Bad Religion ~ Pride and the Pallor Pride and the Pallor Papa had a wife and kids he kept them on a leash and he bid them all to do his every deed. When he was a kid he was treated just the same so he hid his feelings from the family. Lost as an island out at sea, resistant to the gentle waves of empathy. Papa and his family always on parade. Tearing through the turnstiles, a weekender's charade. But time will tell, as their world crumbles to hell. What they created was a family story no one will tell. It's a photo album too terrible. But the pride and the pallor continue to swell. And the matron silently prays. Junior resented the tradition they upheld and it ate him up inside most every day. Silence was golden and they kept him to his word. So bewildered when he finally ran away. Oh, obligations never cease. Oblivious of the ways to give his soul some peace. Yeah, Papa and his family always on parade. Passing through the turnstiles, a weekender's charade. But time will tell, as their world crumbles to hell. What they created was a family story no one will tell. It's a photo album too terrible. But the pride and the pallor continue to swell. And the matron silently prays. "Get me out of here, someone's got to save the day." The children are reminded to do it for the daddy's sake. And happiness is ever so far, far away. Yeah, lost as an island out at sea. Resistant to the gentle waves of empathy. Papa and his family always on parade. Tearing through the turnstiles, a weekender's charade. It's just a sick ...

Praise Of Folly - Delicate Pallor Praise Of Folly - Praise Of Folly K7 Ltd Edit. (St. Thomas Productions, 1994) support thist artist: Praise of Folly was formed in 1990 by Brady Ray Renick (guitar/vocals), Ryan Thompson (drums/vocals), and Thomas McFarlan (bass/lead vocals). They began composing music under the band name Divination. After disputes over the band name, Brady came up with In Praise of Folly after reading excerpts from the book written by Erasmus Desiderius. The same year of their formation, In Praise of Folly played at the Roxy in Los Angeles. The band later dropped the In from their name. From the existing discography, the songs In My Eyes, Delicate Pallor, The Hanged Man, He Stands Cross Armed, Mortal Wound, and Evelyn Widow were composed by the original lineup (Brady, Ryan, & Thomas). Not to be misconstrued as the only songs ever composed by the original lineup. Evelyn Widow was revamped by the latter lineup. The studio versions of the songs feature Mike Naz on guitar, except for Mortal Wound. In 1992, Mike Naz was invited to play guitar and Brady switched to playing bass. This new lineup composed The Envisioned during their first practice. By 1993, Brady had left the band and chose Mike Naz as his replacement on guitar. In 1994, Ryan left the band and Drew joined as keyboardist and drum programmer. The new lineup continued to compose and record new material and toured as far as Mexico City. Individual members of Praise of Folly decided to pursue other musical endeavors ...

Pallor Of Ash / Curse of the Mary Celeste In 1872 a brigantine ship was discovered drifting alone in the North Atlantic without her crew. There was no sign of struggle or abandon aboard the ship. Valuable items a crew would never leave aboard were still on the ship. The only sign of life aboard the Mary Celeste was the impression of a small child pressed into the blankets on a bed inside the Captains quarters. What happened aboard the Mary Celeste has remained a mystery for more than 130 years. Her life story, history and saga will haunt maritime folklore for eternity. She was salvaged and eventually re-named but the Mary Celeste brought nothing but disaster upon every living human who placed their love and trust onto her. She will go down in history known as the seas first "Ghost Ship".

M. Callas & T. Gobbi - Il pallor funesto, orrendo...Soffriva nel pianto (Lucia di Lammermoor, Act 2) This duetto is quite interesting, it really shows the role of Lucia wasn't written for a canary but really for a full lyric soprano (with perfect coloratura technique as was demanded of EVERY singer in the first half of the 19th century). The tessitura for Lucia is ALL middle voice now after the high fiorature in act 1 and the even higher fiorature in the mad scene later on. This scene doesn't go above a G on top fo the staff for most of it (only touching an A above the staff on a fast cadenza, and that's it) and it goes to the D just above middle C several times, as well as the E at the bottom of the staff used for dramatic purpose. Certainly a high light coloratura soprano would be uncomfortable, even large/rich voiced coloratura sopranos such as Joan Sutherland struggled with the so-middle-voice tessitura in this scene (Joan sang it transposed up by a whole step, and all the low E's sung dramatically were sung as F#'s up an octave). And after all that wonderful middle voice singing, Maria crowns the scene with a fantastic resonant and easy top D.

Pallor Mortis This is my first animation ever and I am piecing together ideas while gathering experience. It will be a minute long once I am done. It is going to take alot longer than I thought. I've had writers block for awhile because everything sounds the same to me now, the only thing I can do is write about it. So here it is.
