This is part 2 of Acid Entertainment's video highlighting the investigation of a house in Olmsted Falls, OH. This house was very active, particularly in the master bedroom, where 2 portals were discovered. * I've decided to test the youtube counter that always gets stuck at 300ish views. I'm going to see if I stay off the page until after it hits 300, if it will cease to stall. I read youtube thinks it a fake hit when you're on your page answering back comments. I'd like to see if this is so. I will answer comments after the video reaches 300 views.

Ervin Somogyi: The Responsive Guitar - featuring Guitarist / Composer Steve Erquiaga What makes a truly exceptional hand made steel string guitar really 'sing' is how the sound box is worked by a master. Veteran luthier Ervin Somogyi is highlighted in this short film about his work and his new books, "The Responsive Guitar" and "Making The Responsive Guitar", available from Luthiers Press in June of 2009. With more than 40 years experience in Berkeley, California as one of America's finest hand made steel string guitar builders, Somogyi is at his best -- in sound, finish and design. A rare musical glimpse into the workshop of one of America's most respected hand guitar builders, Ervin Somogyi. Original music "If Dreams Could Dance" and "Under the Tuscan Sun" composed and performed on a Somogyi guitar by guitarist Steve Erquiaga, available from his album, Café Paradiso.

The Responsive Eye, Part 3 Part 2: Part 1: In 1965, an exhibition called The Responsive Eye, created by William C. Seitz was held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. The works shown were wide ranging, encompassing the minimalism of Frank Stella and Tony DeLap, the smooth plasticity of Alexander Liberman, the collaborative efforts of the Anonima group, alongside the well-known Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley. The exhibition focused on the perceptual aspects of art, which result both from the illusion of movement and the interaction of color relationships. The exhibition was enormously popular with the general public, though less so with the critics. Critics dismissed Op art as portraying nothing more than trompe l'oeil, or tricks that fool the eye. Regardless, Op art's popularity with the public increased, and Op art images were used in a number of commercial contexts. Bridget Riley tried to sue an American company, without success, for using one of her paintings as the basis of a fabric design.

Myron Krueger - Videoplace, Responsive Environment, 1972-1990s ---------Category: Pioneers of MediaArt--------- Documentation produced 1988, Museum of Natural History, Vernon; The participant's image is digitized to create silhouettes which is ***yzed by specialized processors. The processors ***yze the image's posture, rate of movement, and its relationship to other graphic objects in the system. They then react to the movement of the participant and create a series of responses-be they visual or auditory reactions. Two or more environments could also be linked. A series of simulations is programmed based on any action and Videoplace offered over 50 compositions and interactions (including Critter, Individual Medley, Fractal, Finger Painting, Digital Drawing, Body Surfacing, Replay, among others). To illustrate, when the participant's silhouette pushed a graphic object-the computer choose to move the object or the silhouette. Or, as in Finger Painting where each finger created flowing paint without the distraction of the silhouette. Myron Krueger is one of the original pioneers of virtual reality and interactive art. Beginning in 1969, Krueger developed the prototypes for what would eventually be called Virtual Reality. More info:

Modifying the Akai MPD32 to have much more responsive pads with a simple fix Hot-rodding the MPD32 to make the pads respond a HELL of a lot better (similar to Korg PadKontrol which have, without question, the best-responding pads on a drum pad controller). This video is for anyone who hates the response of their Akai MPD32 pads... but loves the MPD32 as a control surface. Now, I love both. This mod can be done on the MPD18, MPD24, MPD32, and according to someone on the Ableton Live forums, also on the Akai MPK49 (and possibly the MPK61, MPK88, too?) This mod works great, is easy to do... (it's a bit tedious and time-consuming... unscrewing, keeping the circuitboards from coming separated... they're basically attached at all times... just be careful)... and the response is unreal compared to the response when you first open the box. Akai, FIX THIS DESIGN FLAW! It's the same issue with the newer MPC series! There are thousands of us out there who don't bang on our MPCs or MPDs like they're a real drumset! People like to tap lightly, and when we want to hit hard, we will. Hope this helps some of you out there.. if I wind up buying an MPK61 in the future (which I may do), I will do the same mod and put up another video. Good luck! And please don't hold me responsible if you screw up your MPD... I doubt you will, if you're careful.

Responsive Kinematics RESPONSIVE KINEMATICS This is an architectural design project that began through conversations with Ron Resch in December 2008 regarding kinetic and kinematic structural systems. The goal was to create a mutable structural surface out of rigid bodies that can be controlled to adapt to changing conditions and parameters. Unlike much parametric design that is pre-adapted to a given desire, this system offers the potential for continual adjustment. While much kinetic architecture relies on elastic membranes to provide for deformation between bodies, Responsive Kinematics can maintain a constant seal throughout its transformation due to its geometric integrity. For this reason it is an ideal modular system of form, order and control with many architectural and construction process capacities. Prototyping commenced at the California College of the Arts in Virginia San Fratello's "Digital Poetics" class in the spring of 2009. Then the idea was to create an adaptive concrete formwork that could be morphed between castings. The prescriptive yet variable concept was focused on the surface as a tool to produce complex architectural assemblies. It was seen as a means create static parametric forms through accretion. The project revealed that more control over the hinging surface was needed. Development continued and actuation was realized in Jason Johnson's "Robotic Ecologies" class at CCA in the fall of 2009. Arduino provided the control interface. At this point with the addition ...

Mark Hansen and Ben Rubin: Listening Post, Real-Time Data Responsive Environment 2001 Listening Post is an art installation that culls text fragments in real time from thousands of unrestricted Internet chat rooms, bulletin boards and other public forums. The texts are read (or sung) by a voice synthesizer, and simultaneously displayed across a suspended grid of more than two hundred small electronic screens. Listening Post cycles through a series of six movements, each a different arrangement of visual, aural, and musical elements, each with it's own data processing logic. Dissociating the communication from its conventional on-screen presence, Listening Post is a visual and sonic response to the content, magnitude, and immediacy of virtual communication. More info:

rAndom International - Swarm Light, Responsive Light Installation 2010 The 'Swarm Light' is an experimental light installation with a real ‚collective consciousness' that subtly reacts to the viewer's audible presence. The installation is a contemporary example of how the arbitrary boundaries of fine and decorative art, design and utility are no longer of immediate aesthetic relevance. An apparently inanimate object, 'Swarm' unites crucial aspects of rAndom international's continued experimentation with light, behavioural responses and interactive spatial environments. The viewers' presence creates a soundscape that directly alters the behaviour of the entire environment surrounding 'Swarm Light'. Human presence brings a basic form of artificial intelligence to life. Sounds or movement captured as light and shadow create a type of participatory and performative synæsthesia that culminates in an instinctual perception of the space, rather than a cerebral judgement. rAndom was founded by Stuart Wood, Flo Ortkrass and Hannes Koch in 2002. The studio was set up to extend the perspective of contemporary practice. Working from the fringes of art, design, science and architecture, rAndom are developing projects and installations that re-interpret the 'cold' nature of digital-based work and emphasise the interaction between the animate (audience) and the inanimate (object), bringing the two into a powerful relationship of performance. The studio's work has won many awards in the fields art, architecture and design over the past few years. In 2009 ...

Saving Power at Peak Hours California needs new, responsive, demand-side energy technologies to ensure that periods of tight electricity supply on the grid don't turn into power outages. Led by Berkeley Lab's Mary Ann Piette, the California Energy Commission (through its Public Interest Energy Research Program) has established a Demand Response Research Center that addresses two motivations for adopting demand responsiveness: reducing average electricity prices and preventing future electricity crises. The research seeks to understand factors that influence "what works" in Demand Response. Piette's team is investigating the two types of demand response — load response and price response — that may influence and reduce the use of peak electric power through automated controls, peak pricing, advanced communications, and other strategies. Her talk was presented March 10, 2008.

SlateDroid RESPONSIVENESS Review Eken M001 HD - Updated Firmware A video to show how responsive the device is as my previous video did not demonstrate this. Hope this is helpful! As you can see I barely speeded up the last video and did not do so to make the device look better! Follow me on twitter: @MorganKFleming Specs: -800mHz Processor -128mb Ram -7" TFT Resistive touch panel -Resolution = 800x480 -2gb Internal Storage -SD Card slot (up to 32gb) - Comes with: -MSN -Documents to go (Full Version - Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint) -Music Player -Video Player -Ebook Reader -Photo browser -Facebook -Youtube -Web Browser The screen is very responsive, I was expecting it to be the standard unresponsive, hard to press touch screen we're I'm used to from previous china electronics but I found this was quite the opposite. The overall design is good and the hardware buttons feel very sturdy, they give quite a firm click when you press them. I would recommend getting a screen protector if you buy one of these devices as the screen felt very soft under my nail. I have an iPad screen protector on mine that I cut down to fit. It does come with a screen protector but it's pretty useless as it has bubbles which cannot be pushed out and is too big for the screen. The battery lasted about 4 hours for me, despite the manual suggesting it only has 2 hours of battery life, I think this was because I had the brightness turned right down and had all sounds turned off, however I did have the WiFi running. You can see in the video that the screen isn't ...
