Bicep Workout - "The Peak Seeker" Here we have my favourite bicep workout, performed correctly, it is very challenging, fast and also highly effective. Whenever anybody is asked to 'flex' the immediate reaction is to expose that tennis ball you have hiding under your sleeve, it's the most popular individual muscle to train on the body and also the least understood. When educating my clients about this muscle I will always put it into perspective. Believe it or not the bicep is actually made up of two heads, hence the "bi", one being the biceps brachii inner head and biceps brachii outer head. It is also adjoined with the triceps, which are actually over double its size! The biceps are a pleasure to train, and when trained correctly will respond with eye catching results within a very short amount of time. Number one rule when training this muscle group is "isolation". Far too often you will see people attempting to train their "guns" without actually realising they are recruiting many other surrounding muscles like the forearms, triceps, deltoids and even their lats! This workout is broken down into 3 exercises, performed immediately after each other for 3-6 sets in total. The three exercises include: 1. Standing (pre-exhaustion) dumbbell curls THEN 2. Incline (isolation) dumbbell preachers THEN 3. Seated (contraction) barbell curls 2 MINUTES REST THEN REPEAT ABOVE FOR 3-6 SETS Anybody can experience the benefits of gaining muscle, and it doesn't take 2-3 hours in a gym every day ...

The Future of Oil: Peak Prices, Peak Production, Piqued Consumers The Future of Oil: Peak Prices, Peak Production, Piqued Consumers - Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming - 2008-06-11 - WASHINGTON (June 9, 2008) - As prices at the pump reach record levels on a daily basis, many consumers and ***ysts are asking the same questions: How bad could prices get? And what policies are needed to address America's oil crisis? On Wednesday, June 11, Chairman Edward J. Markey (D-Mass.) and the Select Committee on Energy Independence and Global Warming will examine the long term prognosis for oil's global supply and demand, and what solutions could be implemented to reduce demand and decrease prices. A barrel of oil reached a new record price on Friday, and many ***ysts are saying 00 oil is a potentially imminent threat. Yet our own government energy ***ysts are saying oil could slide back to 0 a barrel, and supplies could increase, even as the private sector disagrees. The Select Committee will discuss this disconnect, as well as the global warming concerns of non-traditional oil retrieval methods like oil shale and oil sands. Light Peak to Connect Consumer Devices at Record Speed At IDF09 Intel demonstrated a high-speed optical cable technology available next year that will connect mainstream electronic devices like laptops, HD displays, televisions, cameras, video players, iPods, docking stations and Solid State Drives (SSDs) to each other using optical fiber, rather than copper wires. Developed by Intel and codenamed Light Peak, this proposed technology paves the way for a new generation of extreme computer input and output (I/O) performance, delivering 10Gb/s of bandwidth, with the potential ability to scale to 100Gbs over the next decade. At 10Gb/s, a user could transfer a full-length Blu-Ray* movie in less than 30 seconds. The company intends to work with the industry to determine the best way to make this new technology a standard.

Peak Oil - 45min. documentary See full film here: vod.journeyman.tv September 2006 Is the age of cheap oil about to come to an end? According to many experts, we are about to reach the point of "peak oil" -- the level at which supply can no longer keep up with demand. This, say the doomsayers, could send economies spinning into turmoil and up-end our comfortable, urban lifestyles. But others claim predictions like this are simply scaremongering. They believe supply will match demand for decades to come. So who's telling the truth? 'Peak Oil' investigates. Produced by ABC Australia Distributed by Journeyman Pictures

Crash Course: Chapter 17a - Peak Oil by Chris Martenson Chapter 17a - Peak Oil: Energy is the lifeblood of any economy and a steady supply of energy is necessary to maintain the status quo, while an ever-increasing supply is needed to grow an economy. In this chapter, Dr. Chris Martenson explains that Peak Oil is not a theory, rather it is a description of how oil production increases over time, reaches a peak, then declines. Evidence points to a global production peak in the near future, which is troubling since the US imports two-thirds of its oil and relies on it to much of its transportation and food production needs.

Rhys Millen's Pikes Peak World Record Attempt On June 27, 2010, Rhys Millen attempted to beat the current "Unlimited Class" World Record of 10:01.408 at the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb, the "Race to the Clouds." For 10 years, it has been Rhys' dream to break the 10-minute barrier and this year he hoped to capture the elusive record and return it to the Millen name. This is look at his run and the challenges he faced in his custom built Genesis PM580: a 1850 pound, 750 horse power V6 designed specifically to conquer the 156 turns of this 12.52 mile course (of which this year, half is pavement) that begins at 9390 feet and finishes at the 14110 foot summit. Climb - Pikes Peak Hill Climb with a Monster Ride on the bumper of a screaming 910hp, Twin-Turbo, All-wheel Drive, 150 mph Suzuki SX4 as it races up one of the world's most dangerous hills. An attempt by the "Monster" to break his own record of 10:01:41... COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 29, 2010) -- For the fifth consecutive time, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima combined experience, skill and Falken Tires to claim overall victory in the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Although he did not set a new Pikes Peak record, one day before his 60th birthday, Tajima continues to hold the current overall record for reaching the peak, beating hill climb veterans Paul Dallenbach and Rhys Millen in the Unlimited Class. He drove his new 910-hp Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 Hill Climb Special on Falken WildPeak A/T tires, the powerful new line of all-terrain, all-season tires Falken launched this past April. Following exhaustive tests in a Japanese wind tunnel facility, Monster's 2010 Pikes Peak race car underwent extensive aerodynamic changes to better adapt to the modified road surface on the race to the clouds, which assumed a smoother tarmac and less gravel than last year. Thinning air ascending the mountain robs most motors of their power by 30 or more percent, but the increase in horsepower over last year's race car helped push the driver forward.

Peak Oil debunked This video exposes the eco-socialist Gaia conspiracy to rob hard working Americans of God-given V-8 power and tax them into the poorhouse. Combined with the Global Warming hoax, this will bring our ravenous economy to a halt by 2020. Don't believe the Marxist geologists with their sky-is-falling doomsayerism. And T. Boone Pickens is just an old timer who sees himself as a billionaire prophet. Some oilmen forget their humble roots. Technology has made oil easier to find every year and high prices are not due to extraction costs. They are the result of Green Hollywood propaganda attached to hidden tax code amendments after the recent Democratic takeover. [Video concept and presentation created solely by narrator. Equipment, description and title provided by T87 Technology in association with Milroot Charities.]

Hayek vs. Keynes Sequel Sneak Peek at The Economist Buttonwood Gathering On October 25th, an audience of financial managers and CEOs, politicians, central bankers and nobel prize winning economists at The Economist Magazine's Buttonwood Gathering were treated to an unusual experience: a live rap battle between John Maynard Keynes and FA Hayek. Following a presentation by Nassim Taleb, the lights went down in the auditorium and Fear the Boom and Bust blasted onto the screen. This video picks up at the end of that special presentation, where Keynes and Hayek stepped onto the stage to give a preview of the next EconStories music video. In the final new video, which will be completed in the months ahead, expect many more lyrics and an all new beat. Lastly, Russ Roberts and John Papola took the stage with John Micklethwait, editor-in-chief of The Economist for a brief Q&A about the origins of FTBB and the resurgence of Hayek in the global debate over the economy. How To Use A Peak Flow Meter A Peak Flow Meter is a measuring device which enables airflow to be assessed in the lungs. It is particularly useful for monitoring asthma and can form part of a self-management plan. There are a number of different types of Peak Flow Meter but they all work on the same principle. In this episode we show how to correctly use one type of Peak Flow Meter. Asthma is a common condition that can cause variable and intermittent symptoms such as cough, wheezing and breathlessness. A Peak Flow Meter can also provide essential information into the severity of acute asthma attacks. The meters are easy to use and available on prescription in the UK. The readings from a Peak Flow Meter are generally unreliable in children under the age of six or seven. Do not obstruct the cursor with your hand. Do not obstruct the mouthpiece with your tongue. Stand or sit up straight. Check the cursor is set to zero. Take a deep breath in and seal you lips around the mouthpiece. Blow out suddenly and hard. Check the cursor reading. Repeat twice more using the best reading of the three attempts. The meter records the speed of the blow and is measured in litres per minute. Everyone has a predicted reading depending on age and height. It is important that you know your own best reading. This information is helpful for your doctor as well as for you and your own self-management plan. Builth and Llanwrtyd Medical Practice has made every effort to ensure that the information in these episodes is accurate ...

Dante's Peak movie trailer HQ Dante's Peak movie trailer 1997 film preview DVD This is one of my best movies The first of 1997's volcano disaster movies (the second being Volcano) both of them made for passable entertainment with some spectacular special effects to serve as icing on the stale cake. After all, Dante's Peak doesn't pretend to be anything more than an updated variation on a whole catalog of disaster movie clichés. Despite all that, it's reasonably enjoyable. It's an added bonus that the script is just smart enough to allow Pierce Brosnan and Linda Hamilton to play their roles with straight faces, never condescending to the audience of the formulaic story. He's a volcano expert from the US Geological Survey, and she's the mayor of a cozy Washington State town perched beneath a volcano that's about to blow. Telltale signs are everywhere, so evacuation must be carried out immediately. Of course, not everybody's eager to leave, and even some of Brosnan's colleagues think his alarm is premature. This sets the stage for massive ash clouds, rivers of raging mud and molten rock, flattened forests, and death-defying escapes by Brosnan, Hamilton, and some (but not all) of her family, friends, and townsfolk. So what if it's all pretty flaky... and can a four-wheel-drive vehicle travel over fire and molten lava without bursting its tires? Don't ask too many questions, and you'll find Dante's Peak to be (if you'll pardon the pun) a total blast.
