As we drove we saw several antelope out on the plains surrounding the highway. This is a new animal for us and we were quite enthralled, stopping several times to get a good pic. When we crossed the South Dakota border and neared Mt. Rushmore we pulled out our handy USA guide book just to see what it had to say about the surrounding area.
