Archos 7 Home Tablet (8GB) for $199 $199... 7-inch... New Archos Android Tablet... !!! Buy it at This is optimized for low power (up to 7 hours video playback on the battery), lower cost Android multimedia tablet features. It is powered by a 600mhz Rockchip 2808 processor, does web browsing pretty well (for an ARM9 processor) and plays all video codecs at up to 720p video playback (at up to limited 2500kbit/s bitrates for 720p). Archos is going to try to sell this device in all retail stores of the world at only $179 in the USA and 149€ in Europe (because European countries have more taxes they don't just convert Euro prices to US Dollar prices), it may quickly become a best-seller and I think it is a great very low-cost alternative to the iPad. For advanced users that absolutely want the fastest OMAP3440 ARM Cortex A8 800mhz processor, there is the Archos 5 Internet Tablet available today below $249 at Radio Shack or you might want to wait another few months (I am speculating) for Archos to release the next generations of ARM Cortex A8 or ARM Cortex A9 based tablet devices (probably also for a bit more expensive than this Home Tablet series) at all different screen sizes (I speculate and the interviews around the web point to clues towards from 3" to 10" Android Tablets starting at $100...) For now, this Archos 7 Home Tablet is being released this next month or by May already and at this amazingly low $179 price for the 2GB version with MicroSD card slot. There will also ...
Apple "MacBook Touch" MultiTouch Tablet Concept "iPad" ***Updated with Product Specs*** This is a video I put together for a Product Management class in the MBA program at Georgia State University in early 2008. The video is meant to illustrate the MacBook Touch concept - a tablet computer that uses Apple's multi-touch technology. For the class project we were required to come up with a new product concept and develop the idea using Product Development and Management techniques learned in class. The video was put together using iMovie '08 and is my first attempt at making a video. Several of the clips were taken from Apple videos on the internet, and some were recorded by me in order to simulate using multi-touch on a tablet computer. The concept mockup photos were done with Microsoft Paint. The video of Mute Math playing at the end is from their Flesh and Bones Electric Fun DVD. There are a few mistakes in the video and some things I would have liked to do differently had I had the time, but I was working on a short schedule trying to put the rest of the project together. Overall I think the video came out well and made a nice ending to the final presentation in class. Music: "Reset" by Mute Math Video created by John Fudge ****Update**** Some have messaged me and asked what the final specifications looked like for the project. Here are some of the potential specifications that were settled on using a combination of Conjoint ***ysis, visual product mock-ups, an 8 person Focus Group, and specs of some of Apple's current ...

DIY 13.4" Carbon Fiber Touchscreen Tablet PC - http:/// This is a project I have been working on in my spare time for the last few months. I wanted a Windows 7 touchscreen tablet with a large screen that could handle HD video and wasn't too thick or power hungry. The build cost for this was around $600-700. I had to sit at a weird angle for filming so I had a couple issues with the touchscreen, but it was only becuase of my odd positioning. The touch responsiveness is acutally pretty good, not iPad good, but good enough for me . Enjoy! Check out my blog for more info

Archos 70 Internet Tablet Review First unboxing and review of the Archos 70 Internet Tablet, a $275 alternative to the $499 iPad and the $599 Samsung Galaxy Tab. I was amazed by how thin and light it was when I first took it out of the box, at 300 grams, it feels like it is empty of electronics. The capacitive touch screen on an Archos tablet is cool too, I need to get used to that. Hopefully I will learn to type on it as fast as I do with my finger-tips/nails on my resistive screens. My plan this winter is to carry this 7" Archos Android tablet with me everywhere in the inside of my jacket pocket. In this video, I try to show you multi-touch, web browsing speed, email, facebook, Google Maps Street View, Live wallpapers, video playback, HDMI output and more.

8Ball & MJG *Life Goes On (ft. Slim Thug) * NEW * 8Ball & MJG The Memphis rap duo 8Ball & MJG does not consider its forthcoming album "Ten Toes Down" to be a new beginning, even though it's the pair's first for TI's Grand Hustle label. "It really just feels like another chapter in the book of 8Ball & MJG," 8Ball (ne Premro Smith) tells . 8Ball says he and MJG (Marlon Jermaine Goodwin) "just wanted to give (the album) a lot of wildness, a lot of truth about how we've been feeling about certain things these last three years" since the release of 2007's "Ridin' High," "and keep it crunk. That was the whole premise behind everything." The duo recorded in Memphis and Atlanta, where its Push Management is based, and worked with producers such as Drumma Boy, David Banner, Mo B. Dick, Nard & B and Frank Nitti of Nitti Beats.

Painting T-rex... trying the Genius Tablet. Here is the first time I have ever tried another tablet. This is a digital painting of T-rex, time-lapsed. Actual time was about 3 hours. Done in Photoshop of course. Genius Pensketch 9 x 12 Regarding the painting, I had an old pencil sketch on lined paper sitting around for about a year that I had planned on painting into an oil painting. I started it, but never finished it... And I don't think I ever will find the time to finish it... Hence this digital version of the same thing. UPDATE: Oh, yeah-- the tablet. It's nice. Not bad at all. The results are definitely the same as they always are. I'll definitely continue use of it on one of my computers.
