ArF 2kHz excimer laser.mpg In 1980, Arnold developed the excimer laser for the Canadian society PRA. The parculiarity of this laser is to be ultra compact and produce 2000 pulses per second. To obtain this performance, the laser consists of a barium titanate Blumlein line with corona preionization electrodes. A hydrogen thyratron switch is used for discharging the Blumlein line. A cooling of the gas mixture He/Ar/NF3 consists of a turbocharger driven by a variable frequency electric motor and an aluminum heat exchanger. The rotation speed is adjustable between 70000 and 120000 rpm. The output energy per pulse is 2 mJ at 2 kHz with a pulse duration of 12 ns. The wavelength is 193 nm

Commercial TEA N2 Consecutive Misfires This is for my blog at The laser is a commercial/commercial-experimental nitrogen laser that I've been working on getting running. After a few adjustments recommended by a friend I can get this to discharge on almost every trigger of the thyratron, but I'm still getting arc-over instead of lasing, however; I am still getting closer to this thing functioning right. A lot of people will point at generic N2 or TEA n2 lasers, I think they're great, but for me the challenge is to get a commercial piece of laser equipment back up and running again. Once they're running I loose interest and move to my next project. The challenge of making something work is much more educational and interesting to me. As usual I've disable comments, ratings, video feedback, etc. The videos are for sharing, I don't care what people think of them.

These Gas Discharge Tubes contain no mercury and, due to an advanced design, feature high reliability and a long lifetime being operating under wide range of environmental conditions.
