Kenneth stle of Spring by C Sinding Kenneth Joseph does an adapted version of Rustle of Spring on a tenor, double second and one side of a cello pan. This was done in attempt to almost capture the full range of the piano.

Variation on "Rustle" (Haibane Renmei theme) - Kaoru Mevy "Rustle" is a theme from the soundtrack of the Anime Haibane Renmei (灰羽連盟), composed by Kō Ōtani (大谷幸) Haibane Renmei is one of my all time favourites. It was one of the first Anime i watched along Last Exile, Serial Experiments Lain, Texhnolyze (all great Animes btw). It is very calm and sensitive and very feminine too imo. Though it is not for everyone i guess. For some it could be probably too gentle(boring). It really depends if you like the atmosphere or not ;) I know, i play the tune a lot faster than the original (and quite static too) and most of my variation is not really a variation but a improvised build up on the harmonics ... ;) Anyway, since i first heard the track 5-6 years ago it has always stayed with me. It completely altered my way of improvising. This was the time when i started to focus mainly on white pentatonic, trying to simplify (and therefore clarify) my playing. I think it is about time to graduate from that, so this piece (together with the 2-3 others) will make a nice "Summer A Major/minor" suite ;) This one was recorded on July 23rd 2010. Well, i hope you like it! (especially directed to the fans of the Anime series ^^) .mevy -----------------

Sinding - Rustle of Spring "Rustle of Spring" Op.32 No.3 ("Frühlingsrauschen") by Christian Sinding, played live by Wagner Stefani D'aragona Malheiro Prado on September 2000 in Itapira/Brazil.

Rustle the Leaf saves the environment... This was the last animation I made for the Rustle the Leaf Project in January of 2007. The following month, the good folks funding the project decided that Rustle the Leaf had run his course and stopped the funding, which meant we all moved on to other things. This was the fourth animated thing I had ever done, and at this point I had started to push FlashMX as best I knew how to push it, and had a working methodology for how to get nice results with it. As with all of the Rustle the Leaf Projects (and most of the other animations I've posted) the stuff was drawn traditionally in pencils, then inked with a No. 2 sable watercolor brush, then scanned into PhotoShop and painted, exported as .png files and assembled for animation in Flash. I'm grateful to Steve and Melissa Zeitler, the makers of Citra-Solv, who funded Rustle the Leaf for three years and mostly for giving me the opportunity to work with Dave Ponce for so long and to have so much fun doing good work. Haibane Renmei - Hanenone - Rustle Web: http Rustle ANIME: Haibane Renmei OST: Haibane Renmei(2002) [audio] Haibane Renmei (灰羽連盟, Haibane Renmei? lit. Ash Feather Federation, translated by the author as Charcoal Feather Federation) is a 13-episode anime series based on the work of Yo***oshi ABe. It began as an original dōjinshi comic series, The Haibanes of Old Home (オールドホームの灰羽達, Ōrudo-hōmu no Haibane-tachi?), but this was quickly superseded by the anime and was never completed. The anime series was also broadcast by Animax in its respective networks around the world, including its English networks in Southeast Asia under the French title Ailes Grises (Grey Wings). The series follows a young (presumably ***age) girl named Rakka, a newly arrived Haibane (灰羽, Haibane?) (an angelic-looking being), and other characters in the city of Glie (グリ, guri?), a walled city with one gate through which no one inside is allowed to leave. The music for the series is composed by Kō Ōtani. Source:

Sinding - Rustle of Spring Frühlingsrauschen, Rustle of Spring or Bruissement du printemps; by me tell me what you think about it please I know that's not a perfect record, nor a perfect play but it's hard to play without a fault!

Rustle of Spring Rustle of Spring Op.32,No.3 was composed by the Norwegian Composer Christian Sinding in 1896. It is a perennial favourite amongst both amateur and professional pianists. I wasn't 100% happy with my performance in this video to be honest, but it was the best of several recorded attempts I made. As an amateur performer, I always feel that my performances can be improved upon given more time and practice. I continue to strive for perfection though, whether or not it is ever really attainable, at least for an amateur performer. Gae41 Footnote: There seems to be a few negative comments about the tempo that I've chosen to play this piece. I thought I'd try and explain my tempo choice. I am an amateur, not professional, performer. The tempo I chose was the correct tempo for me to make an error-free performance. This, I'd prefer, over a slightly faster, but errorful performance. Thats just my personal choice. Listen to the other (amateur) performances of this piece and you'll hear that, although they may be played faster, they are also full of errors, vague phrasing and changes of tempo etc. I chose the tempo which was suitable for my own amateur abilities and for the performance I wanted to do. Also, why does "Spring" represent the notion of "speed" or have to be fast? To me it sums up a stirring, a beginning anew of life and Nature in bloom. Does that necessarily mean fast? I dont think so. I think our tastes have been swayed over the years by listening to professional virtuoso ...

The gorillas are a main attraction for tourists to Uganda, as many are habituated and accustomed to human visitors. Tourism revenue has funded some gorilla protection efforts. Worldfocus special correspondent Martin Seemungal treks through the wilderness to learn how these animals are being threatened and helped — witnessing some precious new arrivals.
