Chris Cohen - Tissues What The Saturdays really meant to sing about (Mainly for Ellen and the gang!) Lyrics: Sometimes I feel like fluid is leaking out of my mind, Yeah my nose is dripping all of the Time, Especially when it dusty or cold outside, I dont know how to make it stop, Use my sleeve but it leaves my nose sore, If I leave it , it just drips on the floor But theres one thing that works and I know, That Ill take them wherever I go Chorus: Where would we be without tissues, To clean up after lifes little issues, Mr Kleenex if you were here I would kiss you, For stopping from saying atishoo Where would we be with out tissues, tissues tissues. Without tissues, tissues, tissues. And I know its wrong But sometimes the lonely nights go on for so long And there are *** ladies when you turn the tv on, And you use your credit card for premium ***. Its not your fault its no ones fault And after you feel dirty and low, And you feel like youre lost and alone , But then youre there to say its ok, And wipe the tears and the sheets and duvet... Chorus: Where would we be without tissues, To clean up after lifes little issues, Mr Kleenex if you were here I would kiss you, For stopping me from saying atishoo Where would we be with out tissues, tissues tissues. Without tissues, tissues, tissues. The Toilet, Hayfever Tissues we always need ya, When we sniff, kids vomit Youre always there to clean up.

The Tissue Tree Next to Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art, the Kleenex Silk Touch Tissue Tree is inspired by the work of the world famous 'wrapping' artist, Christo. Swathed in over 1km of silk, the tree is laden with 700 blossoms that each dispense Kleenex Silk Touch tissues to passers by. Staff nearby are encouraging people to touch the silky soft tree and feel the difference of Kleenex Silk Touch for themselves.

Connective Tissue Connective Tissue Connective tissue is made up of cells and fibers in a "jelly-like" ground substance. Present throughout the body, connective tissue holds parts together and acts as packing. There are several kinds of connective tissue, which differ in the amount and type of cells and fibers in their makeup. Most common is loose areolar tissue, which contains most of the basic connective tissue components or ground substance: Mast cells, collagen fibers, macrophage cells, fibroblasts, blood supply, fat cells, elastic fibers, reticulin, nerve supply and plasma cells. Widely distributed throughout the body, areolar tissue forms binding sheaths around muscles, nerves and blood vessels, and is present within organs as filling materials. Tendons, a dense connective tissue which attaches muscle to bone, are bundles of inelastic collagen fibers (1) made by fibroblasts (2) in the ground substance. Adipose tissue, another connective tissue of the body, is composed mostly of fat cells. It cushions internal organs, forms an insulating layer under the skin and provides a fuel store. Cartilage is also a connective tissue found in the body, but differs from other connective tissue because it has no blood vessels.

Four Categories of Tissues in the Body The 4 categories of body tissues--Epithelial, Connective, Muscle, and Nerve--are described in this video, which was made in Dr. O's A&P1 class. Make sure you answer & review the questions at the end of the video, and also the following questions: 1.What is the structure, function & location of each type of epithelial tissue (ie, squamous, cuboidal, columnar, pseudostratified, & stratified)? 2.What does pseudostratified mean? 3.Describe the location, function, and characteristics of the types of connective tissue. 4. What are neurons and neuroglia? 5.What are sensory and motor neurons? 6.For each of the 3 types of muscle, give its location, function and characteristics.
Adult Stem Cells Used To Rebuild Heart Tissue / Video Adult Stem Cell Therapy For Heart Disease / Educational Video. Public service advertisement courtesy of Vescell. If you suffer from coronary artery disease, cardiomyopathy, or congestive heart failure and your doctor told you that there's nothing else that can be done, he may not know about VesCell™ adult stem cell therapy for heart disease. VesCell™ is a revolutionary new treatment for heart disease that actually rebuilds heart tissue using the patient's own stem cells. Stem cells are the body's "master cells" whose normal function is to repair and replace damaged tissue. VesCell™ harnesses and enhances stem cells' unique abilities, enabling the patient's own body to heal itself. In a patented process, our cardiologists and vascular surgeons take a sample of the patient's own blood, separate the stem cells, multiply them in vitro, and then inject them where they are most needed. In clinical trials worldwide, hundreds of patients have been successfully treated, with more than 75% showing substantial improvement. If you are suffering from the debilitating effects of heart disease with little hope of getting better, there is no other treatment in the world that can give you a better chance to get back to a normal life than VesCell™. Stem cells are special cells that can turn into many different cell types in the body such as heart muscle cells, brain cells, and skin cells. Stem cells for therapeutic use can be obtained from three potential sources: 1) Embryonic; 2) Certain ...
23. Tissue Engineering (cont.) Frontiers of Biomedical Engineering (BENG 100) In this lecture, Professor Saltzman continues his discussion of tissue engineering, and its role in facilitating healing, tissue regeneration, organ replacement, drug delivery and as model for studying human physiology. Specific examples from current research by scientists at Yale are used to illustrate some of these points and to highlight the current progress in the field. Some examples are generating neo-tissues from hydrogel scaffold seeded with cells, healing spinal cords and controlling mechanical properties of newly grown blood vessels with external conditions. Complete course materials are available at the Open Yale Courses website: open.yale.edu This course was recorded in Spring 2008.

Scar Tissue Therapy | Physical Therapy Scar Tissue -- Scar Tissue Therapy There are number of Scar Tissue Therapy available online for products containing tea tree oil, alpha-hydroxy acid, salicylic acid, or benzyl peroxide etc. These are some of the more common dermatological lasers and their common in scar tissue therapy applications. Some laser dermatologists will own and operate several of these instruments while some clinics may only own one or two particular lasers. Lasers have helped open up a whole new field of skin treatments and have also helped to make previously performed scars tissue therapy procedures faster. And often less painful with much shorter recovery times and decreased chance of complications. Scar Tissue Therapy is such a great concern for many patients. Scar tissue therapy method involves detaching the acne scar from the deeper tissues which lets a pool of blood to form under the acne scar and clot. The blood basically helps in the formation of connective tissues under the scar so that the acne scar area comes up level with the skin surface. Dermatology procedures such as dermabrasion and filling injections can help fill in acne scars and resurface your skin. However, this Scar Tissue Therapy procedure is somewhat invasive. And in the case of dermatology, you will experience bleeding and need at least one week for recovery time after the surgery. Today, with the courtesy of scar tissue therapy product manufacturers. A variety of new products are there at your disposal that ...

Colorado State University Develops Artificial Tissue Medical students in both the human and veterinary world must translate information from the classroom to surgical suite with limited realistic practice. Students learn basic techniques such as sutures by practicing on carpet foam, rubber sheets, pig feet and whole, raw chickens from the grocery store, and orange rinds. Colorado State University veterinarians Dean Hendrickson and Fausto Bellezzo have developed artificial silicone models that realistically respond to incisions, clamps and sutures. For example, tissues respond to mistakes or correct techniques with either increased or decreased bleeding. It has realistic layers of silicone material tailored to fit the texture, color, shape, behavior and size of animal or human body parts with layers of skin, fat, connective tissue, muscles and accurately placed blood vessels.
