"The William L. Britt Tribute: A Salute to an Ext... This is the true story of Will Britt, a gifted college student, athlete, son, and local Santa Cruz, California, hero, whose heroic actions helped capture some dangerous criminals. For protective measures Will transferred from UC Santa Cruz to UCLA, where he quickly acclimated into his new life, joining a fraternity and meeting many new friends. Less than 2 years later, in September 2004, Will's world turned upside down, when he was falsely accused of ***ual assault by a UCLA coed. Despite the fact that the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office refused to prosecute this false accusation, the UCLA Administrators continued to hold sham disciplinary hearings persecuting Will until it drove him to withdraw from school and return home to Sacramento, CA. Several months later, in April 2005, Will suffered a severe nervous breakdown from the continuing stress of persecution by UCLA Administrators, who stood in the way of his re-enrolling at UCLA to finish up his degree. Tragically, his dream would never be fulfilled because several days later, on April 28, 2005, Will was killed in a freak auto accident. Love Will Tear Us Apart- Episode 17 Hi. So you don't need to tell me how horrible I am. I know. It's just been kind of hectic, I've been re-enrolling at Uni and it was my birthday and my friends surprised me with a road trip. So I have been lacking in time a little. BUT, in less than a month I will be away for 6 weeks and I am going to try really hard to bring the series to a much better place before I do. I want it to progress a lot further before I have to put it on a hiatus for 6 weeks. Also, I am a mere one sub away from 1000 subscribers. I would think if I got that one sub then I might be inspired to finish writing the next few episodes and upload them in very quick succession. Anyway, its finally here. Amari Spievey - "They told me they were thrilled to have me," Spievey said, shortly after he got the phone call from the Lions at his home in Middletown, Conn. "And the reason why they didn't communicate with me or anything was because they didn't want other teams to know they were interested in me." The Lions were looking for help in the secondary in this draft, and Spievey's aggressive play clearly raised his stock in Allen Park. "He's physical, he's smart, he's tough," Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said. "I think he fits our defense. It's hard nowadays to find corners who are really solid tacklers, who are really physical players. And this guy plays the game that way. I think he'll fit into our defense really well. He'll come in, I think, from Day 1 and be a good player on special teams and compete for a chance to get a lot of playing time." Spievey's college career at Iowa got off to a rocky start, getting dismissed from the football team for academic reasons. He spent a year at a community college, before re-enrolling at Iowa in 2008. "I came in unprepared mentally, and I wasn't really ready," said Spievey, who turned 22 last week. "That was my first time being away from home. They switched me to defense. I didn't really want to play defense. I'd played running back all my life. And I had a staph infection. So I started off on the wrong foot. Dr. Blumenthal HIMSS Annual Conference Keynote Dr. David Blumenthal, National Coordinator of Health Information Technology for the US Department of Health and Human Services, delivers a keynote speech at the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society Annual Conference 2011 (HIMSS'11) on the progress made in health information technology (health IT) adoption efforts. Dr. Blumenthal delivers a positive message on the progress of health IT stating, "Meaningful use is no longer a hope or a theory -- it is a working, operating program -- as reality." In his keynote address, Dr. Blumenthal also provides progress on the electronic health record (EHR) incentive programs, regional extension centers (RECs), health IT training programs, and electronic health record systems (EHR modules). The main topics of Dr. Blumenthal's keynote include the incentive programs, the national infrastructure designed to support the adoption of EHRs, and patient health information (PHI).
