Recommended shoes: Converse and Nikes. Forward-V: Start off by learning the V. Move one foot forward. Start off by an "outward-v." then, step forward with the back foot and then go from "outward" to the "inward-v." As you land in the inward-v, do the v-step motion to face it outwards. Wiggle Walk Forward: You want to always stay on your toes . You go on your toe, and switch the front foot's position to left or right depending on foot. You move the back foot forward, and as it lands, both feet "wiggle" aka move in the "wiggle walk" motion on your toes. Watch the video for a visual. Wiggle Walk Backwards: Start off in the same position, move your back foot forward and do the same motion as Wiggle Walk Forward. But instead of moving your back foot forward, you move your front foot backwards. Basically the same exact thing as Wiggle Walk Forward, but opposite foot and direction. It is recommended to ...

UFO Sucking Energy From The Sun? An orbiting Nasa space telescope captured a dark, planet-sized object flying close to the sun on Monday - and extending what looks like a refueling tube into the star's surface. Instead, it's a solar 'prominence' or 'filament' - a feature extending out from the sun which forms over the course of a day, and can extend hundreds of thousands of miles into space. Scientists are still puzzled as to why these features form. The 'dark' parts are material cooler than the surrounding solar matter. C. Waves Introduction - Wave Motion is the method of energy transfer from one point to another without bulk transfer of matter. What this means is that in wave motion energy is transferred from one point to another but matter does not move from one point to another. One example of wave motion is the motion of sound waves when we speak. The sound energy is transferred from our mouth to the ear of the listener but the air particles which transmit the sound do not move from our mouth to the ear. Only the energy moves as the air particles vibrate. Another example of wave motion is the creation of a ripples in a pond when a stone is dropped in it. Water does not travel from the center of the ripple-circles to the periphery radially. Only the energy imparted by the pebble to the water travels radially outwards. So if we place a leaf in the water, it will not move radially outwards with the ripples. It will simply bob up and down because the water particles only vibrate, they don't move radially. There are 2 types of waves: (i) Non-mechanical Waves These waves are also known as electro-magnetic waves. These do not need material medium to travel through. This means that energy can be transferred from one point to another without there being any particles in between. Sound waves are not electromagnetic waves because they require air/water/steel etc particles to travel. Electromagnetic waves can travel through space. Light waves, radio waves and infra-red waves are examples of electro-magnetic waves. We ...

Beatbox tutorial - Clown horn I LOVE this sound - I finally mastered it about a week ago and I haven't stopped parping since. It's awesome! I genuinely hope you enjoy it as much as I do. How to make the sound 1 - Learn the siren, inwards and outwards 2 - Do the siren outwards, then inwards at a higher pitch 3 - Do this quickly and adjust the higher pitch until you're satisfied with it Part 3 is the tricky bit - just practice and you'll get it eventually. Also I'd like to take this opportunity to say I really do not like the new YouTube channels - if anybody from YouTube happens to read this, PLEASE, I BEG OF YOU, make it so we can revert to the old style if we want to. EXPLOSIVE 9 Min Home Workout How I lost my belly fat...FINALLY: Welcome to Insane Home Fat Loss! I'm pumped for this new channel where we're going to be bringing you two new killer bodyweight workouts every week. You'll be able to start doing the workouts right away with no equipment -- and they're a great way to burn fat and tone up in just a few minutes a day. And to kick it off, here's a simple yet challenging bodyweight workout you can start off with... Here's how to do the exercises: LEG RAISE PUSHUPS -- Raise one leg in the air and do a pushup as normal. This makes it a lot more challenging, and works more muscle groups than the standard pushup. AIR JACKS -- Just like a jumping jack, except your feet don't touch the ground on the outside. Flare your arms and legs outwards just like a jumping jack, and bring them back together before you touch the ground. BODYWEIGHT SQUATS: Put your weight on your heels, and bend at your knees keeping your back straight and sticking your butt outwards. Bend to 90 degrees and come back up if you're a beginner -- if you're advanced you can challenge yourself by going a little deeper (but make sure to stay safe!) JUMPING KNEE TUCKS: Jump in the air as high as you can, and tuck your knees into your chest. Simple, yet brutal ;) HOW TO PUT IT TOGETHER: Do each exercise for 30 seconds and take 15 seconds rest, then do it again. I use a Gymboss timer to time my sets, use this or something similar to ensure you aren't tempted to take extra rest time ...

Guggenheim Museum May 15 - August 23, 2009 "If you think about the basic elements of Wright's work," says David van der Leer, Assistant Curator of Architecture and Design, "then you start to realize Wright is really a contemporary architect and he was always ahead of his time." MINI Rocketman concept - door configuration MINI has unveiled the Rocketman concept which draws inspiration from the original 1959 Mini. The doors have been given special attention as they are double-hinged and "pivot outwards complete with their sills." Additionally, the two-piece tailgate has a lower rear section that opens outwards like a kitchen drawer. This unique feature allows the drawer to remain in the extend position so the Rocketman can accommodate four passengers and their luggage. High-res photos:

How to fold an origami cherry blossom flower napkin Here are some instructions on how to fold an origami cherry blossom napkin that makes a lovely addition to any spring table. Hanami (flower viewing) is the lovely Japanese tradition of picnicking under the beautiful cherry blossoms (or Sakura as they say in Japanese). 1. Lay your napkin flat and fold each corner into the centre. 2. Then, with the same side up, fold the corners into the centre again. 3. This time turning the napkin over, fold the corners into the centre once again. 4. Here's the fiddly bit! Holding the napkin together in the centre with thumb top and forefinger bottom, gently pull the four corners that have been folded into the centre underneath, outwards and turn them upwards to form a petal. 5. Then from the underneath again pull the next four corners from the centre outwards to form a smaller petal in between. 6. Add a few yellow sweets to the centre of each napkin to keep the blossom flower secure.

Beatbox tutorial - Siren (Method 1) More people ask for a tutorial of this sound than any other. I don't even know why - there isn't much you can even do with it. Sounds cool though. Apologies for the amp use - I wasn't expecting it to overload the camera's mic as much as it did. Still conveys the message though, that's the important thing. To make the sound 1 - Position your lips as if you were about to say "rr" 2 - Hum through your mouth and your nose Rahzel-style - that is, at the SAME TIME 3 - Do steps 1 and 2 together outwards, then inwards, then anyway you want 4 - Go out then in sharply to get the clown horn 5 - Use the throat tap for a cool effect Described as "[one] of the finest exponents of the hip-hop discipline" by YouTube's music blog, Fat Tony's tutorial series is THE definitive guide to learning how to beatbox. Super Mario Galaxy 2: Time for Adventure Super Mario Galaxy 2: World 6 - Clockwork Ruins Galaxy - Time for Adventure (with live commentary) In this video we head to Clockwork Ruins Galaxy for the first star there. This video is a replay of the original mission which was my 88th Star. The first area has gears you that can be crossed with careful jumping. Ride the final gear up to the launch star to head to the next area. There you'll have to stand in the darker colored spots when the wall pushes outwards. Make your way to the right and then hop onto the top of the moving wall when it pushes outward. Cross back to the left and hit the green switch on the wall to change the gravity. Head back to where you first started this area and hit the button to free the trapped Luma who will create a launch star to the final area. Run up the slope using the small wedges to avoid getting crushed. When you get toward the top of the slope, jump into one of the small wedges and let it carry you to the top and then jump up to grab the Comet Medal. Wall jump your way through the next few areas and take the elevator to the final stretch. To get to the Power Star you'll need to ride the top of the rolling cylinders using the same method you did for the Comet Medal. Finally swing on the poles and jump to grab your Power Star! Overhand Blind Shuffle (Top Stock) This is a blind overhand shuffle controlling the top stock whilst the rest of the deck is shuffled. The modified method is based on Erdnase's "To Retain Top Stock and Shuffle Whole Deck" found in the Blind Shuffle area of the book. My method is instead of injogging the first card to jog a slug of card, shuffle off, pick up holding break at jog then shuffle off to break. I usually jog to first slug to the right but on occassion to fool a knowing audience I will just shuffle regularly allowing the cards to naturally jog outwards (towards the audience) which can be seen at 1:15-1:20. I did it quite sloppy in the video but when the cards are jogged outward I am able to seemingly completely square up the deck before I even get my break. It has been commented that my break is extremely small. Perhaps this was because I learned it from the Bible-size edition of Erdnase. But seriously my break was much larger long ago when I started. To the point where I was being caught out. I worked to find ways to keep the break as small as possible while not risking losing it. A great help for me presented itself in the special features of the movie "Shade". It is a clip of R. Paul Wilson teaching sleight of hand to the actors and I saw that his breaks were tiny and I tried to duplicate it. To finish I show the blind shuffle with a card face up so that you may follow the action, I also positioned the camera much lower than what an audience would see and enlarged the break slightly so that you ...

Insight: Ballet glossary - positions of the feet Romany Pajdak, Royal Ballet First Artist, demonstrates positions of the feet. Feet positions: In all schools of ballet, there are five basic foot positions: first, second, third, fourth, fifth. All ballet movements begin or end in one of these five positions. Ballet dancers must have good natural turnout of the leg from their hip to enable them to stand in first position with the feet turned out to the sides. First position: Heels together, toes pointed outwards to the sides. Second position: The feet remain pointing outwards, but are moved apart in parallel with each other, by approximately the length of the dancer's foot and a half. Third position: The feet remain pointing outwards, but one is placed in front of the other, the front foot's heel touches the back foot's instep. Fourth position opposite third / fourth open: The feet remain pointing outwards, and in the same position as third but the front foot is placed slightly forward (about the length of one of the dancer's feet). Fourth position opposite fifth / fourth crossed: As above but the feet are crossed further with the front foot placed opposite the toes of the back foot. Fifth position: The feet point outwards with the legs crossed and the feet touching. The heel of one foot is placed beside the toes of the other. Read more:

Duncan Freeman - Outward investment by Chinese companies About the Event: Mr. Freeman gave a comprehensive overview of the development of outward foreign direct investment by Chinese companies, following Chinas success in attracting large volumes of inward foreign direct investment over the last thirty years. This governmentaccelerated phenomenon was facilitated by Chinas go global policy, a phrase that was a vital component of Chinas more outward-looking policy in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Outward FDI was facilitated by the reversal of Chinas investment policies and the relaxation of restrictions for the approval of investment projects. Mr. Freeman pointed out that lower levels of government and regional government can now approve investment projects. Mr. Freeman cited the example of Chinese PC manufacturer Lenovos acquisition of IBM's personal computing division in 2005 in his discussion, an acquisition that made Lenovo the third-largest personal computer company in the world and one of the biggest successes of Chinas go global policy. In describing the profile of companies involved in overseas foreign direct investment, the speaker noted that the vast majority of the top 40 investor companies were state-owned enterprises, with few private companies represented on the list. The vast majority of investments are taking place in Asia with a comparatively small percentage making their way into the European Union. Through these investments, Chinese companies stand to gain international experience and competitive advantage in ...

Forcible Entry: Outward Opening Door with Multiple Locks In this video instructors Chris Collier & Nate DeMarse demonstrate conventional forcible entry techniques for outward opening doors. At first glance this door appears to be only locked by a key in the knob lock. The halligan is set approximately 6" above the knob but when the door is pried it becomes obvious that there are other locking devices in place. If you are prepared for, and expect auxiliary locking devices you will easily overcome them when they are encountered. In this case, there were FIVE locking devices securing the door. They are listed below from the bottom to the top: - A foot-bolt (slide-bolt) that secured into the floor - A vertical dead-bolt below the knob - Key-in-the-knob lock - Slide-bolt just above the knob (4 screw holes, lock fell off) - Slide-bolt a few inches above the last lock shown in the video All FIVE of these locks were forced in approximately a minute. Had this key in the knob lock been a panic hardware device firefighters attempting the "framing square" technique would have been defeated and had to return to conventional forcible entry. Fire service tools have been invented and modified over the years. A few were intended for fire service application and others were borrowed from other trades. Many fire service tool adoptions and adaptions are worthwhile and useful. The ones that we (Brotherhood Instructors LLC) disagree with are the ones that have a very limited scope of use and require extra equipment. Our goal is to keep fire ground ...
