it can be played in 11 keys and 8 positions without overblows. Here's how it compares with a Richter harp: KEEPING the BEST from the PAST • Same Three Octave Range as a 10 Hole Richter Harp • Same Familiar Lower Octave for Chord Rhythm and Blues Licks NEW, DIFFERENT and BETTER •Same Breathing Pattern Throughout: Blow Note always Lower than Draw (no confusing switch in top octave, as on Richter tuning) • Familiar Low Octave Draw Bend Licks Now Possible Everywhere • Simplified Technique: No Blow Bends to Learn • Simplified Technique: No Overdraws to Learn • Every Draw Reed Bends at Least a Semitone • Easy Chromatic Runs using Bends Only • Simple, Soulful Draw Bends replace Richter Overblows and Overdraws • Overblows Available on Every Hole (but not important for most playing) • Top Octave Easy to Play, with Big Expressive Draw Bends • Intuitive Tuning, Simple to Learn. Similar Phrasing in Each Octave • Easy to Play in Common Positions: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 11th, 12th • Many Positions can be Played Both Major or Minor Without Overblows • Play Easily in Eleven Major & Minor Keys without Overblows • Sounds Great on any Stock Harp (no embossing, average reed gaps) • Suits Standard Setup (no valves) or Half-Valving -- it's up to the Player ...

Mercedes Benz CLK 55 AMG Promo Video The Mercedes-Benz W208 coupes and convertibles were produced from 1997 to 2002. They were sold under the CLK-Class model names. The W208 models were the CLK 200 4-cylinder, CLK230 4-cylinder, CLK 320 V6, CLK 430 V8 and CLK 55 AMG. All models were available in both coupe and cabriolet form. The CLK introduced a new market niche for Mercedes-Benz. Although the W208 used components from the E-Class and had a specification level higher than the E-Class, it was in fact based on the C-Class platform. The CLK features a number of innovative accessories and systems, such as tow-away protection and an emergency transmission mode. The W208 was succeeded by the W209, also called the CLK. The CLK AMG is powered by a hand-assembled 5.5-liter V8 engine. The hardware list reads like that of a race car: super-stiff forged billet steel crankshaft, forged, weight-matched connecting rods and pistons, lightweight AMG-specific camshafts churns inside the pressure-cast aluminum block of this chain-driven single overhead-cam V8 with two intake and one exhaust valves per cylinder, as well as 16 coils and 16 spark plugs (two spark plugs per cy). Its bore and stroke are nearly the same, which makes it an ideally balanced engine. The complex dual-resonance intake manifold with carefully tuned runners helps create an explosive compression ratio of 10.5:1 which is is mostly what delivers the healthy 342 horsepower (255 kW) and 376 lb·ft (510 N·m) of torque. The five-speed automatic transmission is ...

Bob Jorgensen's Dake Square-Piston Model Steam Engine Bob Jorgensen's hand-build Dake Square Piston Rotary Steam Engine. See all of Bob Jorgensen's steam engines at his web page The Dake steam engine uses two square pistons. One piston looks like a slice of bread, and it operates inside of another piston that looks like the crust from a slice of bread. The inner piston moves up and down only inside of the larger outer piston. The outer piston moves side-to-side only inside of a flat rectangular chamber. The inner piston has a hole in the center, and the crank pin extends through this hole. The crankshaft is a simple disk on a shaft, with a single crank pin. The engine operates when steam is admitted to the outside of either side of the large piston, moving it from side to side. When the large piston moves from side to side, it also moves the inner piston. Steam is also admitted to the top and bottom sides of the inner piston, causing it to go up and down inside of the rectangular outer piston. Valving is via four ports in the hollow inner piston, which lead to the outside of each side of the large piston, and ports which lead to the top and bottom of the inner piston. The steam enters the engine through the pipe fitting at the top, and then through a slot in the back housing, and goes to a circular ring in the back plate of the engine. The exhaust goes out a center hole in the back plate, and then up and out the brass fitting on the top right of the engine. The engine crankcase is made of three plates of ...

Porsche 911 GT3 and dodge viper srt 10 and audi R8 race on the autobahn In 2008, with the introduction of the 510 cu in (8.4 L) V10, the Viper produced 600 bhp (450 kW) at 6000 rpm and 560 lb·ft (760 N·m) at 5100 rpm, and also received better flowing heads with larger valves, Mechadyne cam-in-cam variable valve timing on the exhaust cam lobes, and dual electronic throttle bodies.[5][6] The rev limit was able to be increased by 300 rpm due to the improved valve-train stability from both the new camshaft profiles and valve-springs. The development of the engine was done with some external assistance from McLaren Automotive and Ricardo Consulting Engineers. Electronic engine control is developed by Continental AG, the controller is capable of monitoring the crankshaft and cylinder position up to six times during each firing and has 10 times more processing power compared to the previous unit. Changes outside of the engine were less extreme. The Tremec T56 transmission has been replaced with a new Tremec TR6060 which now has triple first gear synchronizers and doubles for higher gears. The Dana M44-4 rear axle from the 2003-2006 model now has a GKN ViscoLok speed-sensing limited-slip differential that greatly helps the tires in getting grip under acceleration. Another performance upgrade was the removal of run-flat tires; the new Michelin Pilot Sport 2 tires have increased driver feedback as well as grip and, along with revised suspension (springs, anti-roll bars, and shock valving), has made the Viper more neutral in cornering. The Audi R8 was ...

Product Review of AVO MCNSPORT AE86 Suspension Its always been discussed "whats the best suspension for the ae86?" and i think most people will agree that TRD comes out on top with they're shortstroke adjustable The problem is that the TRD suspension is only available in Japan and is quiet expensive and now with the Yen being so strong prices have risen again We at MCNSPORT are delighted to announce that we will be launching a new range of ae86 suspension specially designed with the same valving as the TRD shortstroke adjustables We are working in collaboration with a very well known suspension company to improve on the suspension designs already available for the ae86 while making our new range extremely affordable Front: -We will be manufacturing a shortstroke adjustable front insert with the same dimensions as the TRD unit Rear: - Also on the rear we will be manufacturing a shortstroke adjustable shock absorber but the outside of the tube will be threaded. The threaded outer tube allows the option to run a rear coilover system. The suspension can be purchased in both configurations as just a shock absorber or as a rear coilover system - We are going to use a 1.9inch ID rear spring which allows the spring to sit right up to the floor without a need for a complicated suspension top like other designs - We are also going to make available the option of a spherical metal bush (rose joint) or poly bush mounting for the rear shocks. This should satisfy the serious race enthusiast as well as the Sunday driver Yet another ...

Porsche 911 GT3--Chicago Cars Direct HD 2007 Porsche 911 GT3 (997) test drive and walk around from Chicago Cars Direct. The GT3 is the road-going basis of the world's most popular race car (more than 1000 have been built since 1998). That makes it the pinnacle of the Porsche production-car pyramid as well as the homologation special that justifies the existence of the GT3 racing car. The secret to its split personality is Porsche Active Suspension Management, or PASM, which allows drivers to alter the dynamic character of the car by pushing a button to modify the shock valving of the three-way adjustable Bilsteins. "You can never be happy with one setup for both the road and the racetrack," Hartmut Kristen, Porsche's director of motorsport, says from the pit wall while Walter R"hrl rockets past in a screaming yellow GT3. "With PASM, we don't have to compromise." It's no coincidence that Porsche's motorsports honcho and a two-time World Rally Champion helped develop the GT3. Unlike the Ferrari Enzo, the Bugatti Veyron, and the Porsche Carrera GT, the GT3 isn't an exercise in corporate ego and wretched excess. Nor is it a car whose fundamentally uninspiring qualities have been overcome with heroic surgery, such as the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution, the Chevrolet Cobalt SS, and various AMG Mercedes-Benzes. The GT3 is the 911 pared down to its essence. As such, it embodies the very soul of Porsche, a company that considers motorsports not merely a marketing strategy but a corporate imperative. The first Porsche ever ...

PT Gazell on Half Valving - Interview Snippet from Join me for a small portion of my interview with PT Gazell where he covers how half valving works on a standard major diatonic harmonica. To see the rest of this interview (~90m) visit and become a subscribed member. First picking up the instrument in his late ***s, the Wisconsin-born, self-taught player PT Gazell honed his craft by taking on all manner of musical styles including bluegrass, folk and pop. PT found his way to Lexington, Kentucky in the mid-seventies. At the time Lexington was a hotbed of young bluegrass musicians and PT fell right in with the likes of Ricky Skaggs, Jerry Douglas, Bela Fleck and others. While in Lexington, PT recorded his first album for Sugar Hill Records titled Pace Yourself. PT was the first harmonica player, and the second artist, to be honored with a recording contract with famed Sugar Hill Records. PT soon became a sought after side man and session player for some of Nashville's biggest stars and spent the next part of his career playing and recording all over the world along side the stars of the day. As exciting and fun as that period was, I also began to get somewhat frustrated. Tired by the road and frustrated by the musical limitations presented by the standard diatonic harmonica, Gazell put his instrument down and disappeared for a while. When he finally reemerged it was with a newfound enthusiasm in part created by his introduction to valved harmonicas. Using self-valved harps, Gazell's music literally ...
