Atwoli raps Nyong'o over remark www.ntv.co.ke The NHIF are the other initials that remain on the headlines following the health care body's recent move to increase member contribution rates. A remark by Medical services minister Anyang Nyongo about having lunch at a five star hotel is however the latest centre of an exchange between the minister and COTU secretary general Francis Atwoli. Atwoli has termed the comments made by Medical Service Minister careless and ignorant adding that the 2500 shilling lunch that he compared to the NHIF contribution he was expected to pay was the equivalent of a month's salary for many people living in the slums. Gladys Mutiso reports.

Average is the New Exceptional - Binghamton University Commencement remarks The Binghamton University Events Center was filled with laughter provided by undergraduate Anthony Corvino, a bachelors degree candidate in political science, chosen to deliver the undergraduate student commencement remarks. Corvino championed the "average" individuals out there, who aren't often in the limelight, unlike their genius fellow students. The political science major thanked his "average" mom for always sending him a package of Swedish Fish and Sour Patch Kids on Halloween, and he proclaimed his opinion that Wikipedia is the greatest innovation ever. He then urged fellow graduates to thank those who helped them get to this point in their life. He also told his compatriots that while they may be "average," that doesn't mean they can't have an effect on the world and others. "You aren't given opportunity," Corvino said. "You fight for it." Corvino will remain at Binghamton to pursue his masters degree in elementary education. He has performed with the Dickinson Community Players and in Bard in the Yard and is currently the president of the Roller Hockey Club. Become a fan of this video on Facebook:

Albert Ellis's Hitler Remark at the 1996 ACA Word Conference Jeffrey T. Guterman, Ph.D. discusses Albert Ellis's Hitler remark at the American Counseling Association's 1996 World Conference. The remark was made during the workshop, "Ethical Issues in the Postmodern Era" held on April 22, 1996. Guterman reads an excerpt from the Preface of his book, Mastering the Art of Solution-Focused Counseling which chronicles the workshop. He then plays an audio excerpt from the workshop of Ellis's Hitler remark. Ellis's remark was in response to the following Yakima Nation proverb that was previously cited by Allen E. Ivey at the workshop: Progression from childhood to maturity is the work of the young. But it requires the guidance and support of the family and society. Education of each boy and girl is the gradual revelation of a culture. When thoughts and actions become one with culture, maturity is the result and respect is the reward. This is the transcript of Ellis's Hitler remark: The only thing I was puzzled about was Allen had a, up on the screen there, "When thoughts and actions become one with culture, maturity is the result and respect is the reward." Now the problem is, as Jeff said originally, it's our interpretations of these things. And one interpretation occurred to me immediately. Well, that's great. But then the other one is Hitlerism! Hitler was a culture and consequently... [interrupted by applause]. And you have to watch it! And I listened to all the speakers, including even Jeff, and my general conclusion is we all are ...

Wholesale abuse and discrimination and the worst bigotry directed toward any group in America today. More terrible than anything suffered by any minority in history." Pat Robertson 8. "I would warn Orlando that you're right in the way of some serious hurricanes, and I don't think I'd be waving those flags in God's face if I were you, This is not a message of hate -- this is a message of redemption. VHP condemns Rahul Gandhi's anti-Hindu remark in international arena Condemning Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi's alleged remark supposedly made to America's representative Mr. Timothy that Saffron Terror was more dangerous to Bharat than the Islamic Terror, VHP's International General Secretary has expressed serious doubts about the national integrity of the 'prince' Gandhi. Criticizing Mr. Rahul Gandhi for such a remark Dr Togadia said, "We were wondering as to how suddenly from Home Minister Chidambaram & to Ex CM Digvijay Singh & a group of office bearers of Congress party as well as a few Union Ministers have started to blame Hindus as Saffron Terrorists. But with Prince Gandhi's leak on WikiLeaks explains it all. All others who blamed Hindus as Saffron Terrorists have been doing so at the instance of Prince Gandhi who shamelessly expresses his hatred about Bharat's Hindus to an American representative! Gone are the days of relishing the family image of father opening Ram Mandir locks; this prince is not only anti Hindu but also is anti-Bharat. The ruling party's General Secretary, whom the sitting Finance Minister terms as next Prime Minister, has no respect to Bharat & Bharat's Hindu. He has no qualms even about defaming Bharat's Hindus to an official American representative! VHP condemns this most anti-Hindu & anti-Bharat behaviour of Congress General Secretary Mr. Gandhi & demands an unconditional apology from the Congress Party as well as their Prince Gandhi for humiliating, insinuating & degrading Bharat & Bharat's Hindu ...

However in the case of Rwanda, this has been no more than rhetoric. Rwandans, like most Africans, cheered Obama's election, hoping that it might signal a new, more peaceful and cooperative relationship between the US and Africa, but Obama has expanded AFRICOM, the US Africa Command, and now he remains silent as Rwanda's strongman, President Paul Kagame, prepares a sham presidential election to retain his brutal grip on power. We are calling on President Obama and the US State Department not to recognize the legitimacy of Rwanda's upcoming ...
