Uniquelele - BMG Article Right Hand playing techniques part 1 BMG (Banjo, Mandolin,Guitar) is the oldest fretted instrument magazine in the world! Started in 1903, it has recently been revived by Clem Vickery who has taken over Clifford Es*** Music, a publishing house as well as an instrument and accessory seller. Their website is being constructed, but the magazine can be ordered through cliffordes***@. They also stock some good ukuleles and have as much about Ukes in the Magazine as they do about B's M's ang G's. Retitling it BUMG was not a goer however. This video goes with the next issues article "Right Hand Techniques in Uniquelele arrangements part 1" and will eventually be put together with other material as a Tutor for this style of playing which is also the basis of the VCM Ukelele exams.

The 24 Days of Final Fantasy III 2009 -- Day Five (1/4) In case you're wondering what's happening, here's the deal. Last week I uploaded part of Day Six's playthrough instead of the correct day, Day Five. Since I didn't feel like re-titling every single file (even though I'd have to go through the description anyway), I decided to delete those videos, then re-upload them in the correct order. So this is the first part of Day Five, a bare-bones 30 minute playthrough. In this clip, I finally decide to get myself off the Veldt and leap into the Serpent Trench. I did not trigger any of the "side" scenes that are available here, so be warned that some of the more humorous gags are not present. While traversing the Serpent Trench, I chose the paths that would grant me treasures, and finally ended up in Nikeah, where I spent money needlessly, of course. As always, if you want to look at the rest of the videos, you may view the entire playlist here:

Best Friend - Bella's song Watching the early morning news on TV, I saw an interview with the actress Kristen Stewart who plays Bella in Stephanie Meyer's Twilight stories. In the third story Eclipse the movie of which will be released later this month, Bella has to choose between her true love the vampire Edward and her best friend the werewolf Jacob. It struck me as interesting that under the surface of a modern vampire-werewolf tale, the old eternal triangle is very much in play! Petra suggested retitling the song from the more accurate "Torn" to the rather oblique "Best Friend" (since the sad best friend does not get the girl, he should at least have a song named for him) and dedicating it to all fans of the series. Many fans nowadays write their own stories as supplements or extensions to the original works, but we did not know of many people writing a song instead of a story. So here is my contribution. For those not interested in the Twilight stories, just treat this as another variation on an old plot. Pearl and I had a very good friend in the world of theatre who couldn't decide whether to marry A whom he liked more or B whom he loved more. Pearl of course told him to marry B and he did. But it did not last. He then married C who probably was closer to being his best friend and they remained together till his death. Barrack Obama put it perfectly when he invited Michelle to join him on the stage with the words "My best friend and the love of my life." when he won the election. Undoubtedly ...

TROLL 3: THE SWORD OF POWER (sequel to TROLL 2) In 1991, a cheap Italian-produced swords-and-sorcery flick called Ator IV: Quest For The Mighty Sword ( was retitled Troll 3: Das Schwert Der Macht (The Sword Of Power) in Germany, to cash in on the video success of the notorious Troll 2 (). Its retitling was not totally unjustified - directed by Troll 2's producer, the infamous Joe D'Amato, the film was also produced by his company Filmirage, re-uses some of Troll 2's crew as well as some very familiar-looking creature masks... Filmirage made another film sometimes known as Troll 3, but better known as The Crawlers or Contamination .7 (http Here are the highlights of the troll (sorry, goblin) scenes from "Troll 3". Some of the scenes have been cut down, mostly just very long, boring shots of people walking used to pad out the film. "Nilbloggers" beware though - these scenes are the ONLY traces of any connection to Troll 2 in this movie. No mention of "an ancient city of Nilbog", I'm afraid. And yes - this film makes Troll 2 look like Citizen Kane. Marvel at the wonders of the second troll, who must have been the vocal template for Napoleon Dynamite. And pity the poor actress who had to hump one of them... TRIVIA: The little man in this clip was murdered in Italy to much notoriety a couple of years later.

Kyu Sakamoto - Sukiyaki - Ue O Muite Arukou. I also have the English Version ! Kyu Sakamoto (Sakamoto Kyu?, born Hisashi Oshima (Oshima Hisashi?), December 10, 1941 - August 12, 1985) was a Japanese singer and actor. He is ranked at number 18 in a list of Japan's top 100 influential musicians by HMV. Biography Sakamoto was born in Kawasaki, Kanagawa prefecture as the youngest among nine siblings—his nickname Kyu, meaning 'nine', is an alternate reading of the kanji for his given name (Hisashi). His parents, Hiroshi Sakamoto and Iku Sakamoto, both worked at a restaurant. Sakamoto is cousin to the free-jazz saxophonist Kaoru Abe. In high school Sakamoto began to sing and became very popular. In 1958 he joined the Japanese pop-band "The Drifters" as a singer. One of his best known and most beloved songs was "A***a ga Aru Sa" ("There's Always Tomorrow"). It was covered by the Japanese band Ulfuls in 2001. Sakamoto worked very hard for old, young and handicapped people in Japan. "A***a Ga Aru Sa" was the leading theme of the 1964 Handicap Olympics in Tokyo. On August 12, 1985, Kyu Sakamoto died in the crash of Japan Airlines Flight 123. Before the doomed aircraft hit the ground, he managed to write a farewell note to his wife, Yukiko Kashiwagi. Married in 1971, they had two daughters, Hanako and Maiko. Time to Step Up: The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement ... moving forward. This is a response to the split between The Venus Project and The Zeitgeist Movement. Honestly I'm quite confused about what we're titling the focus of the general direction for a better world guided by logic, and intelligent application of the scientific method (if I stated that right), but I want to articulate how I hope to contribute regardless of what we're calling things after this. Clearly we're not "there" yet; we're human beings, we're flawed, and that is exactly why we're taking on a task such as this - to overcome and move past the things that interfere with us all living a life of abundance. I've got a long way to go personally, but I'm committed to applying myself.

Narc's Territory [E01b] Part 2 of the first episode. EDIT: So, I've been told a proper Let's Play should start a world from scratch -- at the "punching trees and finding coal" level. So I'm retitling this series "Narc's Territory" -- because I really don't want to do yet another "Let's punch trees and find coal" episode.

GRACIAS POR 3000000.00 PUNTOS DE VISTA DE MIS VIDEOS. OBRIGADO PELAS 3.000.000,00 DE VISUALIZAÇÕES DOS MEUS VIDEOS. CHINGON is a Mexican rock band based in Austin, Texas. Their sound is heavily influenced by mariachi, ranchera, and Texan rock 'n roll music. History Chingon was formed by film director Robert Rodriguez to record songs for his 2003 film Once Upon a Time in Mexico. They contributed on Mexico and Mariachis, a compilation album to Rodríguez' Mariachi Trilogy, and released their debut album, Mexican Spaghetti Western, in 2004. The band's name comes from a Mexican slang term, chingón, loosely but closely enough meaning "badass" and/or "awesome". Chingon also contributed the song "Malagueña Salerosa" to Quentin Tarantino's Kill Bill Vol. 2 — which Rodríguez scored — and a live performance by the band was included on the film's DVD release. They also contributed to the soundtrack for his next film, a collaboration with Tarantino, Grindhouse, doing a cover of the film's opening theme, re-titling it "Cherry's Dance of Death". Rodríguez plays guitar in the band. The band has also made a appearance on "George Buys a Vow", an episode of the US sitcom George Lopez. "Ready-Made" Group Show at Yvon Lambert - July 12, 2007 Ready-Made features The Art Guys, Michael Brown, Didier Faustino, Zilvinas Kempinas, Koo Jeong-A, Paul Lee, Sarah Lucas, Cady Noland, Shinique Smith and Rachel Whiteread, collaboratively curated by the staff of Yvon Lambert New York and Paris. Each artist in the exhibition presents their own spin on the ready-made: some continue the Duchampian tradition of "re-titling" or re-purposing of a common object to make an objet d'art, others use an amalgamation of everyday objects in the creation of an entirely new work, while others fabricate seemingly or deceptively common objects from other raw materials. In each instance, the artist expands the viewers' perception of the object and the art.

Sukiyaka - Ue o muite arukō - by Kyu Sakamoto Kyu Sakamoto (坂本九, Sakamoto Kyū, born Hisashi Oshima (大島九, Ōshima Hisashi), December 10, 1941 - August 12, 1985) was a Japanese singer and actor. His most popular song, Ue o muite arukō ("I look up when I walk") was very popular in Japan and North America. Released by Capitol Records in the US as Sukiyaki (Capitol 4945), it topped the Billboard pop charts in the United States for three weeks in 1963 -- to date the only song sung entirely in Japanese to do so. The lyrics were written by Rokusuke Ei and the melody was composed by Hachidai Nakamura. The lyrics tell the story of a young man who looks up and whistles while he is walking so that his tears won't fall. The verses of the song describe him doing this through each season of the year. The original Japanese title was considered too difficult for American audiences to remember and pronounce, therefore a well-known word that people would associate with Japan was used - Sukiyaki, even though the word has nothing to do with the song. A Newsweek columnist noted that the re-titling was like issuing "Moon River" in Japan under the title "Beef Stew." In 1989 the later slain singer Selena recorded "Sukiyaki" in her eponymous EMI album "Selena". In the UK, it was the first ever Japanese language song to enter the charts, under the American assumed title "Sukiyaki". It became a sustained Top-Ten hit in the chart entries for more than a month. The actual word "Sukiyaki" refers to a popular Japanese dish usually containing ...

SUKIYAKI 上を向いて歩こう - hommage a Kyu Sakamoto "Ue o muite arukō" (上を向いて歩こう " shall walk looking up") is a Japanese song that was performed by Japanese crooner Kyu Sakamoto, and written by Rokusuke Ei and Hachidai Nakamura. It is best known under its alternative title "Sukiyaki" in English-speaking parts of the world. The song reached the top of the sales charts in the United States in 1963, and was the only Japanese language song to do so. In total it sold over 13 million copies internationally. The lyrics start as follows: 上を向いて歩こう ue o muite arukō ([I] shall walk looking up) 涙がこぼれないように namida ga kobore nai yō ni (so [my] tears won't fall) 思い出す春の日 omoidasu haru no hi (remembering spring days) 一人ぼっちの夜 hitoribocchi no yoru ([on this] lonely night) The recording was originally released in Japan by Toshiba in 1961. It topped the Popular Music Selling Record chart in the Japanese magazine "Music Life" for three months. In 1963, the British record label Pye Records released a cover version of the song by Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen. They were concerned that English-speaking audiences might find the original title too difficult to remember/pronounce, so they gave it the new title of "Sukiyaki'". This title was retained when Capitol Records in the United States, and His Master's Voice in the UK, released Kyu Sakamoto's original version a few months later. The title, sukiyaki (which is a Japanese steamboat dish), has nothing to do with the lyrics or the meaning of the song; the word ...

CONNIE FRANCIS SINGS THE BEATLES ("And I Love Him") - 1965 Connie tackled the classic Beatles song "And I Love Her," re-titling it "And I Love Him" on her 1965 LP, "Connie Francis Sings the All-Time International Hits." I created this slide show two years ago, only to find that it had been ripped on You Tube - but the guy using it was nice enough to credit me for making the video. I think Connie's bossa nova style interpretation is beautiful and that her voice is great here.

PAUL WHITEMAN conducts KORNGOLD 1944 Here's a radio rarity. In the early 1940s, Paul Whiteman was music director for the ABC network and commissioned various contemporary composers to write original works for broadcast. In 1944, he approached Erich Wolfgang Korngold who, pressed for time owing to film commitments, simply took the first movement of his Baby Serenade written in 1928, and slightly shortened it, also reducing its scoring and retitling it 'Merry Overture'. Miraculously, an acetate survives of the live broadcast and while the performance may lack precision, it certainly makes up for that with sheer gusto.

To Know Her Is To Love Her - Ukulele This is a video of firsts.... My first video of 2010. My first video in my new room. My first video playing my brand new 'Fluke' ukulele. My first video where I played a song in 'Six-Eight' time. This song, originally titled "To Know Him Is To Love Him", was written by Phil Spector inspired from words written on his father's tome stone. Spector's vocal group, 'The Teddy Bears' recorded the song in 1958 and reached number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Beatles modified the lyrics so it could be sung by a male narraror, re-titling it "To Know Her Is To Love Her". Other versions were recorded under the title "To Know You Is To Love You". I apologize for my voice in this one. I woke up with a slight sore throat, but decided it was better to make a video with my voice in the condition it was in, rather than wait for it to get worse. Thanks for watching, lease comment and SUBSCRIBE! If you enjoyed this video, take a look at my others, I make lots of ukulele videos! Also, special thanks to my Aunt Dawne and Uncle Jim for the gift of this excellent plastic body ukulele!!!!

Hey Joe (Live) by Jimi Hendrix ~ RockBand 2 DLC for 10/12, Expert Guitar/Vocals 100% FC DLC Release 10/12/10 ~ Jimi Hendrix Are You Experienced? "Hey Joe" is an American popular song from the 1960s that has become a rock standard and as such, has been performed in a multitude of musical styles by hundreds of different artists since it was first written. "Hey Joe" tells the story of a man who is on the run and planning to head to Mexico after shooting his wife. However, diverse credits and claims have led to confusion as to the song's true authorship and genesis.[3][4] The earliest known commercial recording of the song is the late 1965 single by the Los Angeles garage band, The Leaves, who also had the first hit version of the song with a re-recording in 1966. Currently the best-known version is The Jimi Hendrix Experience's 1966 recording.[6] The song title is sometimes given as "Hey Joe, Where You Gonna Go?" or similar variations. Folk rock singer Tim Rose's slower version of the song (recorded in 1966 and claimed to be Rose's arrangement of a wholly traditional song) inspired the first single by The Jimi Hendrix Experience. The ex-bassist for The Animals, Chas Chandler, who was now focusing on managing other acts, had seen Rose performing the song at the Cafe Wha? in New York City and as a result, was looking for an artist to record a rock version of "Hey Joe". Chandler discovered Jimi Hendrix, who had also been playing at the Cafe Wha? in 1966 and performing an arrangement of "Hey Joe" inspired by Rose's rendition. Chandler decided to take Hendrix with ...

Frankie and Johnnie Thomascow`s version "Frankie and Johnny" (also known as "Frankie and Albert" or just "Frankie") is a traditional American folk song, and tells the story of a woman, Frankie, who finds that her man Johnny was screwinganother woman and shoots him dead. Frankie is then arrested; in most versions of the song she is also executed. The first published version of the music to "Frankie and Johnny" appeared in 1904, credited to and copyrighted by Hughie Cannon, the composer of "Won't You Come Home Bill Bailey"; the piece, a variant version of whose melody is sung today, was titled "He Done Me Wrong" and subtitled "Death of Bill Bailey". At least 256 different recordings of "Frankie and Johnny" have been made since the early 20th century. Singers including Lead Belly, Big Bill Broonzy, Johnny Cash, Sam Cooke, Lena Horne, Lonnie Donegan, Bob Dylan, Mississippi John Hurt, Taj Mahal, Charlie Patton, Charlie Poole, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elvis Presley, Jimmie Rodgers, Gene Vincent, Fats Waller, Van Morrison, Brook Benton, and Stevie Wonder. As a jazz standard it has also been recorded by numerous bands and instrumentalists including Louis Armstrong, Count Basie, Bunny Berigan, Dave Brubeck, Duke Ellington, and Benny Goodman. Champion Jack Dupree set his version in New Orleans, retitling it "Rampart and Dumaine".
