  • 70 one arm pullups and 30 regular in under 30 minutes I'm calling this, "100 pull ups the hard way" it's 5 sets of 12 one arm pullups with ascending weight (from unweighted to 14 lbs.) then a set of 5 one armed pull ups in a row each side, then two sets of 15 regular pull ups. Sorry for the low quality I had to lower the video quality on my camera because I didn't know if I could fit the whole vid on my memory card. I took this as one continuous shot that came in at 28:41 with rests and time spent walking to and from the medicine balls. I had to take two slightly extended rests to let other people use the machine I was on but don't think I could have got the total time down by more than a minute or two. This is the second time I've done this set but the first time I did maybe 30 total and that was about a month and a half ago. I would like to try a strictly unweighted set and see how fast I can get 100 one arm pull ups as it should be a lot easier and faster than this (Possibly a world record? at least recorded?) Quick Stats: Age: 31 Height: 5'6" Weight: 135
  • Flybarless 450 - Test 5 - Weighted vs. Unweighted blades In this video I compare the Smartmodel scale 450 weighted blades to the unweighted blades. The weighted blades definitely make things run hotter (lipo, motor, esc) but it flies very smoothly. It's a little sluggish, but it's stable. The unweighted blades were a handful, but were still much smoother than the woodies or the CF blades that I tried with the FBL head before. My next test will be to take the weighted blades to the field and do some forward flight and see how it handles. The blades are available here: .hk

  • Let's Play The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past - Part 24 Part Twenty-Four: The Palace of Darkness Link tip-toes into the dim anteway of the palace, a place that feels strangely familiar. The Palace of Darkness, eh? Well it's not that dark, so...umm...hold on, you mean, there will be more pitch-black rooms deeper into this place? Yup, that's right. Dark rooms, dark bottomless pits, falling platforms, unweighted door switches...as well as the introduction of several common enemies to this game. Biri are electrified jelly-fish-like creatures that come in two forms: blue biri die with one slash of the Master Sword, while red biri split into two mini-biri. Fortunately for Link, the biri don't actively chase him around. Same can't be said for the pometto (the turtles), though! And what's worse, these critters are virtually impregnable to conventional weapons. What Link needs is something with a little more "umph," and that something is the Magic Hammer. With a resounding pound, the pometto are rendered helpless on their shells for a small bit of time, enough for Link to drive his sword deep into the belly. Besides the biri and the pometto, the place is also home to stone statues that shoot fireballs from their mouths, a vast increase in the number of anti-fairies lingering in the halls, and the helmasaur...a cute little mammal that hides behind a mask of solid steel, capable of withstanding even the power of the Master Sword. Where did all these darling little helmasaurs come from? The answer may rest behind the last door of the ...

  • Fall 2010 Convocation Ceremony - Biola University Chapel President Corey opens the Fall semester introducing the 2010/2011 University Theme: "Zealously Going Where God Leads." Over 3000 students, faculty and staff gathered in Biola's Chase Gymnasium on Wednesday, August 25 to kick off the first day of classes at the Fall 2010 Convocation Ceremony. This year's incoming class marks the largest in Biola's history by far--over 1300 new undergraduates. These men and women come from 42 states and 16 countries, and in keeping with Biola's high standards of academic excellence, they have an average unweighted GPA of 3.52. These new students, along with 17 new faculty, were ceremonially introduced and welcomed into the Biola community. President Corey charged and commissioned the new students and faculty to academic excellence and to uphold Biola's mission and vision. Returning faculty lined the first rows of bleachers, extending their hands in a prayer of dedication. Participating in the ceremony for the very first time was new Provost, Dr. David Nystrom. Nystrom presented the new faculty to President Corey, while also receiving the charge given by the President. President Corey gave the official Convocation address entitled, "Contagious and Courageous Zeal." His message unveiled Biola's theme for the year: "Zealously Going Where God Leads." The Biola community left challenged and inspired as the Fall semester begins.
  • Round 5 Fan Test Comparison Compilation Same as my individual fan tests, except I clipped out and ran the 10,20,30,& 40 CFM levels side by side. After rendering and reviewing again, I'd probably switch a couple around as to which is better than the other, but I expect you'll have you'r own personal preference anyhow. One thing I've learned is not to use the Mastech db numbers. These are not weighted. For noise level, I would suggest using the dBA bar chart listed up top next to the spectrum. Just left of the whole spectrum is an SPL all, this represent dbA and a better relative comparison for noise level. In addition, I would also suggest putting more weight into the sound of what you hear. Consider listening to the audio without looking at the video and see which tones you like better. Anyhow, this is the end of round 5. I've been working on improving my test set up and have some great leads on more sponsors for more fans..so stay tuned!! Here are the details of the tools used in testing: -New flow chamber 21" length of 8" PVC, egg crate insulated with flow spreader (34 ea 1" x 4" tubes). -Tested through an XSPC RS120 radiator, hard mounted with M4 screws and grommets. -Air flow CFM not calibrated, only for Round 5 relative comparison purposes. Measured via anemometer vane on the chamber outlet in a 3.5" port, display is shown on far left. -Mastech sound pressure meter second from left is unweighted SPL approx. 8" from fan as shown. I do not recommend using this for much of anything, not weighted. I'm actually ...

  • R5 Fan Test Servo Nidec (Scythe) Gentle Typhoon AP-15 1850RPM Round 5 Testing Notes: New flow chamber 21" length of 8" PVC, egg crate insulated with flow spreader (34 ea 1" x 4" tubes). Tested through an XSPC RS120 radiator, hard mounted with M4 screws and grommets. Air flow CFM not calibrated, only for Round 5 relative comparison purposes. Measured via anemometer vane on the chamber outlet in a 3.5" port, display is shown on far left. Mastech sound pressure meter second from left is unweighted SPL approx. 8" from fan as shown Third meter is measuring fan amperage Fourth meter is fan voltage at plug (Watts = amps x volts) Video via Canon T2i in HD with a Tokina 12-24 lens Audio via Zoom H1 Handy Recorder, manual level 100, low cut on, Wav file format, on tripod in line with fan hub axis 12" from fan with foam windscreen. Octave band (Spectrum) is processed from ymec using DSSF3, spectrum is A-weighted, 1/12 Octave. dbA is also arbitrary for Round 5 comparison only, not calibrated. Audio and Video combined and rendered in Sony Vegas in HD 8MB/S .wmv format before uploading to YT. Suggestion, use the measurement tools as a rough round 5 comparison only, but note that sound level is just that...quantity. This does not measure sound quality which you'll simply have to listen for. Also look for sharp spikes in frequency, these generally are more annoying than a fan that has a higher dBA but smoother curve, etc. Regardless, sound is very subjective, my intent is to provide a good recording for you to listen to and make your own judgments ...

  • Pale September by fiona apple This is my first attempt at making a video. I hope you guys like it! Lyrics: Pale september, I wore the time like a dress that year The autumn days swung soft around me, like cotton on my skin But as the embers of the summer lost their breath and disappeared My heart went cold and only hollow rhythms resounded from within But then he rose, brilliant as the moon in full And sank in the burrows of my keep And all my armour falling down, in a pile at my feet And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep He goes along just as a water lily Gentle on the surface of his thoughts his body floats Unweighted down by passion or intensity Yet unaware of the depth upon which he coasts And he finds a home in me For what misfortune sows, he knows my touch will reap And all my armour failing down, in a pile at my feet And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep All my armour falling down, in a pile at my feet And my winter giving way to warm, as Im singing him to sleep Rate, comment and enjoy! =]
  • Devin Henderson - 25 mph Jump-On @ 10% unweighted! Devin improved quite a bit during his time training here. In this video, you see him doing jump-ons and retros at a high rate of speed. In some clips, he is only unweighted 10% of his body weight which is little more than lifting the metal bar and the chains holding the vest. Unweighted speed training is overspeed training. When unweighted by 30% of body weight, athletes run much faster than they could normally because they do not have to put as much force into the deck so the foot does not have to be on the deck as long. This allows a faster rate of turnover. Once they get to a much higher rate of turnover, we begin to reweight them and they are able to hold much of the gain. For more information, see
  • Green Damsel Nymph Part 1.mpg a simple nymph, that is a real fish catcher. This one is unweighted, I recommend weighting or making as a bead head depending on the conditions. As nymphs move towards emergers I believe its good to have intermediates. So for lake or pond fishing, I like fishing this one unweighted so it sinks very slowly or rides in the film. I have had very good success with this flight. I caught my nicest Colorado rainbow on this fly in a #12. I usually tie it in a 14, 16, 18. If the fish are rolling making rise forms I like it in a #12 unweighted. Try it and let me know how you do.

  • Dr Levin parallel bars and walkers, why the GlideTrak is better for unweighted training Dr. Gordon L Levin, MD Orthopedic Surgeon from Los Gatos, CA explains why parallel bars and walkers, which can cause fear and takes longer than the GlideTrak, is not nearly as efficient as the GlideTrak. He also explains how the other devices are very expensive and so ROI does take considerably longer, while there are restrictions to those products as well as not being able to access the patients legs. Dr Levin also explains how un-weighted training helps rehabilitate patients far more efficiently. Swimming pool therapy aids around 20% towards land-based therapy, but the GlideTrak, which is comparable to the more expensive brands (but at a fraction of the price), gets patients to 100% land-based therapy. This is significant. The GlideTrak fits neatly over a treadmill, and takes up very little space. It also allows the therapist to have access to the patients legs. You can review the GlideTrak at http If you have any questions, you can call 1-888-779-7177 and a knowledgeable representative will be glad to assist you.
