'Teeter Totter' 'Seesaw' - Clone Effect In the United States a seesaw is also called a "teeter-totter". However, most commonly a "teeter-totter" is a two-person swing on a swing set, on which two children sit facing each other and the teeter-totter swings back and forth in a pendulum motion. This term originates from the Norfolk language word tittermatorter. Both teeter-totter (from teeter, as in to teeter on the edge) and seesaw (from the verb saw) demonstrate the linguistic process called reduplication, where a word or syllable is doubled, often with a different vowel. Reduplication is typical of words that indicate repeated activity, such as riding up and down on a seesaw. Anselm Kiefer's Airplane (Sugar) after Elaine Sturtevant Anselm Kiefer's Airplane after Elaine Sturtevant's "Kiefer Voyage Au Bout De La Nuit", 1992 It looks like Elaine Sturtevant build Anselm Kiefer's lead airplane as an exact copy - but she pointed out, that it isn't neither a copy nor a reconstruction, but better explained with a recreation or new creation. I used sugar to recreate Elaine Sturtevant's Anselm Kiefer's lead airplane, as I keep it in my memory from an exhibition at the MMK Museum für Moderne Kunst, Frankfurt, at the 25th of September 2004. I was so impressed and had to think about it from time to time, that I now took one step further and created Sturtevant's airplane (made by Kiefer as one of seven) with lumps of sugar. Baudrillard's Hyperrealism "Baudrillard argues that the space that reality once occupied has now been flooded with "meticulous reduplication" 1 to the point that the line between the real and the representation has become blurred or all but lost. He calls this hyperrealism and notes that it is an evolution from surrealism. In surrealism, realism is "redoubled" with elements of the subconscious imaginary. Surrealism sought to expose the blocked reality of dreams. It mixed realism with fantasy and the unreal. Now that unreality is no longer found in the imagery manifest in dreams, but in the representation of the real because the representation has a sort of déjà vu dream-like nature. Baudrillard also says that surrealism is limited to expressing itself in "privileged moments," such as art and ...

Can Spanish People Understand This Song???... CHAVACANO LANGUAGE!!! Chavacano (as a proper noun and a derivative of the Spanish adjective "chabacano" and as it is generally accepted in literature, the broadcast media, and Zamboangueños) or Chabacano (from the Spanish adjective) is a creole language or more precisely, the common name for the several varieties of the Philippine Creole Spanish spoken in the Philippines. The word chabacano—which the name Chavacano is derived from—is Spanish for "poor taste," "vulgar," "common," "tasteless," "tacky," or "coarse". The Chavacano language is the only Spanish-based creole in Asia. It has survived for more than 400 years, thus making it one of the oldest creole languages in the world. It is the only language to have developed in the Philippines (a member of Philippine languages) which does not belong to the family of Austronesian languages although it shows a characteristic common to the Malayo-Polynesian languages, the reduplication. Chavacano speakers are concentrated mostly in Zamboanga City and in the island province of Basilan. It is also spoken in some areas of the provinces of Zamboanga del Sur, Zamboanga Sibugay, Zamboanga del Norte, Cavite City, Ternate, Davao, and Cotabato. According to the official 2000 Philippine census, there were altogether 607200 Chavacano speakers in the Philippines in that same year. The exact figure could be higher as the 2000 population of Zamboanga City, whose main language is Chavacano, far exceeded that census figure. Also, the figure ...

Perimembranous ventricular Septal Defect with Severe Tricuspid Regurgitation Discussion: Mechanisms of tricuspid regurgitation in patient with perimembranous VSD: 1) Tricuspid valves clefts or dysplasia. 2) VSD jet pushing the tricuspid anterior leaflet to open tricuspid valves orifice. Mechanisms of spontaneous closure of membranous VSD: The tricuspid valve was responsible for most common mechanism of closure(85%) by either reduplication of leaflet tissue or adherence of septal leaflet to the margins of defect. Membranous VSD diminish in size or close spontaneously by aneurysm formation. So-call ventricular septal aneurysm is not a true aneurysm of the septaum membranaceum but rather a tissue out pouching from the tricuspid valve. Refrences: 1) A. Blood Diamonds In linguistic terms, "bling" is an ideophone (a sound intended to evoke an idea)—it is not onomatopoeia, because the act of jewelry shining does not make a sound. The form "bling-bling" is a case of reduplication. Coinage of the term "bling", which came into use in the late 1990s, is often attributed to rap artists BG and Cash Money Millionaires.[1] It was used in a song title by Cash Money Records rapper BG, and in 1998 by fellow Cash Money artist Lil Wayne on the track "Millionaire Dream" ("I got ten around my neck, and baguettes on my wrist, Bling!"), which appeared on the Big Tymers album How Ya Luv That. "Bling Bling", a track from the 1999 BG album Chopper City in the Ghetto, further popularized the term.
