A Christmas Carol (1951) Movie Trailer with Alastair Sim as Scrooge FACEBOOK ► fb.me ► amzn.to FILMS ► Doyou believe in Santa Claus? Click here! ► http Original movie trailer. Scrooge (1951), released as A Christmas Carol in the US, is one of the best-known film adaptations of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol. It starred Alastair Sim as Ebenezer Scrooge and was directed by Brian Desmond Hurst, with a screenplay by Noel Langley. The film also features Kathleen Harrison in an acclaimed turn as Mrs. Dilber, Scrooge's charwoman. Fans of British cinema will recognise George Cole as the younger version of Scrooge, Hermione Baddeley as Mrs. Cratchit, Mervyn Johns as Bob Cratchit, Clifford Mollison as Samuel Wilkins, a debtor, Jack Warner as Mr. Jorkin, a role created for the film, Ernest Thesiger as Marley's undertaker, and Patrick Macnee as a young Jacob Marley. Michael Hordern plays Marley's ghost, as well as old Marley. Peter Bull serves as narrator, by reading portions of Dickens' words at the beginning and end of the film, and also appears on-screen as one of the businessmen cynically discussing Scrooge's funeral. In the book, Mrs. Dilber is the name of the laundress whereas the charwoman was unnamed. The film also expands on the story by detailing Scrooge's rise as a prominent businessman who was corrupted by a greedy new mentor that had lured him away from the benevolent Mr. Fezziwig. When that new mentor, who does not appear at all in Dickens's original story, is discovered to be an embezzler, the opportunistic ...
Scrooge, or Marley's Ghost (1901) Produced by the English movie pioneer RW Paul, this version of 'A Christmas Carol' is the earliest surviving adaptation of Dickens' work on film. The only known print, held by the BFI, is incomplete, but manages to tell enough of the story for it to be recognisable. This first cinematic excursion into Dickens' most popular tale was an ambitious undertaking at the time. Not only did it attempt to tell an 80 page story in five minutes, but it featured impressive trick effects, superimposing Marley's face over the door knocker and the scenes from his youth over a black curtain in Scrooge's bedroom. Muppet Christmas Carol - Scrooge Here are the lyrics: When a cold wind blows it chills you, Chills you to the bone. But there's nothing in nature that freezes your heart like years of being alone. It paints you with indifference like a lady paints with rouge. And the worst of the worst, The most hated and cursed, Is the one that we call Scrooge. Unkind as any, and the wrath of many, This is that Ebenezer Scrooge. Oh, there goes Mr. Humbug, there goes Mr. Grim. If they gave a prize for bein mean the winner would be him. Oh, Scroogey loves his money cause he thinks it gives him power, If he became a flavor you can bet he would be sour. Yuck, Even the vegetables don't like him. There goes Mr. Skin flint, There goes Mr. Greed. The undisputed master of the underhanded deed. He charges folks a fortune for his dark and drafty houses. Us small folk live in misery, It's even worse for mouses. Please, sir, I want some cheese. He must be so lonley, He must be so sad. He goes to extremes to convince us he's bad. He's really a victim of fear and of pride. Look close and there must be a sweet man insid Naaaah! Uh Uh. There goes Mr. Outrage, there goes Mr. Sneer. He has no time for friends or fun, His anger makes that clear Don't ask him for a favor cause his nastiness increases. No crust of bread for those in need, No cheeses for us meeses. Scrooge liked the cold. He was hard and sharp as a flint. Secretive, self contained. As solitary as an oyster. There goes Mr. Heartless, there goes Mr. Cruel. He never gives, he ...

'Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck' Tribute ***************************************** " I was alone - me against the world - and the world was winning! " ***************************************** Whew! This was very long to make! As a kid, I was a big fan of DuckTales and of the Disney Duck comics. Through a sudden surge of nostalgia, I found on the net Don Rosa's marvelous series and I just fell in love with it! I felt I had to show that love somehow and that's how this video was born! This is my first MV, so if you have so suggestions or criticism, go ahead! I'd be happy to hear what you have to say. (Nothing here belongs to me, so don't sue me please! I've got no money!) Lyrics: I don't eat I just devour, everyone in every hour All is me, is all I need and that's all that I care Propelled through all this madness, by your beauty and my sadness I'll never change or rearrange, till I've finished what I've started. And life leads me here It shows me I have never really loved no one but me Like the time you slipped through my hands I'll never understand why I'm such a selfish Man Walk around me, not before me I'll pretend not to ignore ye But I'll compromise if I realize you can do something for me I'm ugly and you know it, but you think that I'm a poet So I'll keep the rhyme if I feel in time, it gets me where I'm going And life leads me here It shows me I have never really loved no one but me Like the time, you slipped through my hands And I'll never understand No I'll never understand, why I'm such a selfish Man ...

Christmas Carol - Trailer (1938) The timeworn Dickens' story about the old merchant Scrooge and how his own disappointments in life shape his view that both life and men are not worthy of his notice or concern. He displays no charity to mankind generally, and in particular, to his employee Bob Cratchett and his unfortunate son, Tiny Tim. But the dessicated gent is about to get his comeuppance when he imagines he is visited by the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future.
