Moscow Art Trio - Introduction and Kalina A Polish television recording of the concert at the Kalisz Piano Festival shows the trios brilliance and humour, impressively accentuated by the facial expressions and body language of the three musicians. In addition to the eighty-minute concert, the DVD presents a lengthy interview with the ensemble recorded in Moscow in the early summer of 2006. First Live-DVD from Moscow Art Trio 10 years became the call loudly to publish a live DVD of Moscow Art Trio. Because the music is fantastic, the visual aspect absolutely signifies an extension of the hearing experience. The subtle and emphasised humor of the trio comes with the DVD only properly to carry and makes clear that they count to the most thrilling formations of the new jazz. The concert of the Polish Kalisz festival contains the classics of the Moscow Art Trio who were played in among other things on the legendary CD HAMBURG CONCERT. The concert is complemented with a 18-minute test recording and an interview of the musicians.

Coal Tattoo By The Kingston Trio The second troupe of the legendary pop-folk group the Kingston Trio performs a song by award-winning country songwriter Billy Edd Wheeler, who had penned an earlier singles hit for the Trio, "The Rev. Mr. Black." The number appeared on the Kingstons' 1964 album "Time To Think," whose jacket is pictured in the video. "Time To Think" was the most serious effort by the usually good-time-music-styled Kingston Trio to create a theme album, one that would reflect the changes in music tastes that had evolved during the group's (to that point) seven year history. Other commercial pop-folk groups like Peter, Paul and Mary and the Chad Mitchell Trio, often with songs by emerging icons Bob Dylan, Phil Ochs, and others, had revived interest in the politically-oriented folk music pioneered by the Weavers in the early 1950s But Beatlemania was sweeping the country in the 1964 release year of this album, and the Byrds, the Mamas and Papas, and eventually Dylan himself were mere months away from launching the folk-rock boom. These two factors contributed to the tepid (for the Trio) sales of "Time To Think" - only a bit more than 100000 units where their earlier albums had ranged from a half a million to a million and a half in record sales. Acoustic folk music as a commercial phenomenon was coming to an end. The only unfortunate aspect of that demise was the small audience that heard what was a very strong musical effort on this album by the Trio, the group that is universally ...

Bill Evans Trio - Some Day My Prince Will Come - 19 Mar 65 (9 of 11) London, March 19, 1965 For those who know of Evans as primarily a lyrical player, listen to these chops. Personnel: Bill Evans - p Chuck Israels - b Larry Bunker - d Set: Part I Five (theme) Elsa Summertime Come Rain Or Come Shine My Foolish Heart Re: Person I Knew Israel Five (theme) Part II Five (theme) How My Heart Sings Nardis Who Can I Turn To? Some Day My Prince Will Come How Deep Is The Ocean? Waltz For Debby Notes: "Some Day My Prince Will Come" was written by Larry Morey (lyrics) & Frank Churchill (music) for the 1937 Walt Disney animated film SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS. This is the third incarnation of Bill Evans' great '60s piano trios, playing at a very high level. Chuck Israels' bass work, in particular, is nothing short of virtuosic. His playing shows the influence of Scott LaFaro -- especially in his use of counterpoint -- but he's supremely inventive. Background: Evans' first (and greatest) trio featured the irreplaceable Scott LaFaro on double bass and Paul Motian on drums. After LaFaro's tragic death in a car accident in 1961 (at age 25), Evans was so overcome with grief that he didn't play again publicly for almost a year. In early '62, he reformed his trio and hired Chuck Israels to replace LaFaro. Motian departed the trio in 1964, and was replaced by Larry Bunker. Okuma Trio Spinning Reels.m4v Okuma Trio spinning reels advance the category with Okuma's proprietary Crossover Construction. Using the best elements of aluminum and graphite in the build, Trios deliver sal***er fishing strength and corrosion resistance in a light weight package that's comfortable in freshwater fishing applications too. Also featuring Okuma's Dual Force Drag, the Trio utilizes the expansive space at the bottom of the spool for an additional drag washer that works in concert with the more standard top stack. By applying pressure to both the top an bottom of the spool, the drag runs incredibly smooth. Top end drag pressure is increased, and due to the fact the overall drag system is larger, heat is dissipated faster, which extends the life of the drag washers. Trios are available in standard and high-speed gear ratios so anglers can choose whether they want great control over slow presentations or the ability to pick up line incredibly fast.

Beethoven Piano Trio in D The Ghost 1st mvt In 1808 the composer and violinist Louis Spohr was invited to a rehearsal in Beethoven's house of the D Major Piano Trio Opus 70 No. 1 known as The Ghost, and wrote of the occasion -- 'It was not an enjoyable experience. First of all the piano was dreadfully out of tune, which did not trouble Beethoven in the least, since he could not hear it. Little or nothing remained of the brilliant technique which had been so much admired. In loud passages the poor deaf man hammered away at the notes crashing through whole groups of them so that without the score one lost all sense of the melody. I was deeply moved by the tragedy of it all. Beethoven's almost continual melancholy was no longer a mystery to me.' -Louis Spohr.
