Two-Bight Turk's-Head Paracord Lanyard More knotty stuff on my blog: This video tutorial will show how to tie a Two-Bight Turk's-Head lanyard using about 5.5 feet of 550 paracord. The Turk's Head part of the knot is described in 'The Ashley Book of Knots', knot #595. I added the lanyard knot and loop on the end to make it useful as a lanyard. The actual time it took me to make the lanyard, from start to finish, was under 20 minutes, but I edited the video down to 10 minutes. The time consuming parts are making additional passes and then tightening up and working the slack out of the knot. Knot responsibly. A great site to visit, for those interested in knot work, is Knot Heads World Wide Another to learn from is Animated Knots by Grog *The AudioSwap music that is playing with the video is 'Amy' by Thinkstandard.

Eric Sprott interview with James Turk Subscribe to our newsletter at Eric Sprott () and James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation, talk about how there isn't enough silver in the silver market to back existing "paper silver" commitments. Sprott thinks that "silver will be the investment of this decade". They talk about the dynamics of the gold market and how it has entered the second phase of its bull market. They look at ETF, central bank and coin demand. They also look at the huge paper-to-physical mismatch. Eric calculates that only 0.75% of financial assets are currently in gold. They discuss the importance of owning physical, not paper gold, and keeping it yourself or with a trustworthy company that gives you direct access to it. They talk about GATA and the significance of the work they do. They also talk about Sprott PHYS and PSLV and how they allow holders the option to redeem their physical metal, unlike most other ETFs. They talk about fiat currencies and their flaws. The dollar, the euro and how bank leverage has built up since the Fed was established in 1913, setting the stage for a huge crash. Eric talks about bank failure Friday, the numbers released by the FDIC and all the signs pointing to the coming train wreck. They talk about the attempts to prevent liquidation of bad assets and how governments are throwing good money after bad. Eric then talks about the 3 conditions that he thinks are necessary to see gold as overvalued, and how we are very far from ...
James Turk's presentation on the gold price and the US dollar James Turk of the GoldMoney Foundation speaks about currency devaluation and the rising gold price. How the gold price is rising against all major currencies and monetary policy is political, having abandoned all pretence of seeking monetary stability. He warns of the dangers of a hyperinflationary crisis. James also explains why gold should be considered money and not an investment. He also talks of the coming dollar collapse and the waterfall decline in the dollar, especially since Ben Bernanke's words on QE. He talks of different examples of hyperinflation from paper money hyperinflation in Weimar Germany to deposit currency hyperinflation in Argentina. The presentation was held on 29 April 2011 in Munich, Germany.

John Embry interview with James Turk at GATA's Gold Rush 2011 Subscribe to our newsletter at John Embry () and James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation, talk about the price of gold and the US debt downgrade. They discuss Sinclair's $1764 level and how the majority of observers still disparage gold, even if perception is slowly changing. They explain how the physical gold market is taking charge of gold price discovery and how strong physical demand will drive the price much higher. They talk about how the price of gold will react in another market meltdown, similar to 2008, and whether there will be a sell-off. They conclude that this time the flight to safety will be more important than the rush for liquidity and that gold is uniquely placed to act as a safe haven, especially with T-bills and other traditional safe assets discredited by US debt issues. John and James explain how important it is to own tangible asset that are free of counterparty risk. They also talk about some relatively safer currencies like the CAD, AUD and CHF, and conclude that, although better than the US dollar, they also have their flaws. They talk about mining stocks and how undervalued they are. They mention key levels to watch in the XAU and HUI, as signals of a start to the mining stock rally. They move on to look at sovereign debt issues and how they expect other countries, like the UK, to suffer downgrades soon as well. John also explains that China, despite its huge potential, is not without issues and he fully ...

Egon von Greyerz and James Turk discuss how gold can preserve your wealth Egon and James Turk discuss why gold is the best way to preserve wealth for the long term and how we are living through very interesting times for the gold market. Central banks are debasing all major currencies and this will lead to much higher gold prices. They discuss whether there are any other currencies that could serve as a safe haven, such as the Swiss franc. They come to the conclusion that all major currencies have abandoned hard money since the '70s and that gold is the only good refuge left. They note how a high CHF hurts Switzerland's competitiveness. Egon explains to James why even in a world financial crisis, Swiss tradition of gold ownership and gold saving mean that Switzerland is one of the safest places in the world to keep your gold. They comment on confiscation and taxation issues and risks. They talk about the massive financial problems in the world, from the EU to the USA. They comment on the hardships of Portugal, Spain, Italy and France. UK is, after the US, the most likely candidate for hyperinflation. Egon claims that this process is starting now, with the dollar's fall acting as the trigger. As Voltaire said "paper money eventually reaches its intrinsic value, which is zero". They talk about how savers and investors are fooled by nominal prices and fail to see how their savings have lost value massively in the last decade. In terms of gold the US dollar and even the Dow have lost value since the '70s. They comment how easy it is to lose sight ...

TURK PYRAMIDS.China's Secret: Hidden Uyghur-Turk Pyramids. TURKS ARE CHILDREN OF LOST CONTINENT OF MU.(ATLANTIS) Those are over 100 pyramids, made of clay, have become nearly stone hard over the centuries. Many are damaged by erosion or farming. One pyramid is as large as the Pyramid of the Sun of Teotihuacan in Mexico (which is as large as the Great Pyramid of Giza). The big pyramid is about 1000 feet high (other descriptions estimate 1000 to 1200 feet high) and roughly 1500 feet at the base, which makes it twice as large as any pyramid in Egypt. Most are flat topped, some have small temples on top. Chinese officials have rebuffed all questions about these pyramids and all requests to view them since they are among top secret of China. Successive dynasties have safeguarded the secret from the outside world, the Communists included with the sites being in Forbidden zones - that is until recently when too many toursists coming from the Terracotta Army kept 'discovering' them. They have been planted with trees to disguise them as hills from the air. The Chinese authorities finally admitted to the 'existence of pyramidal structures' in the 1980s, nowadays some of them even have visitor centres attached. At the end of the 19th and the first few decades of the 20th century, scientific and archaeological expeditions to the region along the Silk Road in East Turkestan led to the discovery of numerous Uyghur cave temples, monastery ruins, wall paintings, statues, frescoes, valuable m***cripts, documents and books. Members of the ...

James Grant and James Turk discuss gold, the Fed and the fiscal situation of the USA James Grant of Grant's Interest Rate Observer ( and James Turk of the GoldMoney Foundation discuss the history and mission of the Fed, how mission creep has taken it wildly beyond its initial purpose into the territory of QE, ZIRP and other fiat currency experiments. They talk about who benefit from zero interest rates and how savers are penalized by this easy money policy. They explain that the US have been off the gold standard since 1913, Bretton Woods being only a shadow of the classical gold standard. In the last 40 years low interest rates have encouraged leverage and speculation, which have reached incredible levels. They discuss the fiscal profligacy of the US government. A solution to debt levels could still be found if the political will existed. US strengths and positive momentum could still be harnessed to save the dollar if people's eyes could be opened. However they conclude that every paper currency in history has eventually gone to zero. James and Jim also talk about ZIRP and the absence of the bond vigilantes after over 30 years of bull market in bonds. How traders no longer care about fundamentals, like balance sheets, but rather focus on very short time horizons and the spreads between funding costs and yields. How this situation is unsustainable. They see gold still as a very under-owned, misunderstood and marginal asset still shunned by institutional investors, with a few notable exceptions which indicate that the tide could be ...

James G. Rickards talks to James Turk Subscribe to our newsletter at James G. Rickards () and James Turk, Director of the GoldMoney Foundation, talk about the European sovereign debt crisis and the European Central Bank buying Italian bonds. They talk about the ECB's role in the crisis and how it is becoming increasingly politicised, in contrast with its predecessor of sorts -- the Bundesbank. They talk about the possible differences between Jean-Claude Trichet and his successor Mario Draghi. James Rickards explains how Europe is developing a common fiscal policy with a common Treasury, in the form of the European Financial Stability Facility (EFSF), which will dictate fiscal policy to many member countries -- such as Greece -- in exchange for rescue funds. Rickards is bullish on the euro, among other reasons because the eurosystem owns 10000 tonnes of gold. Rickards and Turk debate whether or not central banks really own the gold they claim to own, and talk about how the current currency war -- with countries competing to see who can devalue their currencies the most -- is a disastrous zero-sum game. They discuss the problems facing countries whose currencies are appreciating rapidly, such as Brazil and Switzerland, and what these countries might do to curb this appreciation. They comment on the recent debt-ceiling debate and how the compromise reached, despite all the headlines, does not actually include any real cuts, including only cuts in proposed increases ...
