Taurus PT1911: "Benchmark Value" by Nutnfancy It is unrealistic to expect the Taurus PT1911 to have the same fit and finish and precision of a Kimber, Springfield, RRA, S&W, Ed Brown, Les Baer, Wilson Combat, Sig or other higher end 1911 pistol. But at its approx. $650 price point it is very hard to beat. In the POU of recreational range gun, home defense choice, or open carry weapon, it excels. You can expect excellent accuracy. The model shown, a PT1911 AL (aluminum frame) is capable of 2 groups at 25 yards, maybe even better. Extensive offhand shooting both at paper and steel plates, confirmed this remarkable practical accuracy, with about 1 groups being the norm at about 15 yards while standing. In this regard it competes well with most other 1911s. Reliability was spotty at first and we experienced failures to go into battery with American Eagle 230 gr FMJ loads (while Wolf ammo functioned perfectly at that time). These hang-ups disappeared after what I consider a needed break-in period. In its stock form, it cycled several loads with no problems, including JHPs. When outfitted with an Ed Brown Value Hammer and Sear and Smith & Alexander Series 80 Hi Grip Safety, problems arose: hammer follow occurred (shown) and re***ing during fire sequence failed. Restoration to the Taurus stock parts brough back reliability. Taurus lists many supposedly expensive custom features that are included in the gun and indeed there are many useful features that enhance accuracy, ergonomics, reliability, and looks. Excellent ...
Predictive Maintenance ensures reliability LCRA's utility operations are full of electronic and moving parts. Making sure all those parts stay in working order is the job of Predictive Maintenance crews. Heat-sensing cameras and vibration detectors are just of couple of the modern tools the crews use to ensure the power and water stay on. Sig Mosquito reliability testing - 99 out of 100 is no "F" grade In school, 99% was still an "A". I don't know what was wrong with the Sig Mosquito that a popular gun review magazine tested, but as you can see, this .22 long rifle pistol is pretty darn reliable. I had fired 40 rounds off camera, before the recording started. So when we get to 100 rounds fired, it is actually 140 rounds. The jam on the video is the only jam of the day. After this video, I continued to fire another 80 rounds without a single malfunction. Pretty good in my book.

Advent of the Reliable Auto Pistol Part 1 Nowadays, auto pistols are expected to be reliable, durable, accurate, and ergonomic. It's more the standard than the exception. And as such the semi-automatic pistol has gained widespread acceptance in military, law enforcement, and armed civilian (I'm all for it) communities. But this wasn't always the case. In fact gaining that trust and acceptance, pried from the purview of the revolver, was hard won and slow to arrive. For most, revolvers were THE firearm of choice for decades both in war and in peace. Sure there were some remarkable auto pistol designs that had successful military careers: the Colt 1911A1, the Browning High Power, the Walther P38, the Soviet Makarov, and a several other semi-automatic pistols. But each had its issues and none ever gained the momentum to overcome the entrenched resistance against auto designs. Most would only function with 100% reliability with FMJ loadings, some had complicated controls, all were heavy, some weren't accurate enough, and some had sights that were just plain awful. Bottom line is they just weren't widely trusted because they had been found to fail with expanding ammunition. And as such, the reliable and usually accurate revolver continued to dominate the US law enforcement scene on through the 1980s. The advent of the reliable H&K P7 started the revolution in thinking and it served well and began to wind advocates. But then things really changed with the US Army's adoption of the Beretta Model 92, one of the first ...

FPL's high-flying reliability upgrades Delivering industry-leading reliability takes commitment, investment, innovation and, sometimes, a helicopter full of elite, acrobatic linemen. In February 2010, FPL completed its replacement of insulators on on the Martin-Poinsett 500 kV transmission line, the culmination of two years of upgrades on the power line and a crucial milestone in its 15-year plan to upgrade its 500 kV infrastructure across Florida.

off leash reliability with reward training Reliable off leash behaviors using clicker training(reward training). We are using the premack principle- she gets to chase the birds for coming back to me, and as a result the recall is reinforced and the birds are no longer as exciting to her as before. I have no idea why people are still using punishment for these behaviors!!! We are still learning a lot, but clicker training is so exciting to me I just had to share.

How To Train A Dog To Sit W/ Distance! (Advanced) This is an advanced training tutorial that highlights just one of the MANY exercises that I use to develop off-leash reliability in a dog. It is a great exercise for any dog that is at an 'intermediate' level - meaning that they can SIT/STAY on-leash reliably in a variety of settings through mild distractions. Please note that although you will see me practice this off the leash near the end of the video, it is simply to demonstrate that with lots of practice, this exercise does have practical application. I do not recommend having your dog off the leash until you are 100% sure that they will Sit/Stay/Come from a distance or in a safe & enclosed area. The best approach is to practice consistently on a LONG line. For more information on how I teach 'come' & 'stay' - please watch my videos on those topics. The theory behind this method is based on the Premack principle of conditioning. I may make more tutorials on off-leash work. Let me know if this is something you want to see more of!
Sig Sauer P220 P220 TO HELL AND BACK RELIABILITY If I could afford it, all I would have would be Sig Sauer Pistols and Rifles; I just wish they made Shotguns too. Sigs are just kick-ass weapons; they are excellently crafted and tough firearms. I love my P220; it feels good in the hand and performs without brass catches or jams every time I pull the trigger. I've put about 1500 to 2000 rounds through it and it has never malfunctioned at all. All Sigs have Stainless Steel Slides and have a tough Nitron finish that resists all kinds of abuse. I baby my Sig though; she has never seen a bad day. My Sig is one of three .45ACP's I keep fully loaded and ready to go at a moments notice hidden throughout my home. If someone were to stalk around outside or foolishly attempt breaking into my home... I wouldn't have far to go to be armed and dangerous. Luckily for me I live in a state where "Use of Deadly Force" is permissible defending your property and personal safety within certain parameters. The Night Sights are such a huge difference in low light, they shine like little green stars with light produced under their own Radioactive Power. I highly suggest anyone who feels like a night time attack on your home or person is a possibility should get these. I would rather have Night Sights than some goofy laser. Lasers only give your position away and are pointless if you are trained to use your weapon. Shot placement comes from the shooter not some little red light, I realize it's a ...
