  • EC997,Ducati 999,Matt Green,Nemesis ecu tuning Top AFM race bike. Prepared by Desmoto, San Francisco, Matt Green, owner and rider. This Duc is tuned with an EC997 dynamometer system and uses a full;y programmable "Nemesis" ECU to handle the tuning commands. The "Nemesis" gives the tuner full control over, not only fuel and ignition. but starting settings, throttle linearity, coolant temp correction, and a host of other features. This tunability makes it, in my first hand experience, far preferable than a power commander and Ignition module. Using an EC997, with Realtime HP readout makes the Nemesis ECU "almost" a breeze to tune. is highly experienced in Nemesis ECU tuning.

  • (no audio from 4:56 to 21:31) Intro to XtraDB, a Scalable InnoDB-based Storage Engine Presented at MySQL Camp 2009 by Ewen Fortune of Percona. Unfortunately there is no audio from 4:56 to 21:31, due to either a hardware malfunction or someone pushing a button they shouldn't have. :( XtraDB is a storage engine for MySQL based on the InnoDB storage engine, designed to better scale on modern hardware, and including a variety of other features useful in high performance environments. It is fully backwards compatible, and so can be used as a drop-in replacement for standard InnoDB. XtraDB includes all of InnoDBs robust, reliable ACID-compliant design and advanced MVCC architecture, and builds on that solid foundation with more features, more tunability, more metrics, and more scalability. In particular, it is designed to scale better on many cores, to use memory more efficiently, and to be more convenient and useful. The new features are especially designed to alleviate some of InnoDBs limitations. We will talk about current status of XtraDB and directions of development.

  • 1966 GTO Fuel Injection Swap Dash Fab V8TV www.v8 - Transplanting a modern engine into an older car presents many challenges, one being the engine management system and gauge panel display. We chose to run a Mast Motorsports M90 ECM for a variety of reasons. Mast has been a leader in the GenIV engine family for some time, and they retail a whole line of ready-to-run high performance crate engines ranging up to 700 Horsepower, and when controlled by their M90 ECM, they are completely street drivable. We used the M90 ECM, a Mast harness, and their drive-by-wire throttle pedal in our GTO. The M90 features complete tunability, wideband O2 feedback, and knock sensor feedback to let high performance engines run on pump gas without issue. The L92 V8 engine uses electronic sensors on the block for vital functions, and the info is all sent to the Mast Motorsports M90 Engine Management system just as it would be in the 2007 GMC Yukon the in which engine was originally installed. The M90 features CAN network connectivity, which allows it to pass data from the ECM to other devices. Watch the video and read on how the we used very trick Mast CAN Network gauges to monitor the GTO's vitals in a clean, simple manner.

  • Creating advanced fine nanomaterials from functional nanoclusters using all kinds of elements The Nakajima Laboratory is working to create functional nanomaterials using all kinds of elements. The Lab studies nanocluster and nanoparticle properties and structures from a chemical viewpoint, and develops new types of nanoclusters using unique methods. Q. "A pure material shows a solid or liquid phase formed from the assembly of atoms and molecules. But the behavior of materials varies greatly, depending on how the types of bonding are combined in assembled process. The mixing of other elements means, in a sense, that various types of bonding become competitive to form the most stable species. This makes things diverse, because substances dont necessarily take the forms that researchers expect. So in our research, we produce nanomaterials consisting of nanoclusters by making advantage of various elements in the periodic table. This work includes investigating what features the nanoclusters have." Nanomaterials of nanoclusters and nanoparticles can be regarded as the smallest units of functional materials. Theyre attracting attention because they may have unique and novel functions, such as luminous, magnetic, or catalytic properties. Nanomaterials may also be different from the types of materials studied so far, which range from atomic assemblies in semiconductor and metal elements to organic and biological molecules. The Nakajima Lab is studying the electronic properties, geometric structures, and stability of nanomaterials, and creating entirely new groups of ...

  • KRONOS- Portable Microsecond Flash Photolysis Spectrometer Kronos is a portable flash photolysis spectrometer designed for transient absorption and emission measurements on the microsecond and longer time scale. Kronos can measure solid and liquid samples in the transmission as well as the reflection mode. The Kronos patent pending design utilizes a Xe arc flash lamp as an excitation source, which allows for wavelength tunability. The photoinduced transient species are investigated by passing the output of a white light emitting diode (LED) through the sample. Using an LED as a probe light source results in superior stability and low noise. The probe wavelength range of Kronos is 425-700 nm. After traveling through the sample, the probe light passes through an interference filter. After that a 10 nm wide section of the spectrum is delivered to the detector photodiode. The detector voltage output is digitized and transferred to a PC for generation of a kinetic trace and for further manipulations.

  • Tetrazzi- piezoknot, scrollcapmod First seg is how to make a barre of yew. After being drilled with a #4 countersink bit from the inside out, brass screws are screwed in, with washers. 4 wires are applied to the tetrahedron of brass nodes. This is using a beefier piezo than that in the manual, so i could glue it first and apply its leads in situ. The tetrahedron knot is designed to hold the leads down on to the piezo, which is extremely delicate. Secont seg is putting four ***og scroll capacitors. These are WIMA polypropylene, 1 microfarad. The bigger, the more tunability each scroll has. I am popping off the ceramic caps, because although they said they were 10microfarads, i can hear them drifting because of a combination of things: -effective series resistance, provides a "bounce-back" which is actually pleasing due to its liveliness -temperature coefficiant, which does not dirrectly affect drift, but may play a factor in decreasing effective capacitance -in general the ceramic caps are too small, and their boundaries too gray. not self-healing like plastic caps.
  • OLD MAN WINTER - Original by Francesca This video was shot on a mountain top on February 19 2011, shot at approximately 2332 feet, and in below freezing temperatures. Literally blood, (of Jayude) sweat, (of the whole crew) and tears (of mine...) went into making this. Getting there and back was one of the most dangerous things I have ever done. So PLEASE, watch this in HD! We did it in one take, so the ice winds + the exhaustion from getting up there took its toll on both Matilda's tunability, as well as my voices clarity. I left out the second verse by mistake also, its in the lyrics below. But hey, we're on a mountain. Thanks Dogmouth! ‪ Enjoy :) Lyrics: old man winter, slipped under the door, and through the cracks in the floor, tiptoed quiet, quietly creeping, but I could hear him he was weeping I could hear him he was weeping I could hear him he was weeping So I called from neath' my covers you can come in theres no others, waited waited waited for him for old man winter to come in everybody else was sleeping everybody else was sleeping Old man winter teetered as he walked, It was rest that the old man sought Hands were weathered paper thin delicate lines covered his skin delicate lines covered his skin delicate lines covered his skin Old man winter sat down by the fire, whispered that he was so tired eyelids heavy they shut with ease and he drifted into dreams drifted slowly slowly deeply drifted slowly slowly deeply I did watch him heard his breathing coarse and wiry, hewn but ...
