Prevailing Hero (Epic Symphonic Music) Please listen to the updated version! A piece I wrote to convey controlled power. The lower pitched rhythm and sound speaks of power while the soft and calm boy's voice portrays the control of it. As I was writing this, I pictured the "hero" after the battle. Wounded and bleeding he lays on the ground. The tremolo violins give away the onlooking crowd's anxiety of if he's alive. Then he slowly rises, and proceeds to walk past the people. With power and purpose in his eyes, he traverses into the depths of destiny with revelation and awakening. Corny I know, but I am a lover of epic scores. Thoughts are welcome! Prevailing Prayer part 2 Jentezen Franklin

What is Truth and what is God? You don't really want an answer to that question. "If I take a lamp, and shine it toward the wall, a bright spot will appear on the wall. The lamp, is our search for truth, for understanding. Too often we assume that the light on the wall is God. But the light is not the goal of the search, it is the result of the search. The more intense the search, the brighter the light on the wall. The brighter the light on the wall, the greater the sense of revelation upon seeing it. Similarly, someone who does not search, who does not bring a lantern with him... sees nothing. What we perceive as God is the byproduct of our search for God. It may simply be in appreciation of the light, pure and unblemished, not understanding that it comes from us. Sometimes we stand in front of the light, and assume that we are the centre of the universe. God looks astonishingly like we do. Or we turn to look at our shadow, and see that all is darkness. If we allow ourselves to get in the way we defeat the purpose, which is to use the light of our search to illuminate the wall in all it's beauty, and in all it's flaws, and in so doing better understand the world around us."

Keating lays waste to Howard & Costello Paul Keating demolishes the prevailing myth in the Australian consciousness that John Howard & Peter Costello were economic virtuosos. Regrettably they were able to spin and get away with it due to a timid and impotent Labor party after Keating's departure.

Insights - Out of Character: The Hidden Forces That Change Who We Are Character. We want it in our leaders, we seek it in our spouses and friends, we try to teach it to our children. The prevailing view is that it comes from hard work and due diligence. It's cultivated; it's stable. But if character is so stable, then why do we so often disagree over who's got it and who doesn't? Professor David DeSteno shows how science has turned prevailing wisdom upside down by revealing that character, vice, and virtue are predominantly shaped by forces outside of our awareness.

Röyksopp │Remind Me Remind me It's only been a week, The rush of being home in rapid fading. Prevailing to recall What I was missing, all that time in England Has sent me aimlessly, On foot or by the help of transportation, To knock on windows where A friend no longer live, I had forgotten. (chorus) And everywhere I go, There's always something to remind me Of another place and time Where love that travelled far had found me. We stayed outside til two, Waiting for the light to come back, But hid in talk I knew, Until you asked what I was thinking. (chorus) Brave men tell the truth, A wise man's tools are ***ogies and puzzles, A woman holds her tongue, Knowing silence will speak for her. So now I'll never know, As you will only sleep beside me, And everywhere I go... (chorus) (repeat) It's only been a week, (Will remind, will remind, will remind me,) The rush of being home in rapid fading. (Will remind, will remind, will remind me,) Prevailing to recall (Will remind, will remind, will remind me,) What I was missing all that time in England (Will remind, will remind, will remind me.) Atomic Bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki 1945 Credit: Trinity and Beyond: The Atomic Bomb Movie (1995) by Peter Kuran The Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki involved a nuclear attack on the Japanese city of Hiroshima by the United States of America on August 6, 1945 with the nuclear weapon "Little Boy," followed three days later by the detonation of the "Fat Man" bomb over Nagasaki during World War II against the Empire of Japan, part of the opposing Axis Powers alliance. In estimating the death toll from the attacks, there are several factors that make it difficult to arrive at reliable figures: inadequacies in the records given the confusion of the times, the many victims who died months or years after the bombing as a result of radiation exposure, and the pressure to either exaggerate or minimize the numbers, depending upon political agenda. That said, it is estimated that as many as 140000 had died in Hiroshima by the bomb and its associated effects, with the estimate for Nagasaki roughly 74000. In both cities, the overwhelming majority of the deaths were those of civilians. The role of the bombings in Japan's surrender, as well as the effects and justification of them, have been subject to much debate. In the US, the prevailing view is that the bombings ended the war months sooner than would otherwise have been the case, saving many lives that would have been lost on both sides if the planned invasion of Japan had taken place.[5] In much of the rest of the world, the prevailing view is that the bombings ...
