Cell Biology: Structure of the Cell: Cellular Functions - Thiseducational biology video will assist biology students to study and learn about Golgi Bodies and their function, the osmotic balance, phagocytosis and pinocytosis. All of Zane Education's educational video lessons provide subtitles giving your child the option to watch, listen to, or read each presentation making them excellent learning tool for all manner of special Needs children, students with visual and hearing impairments, dyslexia and reading difficulties, learning difficulties and autism. They enable gifted children and all students to learn at their own speed and will help improve each child's overall reading skills. They are used in schools and by homeschool students everywhere.
Infectious Diseases and Cell Biology Unit found at www. science powerpoint .com This is avideo sample of a Powerpoint presentation that can be found at which is one part of a teaching unit for students in grades 5-10. Each second represents one slide on the actual Powerpoint Presentation. The Infectious Diseases and Cellular Biology Unit covers science topics associated with Infectious Diseases and Cellular Biology. Infectious Diseases deals heavily with viruses and bacteria. This unit includes an interactive and engaging Powerpoint Presentation of 871 slides with built in class notes (Red Slides), lab activities, project ideas, discussion questions, assessments (Quiz Wiz), and challenge questions with answers. Text is in large print (32 font) and is placed at the top of each slide so it can seen and read from all angles of a classroom. Also included is a 13 page assessment called THE INFECTIOUS BIOFE that chronologically goes with the slideshow for nightly homework and the end of the unit assessment, as well as a 7 page modified assessment. 19 pages of class notes with images are also included for students who require modifications, as well as answer keys to both of the assessments for support professionals, teachers, and homeschool parents. 22 video shorts (FLV files) are provided and a slide within the slideshow cues teacher / parent when the videos are most relevant to play. Video shorts usually range from 2-7 minutes and are included in organized folders. Two Powerpoint Jeopardy games are included. Answers to the ...

Ari Helenius (ETH Zurich) Part 2 Endocytosis and Penetration In the second lecture, the next steps in viral infection are described. Endocytosis of plasma membrane bound viruses can occur via a number of mechanisms including caveolar, clathrin, non-clathrin, or lipid raft mediated pathways. The internalized virus is enclosed in an endosome that may undergo increasing acidification resulting in acid mediated fusion between the viral envelope and the vesicle membrane. Following membrane penetration, the virus, once again, makes use of cellular machinery such as microtubules and their motors, to transfer its genome to the nucleus. Helenius describes experiments from his lab and others that have deciphered these complex processes. See more at
