Hagen Quartet - Maurice Ravel - String Quartet in F - Assez vif, Très rythmé (2/4) The second movement of 28 year-old Ravel's Quatuor à Cordes. He is said to have been meticulous in his writing, and, finally, a group of musicians have matched his efforts in terms of attention. This is, in my opinion, the best performance and recording of this piece. The second movement is possibly the most known, as audiences remember the pizzicato opening; its usage in media, such as for the film "The Royal Tenenbaums" (W. Anderson) and as trailer music for films such as "Be Kind Rewind" (M. Gondry) also furthers its memorability. Assez vif introduces two new melodies; a rhythmic melody and a contrasting "sung" melody, which is both graceful and heroic. It is as though these are character motifs. Legend of Zelda Medley in String Quartet Form Arranged by Chad Schwartz: See the updated version of this medley here! "JMU grad finds YouTube fame with Zelda medley" For my Senior Cello Recital at James Madison University in March 2006, I decided that my recital needed something extra. This is the encore of my recital. If you can name all of the zelda themes used in this medley, you are as cool as me. Enjoy! for those wondering how i got the sheet music. i listened to the hyrule symphony mp3 and figured out all the parts from that and put it in finale. i then added two sections (dungeon from link 2 and zeldas lullaby) and changed around some other stuff (like adding the full version of the original). ***1000000 views! WOW!!!*** Thanks everyone! Make sure to check out video games concert performed in 11/08: Legend of Zelda Medley Final Fantasy Medley (Pt 1 Pt 2 ) Mario Bros. Medley ( ) Encore: 'Never Forget' Theme from Halo ( ) **side note** I realize it's not completely in tune, we put it together at the last second... I actually didn't decide I was going to do it until the day of my recital.... although I must say, if I knew it was going to be this popular on youtube, I would've spent a lot more time practicing/rehearsing it.
