Entry from: Boquete, Panama Entry Title: "Panamanian Highlands" Entry: "Well, I hit a significant anniversary this week. It was one year ago that I began this adventure when I got in my car and began my two month drive across the US. It is hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that I have been traveling for an entire year. I feel so incredibly fortunate to have had this opportunity and am grateful every day for what I am able to enjoy. I ended up spending 2 ½ weeks in Bocas and enjoyed it quite a bit. But I will not lie, I was getting a bit bored and needed to get moving. The last few days I was there I met an interesting Cuban American guy named Pablo, who is on a similar mission to mine...exploring possibilities for re-locating to Panama. So we shared some information, (he actually has an old colleague of his that lives in Bocas) hung out a few days, and practiced our Spanish and English. It was great for me, because it forced me to step up to the plate with my Spanish...I had become muy floja( very lazy). I have included some photos from the Independence Day Parade in Bocas. Eventually I made a loose plan to head towards David, about 4 hours south of Bocas to consider my next move. David is the second largest city in Panama, and I was interested in a day or two there and then easy ...

What You Feel - Gambit x Polaris Because TaraneePheonix and I are determined to use every Buffy OMWF song, I bring you this. Now I'm not the biggest fan of Wolverine and the X-men, and I really, really think this pairing is...ehh. It just fits. It's a sort of Jazz style song and it mentions explossions several times, while it caters to Gambit's "I'm the hottest thing" ego. Lorna's pretty innocent and young in the series, so the voice fits (What I mean I'm fif*** so this Queen thing's illegal), and she does have one badass sister who wants to kick Gambit's ass. And she has the princess thing going for her, so I think it works well. Now I once more had clip finding failure so sixty-ish percent of Gambit is X-men Evolution Gambit (who's better looking, just sayin'), and the Wolverine and the X-men clips are either bright or dark. Ehh.. Sorry. It was that or sub titles.

Entry from: Mysore, India Entry Title: "Chamundi Hill" Entry: "This morning Carla and I left early after breakfast and went to Chamundi Hill, one of the main sights just out of town. It has a 1000 steps leading to a temple at the top, kind of like Haguro-san in Yamagata. Our rickshaw driver didn't realize that we wanted to walk all the steps, and he brought us partway up the hill. The stairs are inconsistent heights, made of stones rather than paved concrete, painted red and white. Immediately we saw monkeys wandering about, and Carla grabbed a small branch. Someone told her that is good intimidation for the monkeys. But they seemed very disinterested and didn't require any aggressive behavior to keep them from approaching us. Above our heads, lots of huge spiders had woven networks of webs suspended amongst trees and a few power lines. Legs included, most were bigger than my hand. It was a creepy vertigo-arachnaphobia mix standing on the stairs. After a couple sections of steps, we stopped at an area with tourist buses and food vendors, plus people selling figurines, flowers, and toys of course. In order to prevent theft of our shoes, Carla and I stowed them in our bags so that we could walk around the huge statue of a seated bull, covered in flower garlands and part of a shrine. Carla brought me past the ...
