Chufa's Uveitis Chufa is undergoing treatment for uveitis and needs her pupil dilated with some atropine drops (as well as some antiinflamatory drops). You can see her cataracts very clearly. She's doing well as you can now see the white of her eye actually WHITE and it used to be totally red. She's doing rather well and I think we're going to ditch glaucoma for now :)

Cataract Surgery and Longstanding Uveitis 38 year old female presented for cataract surgery with bilateral uveitis since childhood. At age 13 she was diagnosed with cataract and synechiae. Peripheral iridotomy was performed. Pupil would not dilate beyond 2 mm. Healon was used to tease the synechiae apart. Iris hooks were used to increase pupil size. Divide and Conquer Nucleforactis phacoemulsification technique was used to debulk the advanced cataract. Patien vision improved from 20/150 BCVA to 20/20 UCVA. The eye has been quiet with no uveitic episodes.
