Barefoot Kajira - Pieds Nus Shoeless in France The first day: A sleepy Sunday afternoon in Aubenas. After weeks of bad weather I was spoiled with sun when I arrived in France. The few people around had smiles on their faces and the city lay in a sweet summer doze. To my surprise, sidewalks and streets were completely different to what I was used to. Mostly made of natural stone, they varied in form and size, which on its own was quite a sensuous experience. Wherever the sun managed to stretch its rays to, it felt cozy and warm, wherever the shade held its heavy hands upon, the cold seemed to put an end to sweet dreaming, reaching out to you with firm grip. With birds singing and bees humming their little blossom-opening allurement-songs a perfect beginning to my France enterprise....

Megurine Luka - No Logic [English Dub] by NUS Finally No Logic is out! I'm not too satisfied with how I adapted the lyrics on this one, but I must say, this one was a hard one, cuz I had to really keep in with the melody due to its fast tempo. Also, the lyrics are adapted according to how I interpreted the original text. There are probably parts that do not directly equate the original lyrics, and you have to understand that. Me takes no tackles! But still, I hope you all like it. Phew. This song is peculiarly high... so I had to wait until my damn cold got off me. I edited the image myself to fit my english dub ^0^ hehe. There are no subtitles cuz i'm to tired from all the mixing currently... Maybe later I'll get it subbed^.^ Anyhow, here are the lyrics. NUS Lunchtime Forum Featuring Dr Alan Wallace : Mental Resilience in Times of Crisis - Part 1 Speaker : Dr Alan Wallace, Founding President, Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness Studies. In these challenging times, how can we build up mental resilience to counter stress? On 10 December 2008, three experts from various disciplines shared with the NUS community their perspectives on this question, in a forum presented by the NUS Development Office and the Department of Psychological Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. The forum was chaired by the department's Head, Prof Kua Ee Heok. Our guest speaker was Dr Alan Wallace, renowned scholar of Buddhism and Founding President, Santa Barbara Institute for Consciousness Studies, who shared the Buddhist way to building mental resilience. On the panel with him were NUS professors Dr Jonathan Marshall, a psychologist who presented a case study of a patient grappling with stress, and Dr Frank CT Voon, an anatomist and psychotherapist who spoke on the neurological processes that take place when we encounter stress.

Barefoot Kajira - Pieds Nus 2 Back for more French impressions... Being Sunday, the city of Aubenas was quite deserted, which I did not mind after my long journey. There were a few people relaxing in cafes, simply enjoying the lovely warmth of the long yearned for sunshine, or involved in a quiet conversation. The most prominent noise came from the birds high up in the air, which sputtered with liveliness, busily securing their continuance... The ground felt nice, strange but welcoming. The asphalt had given up under the force of climate (extreme heat in summer as well as extreme cold in winter) on some passages. It had literally broken up, leaving rough edges, which made a nice difference to the silky feeling of tiles and the bumpiness of cobblestones. The dirt though crept into those fine wrinkles, not distinguishing between home ground and foreign territory...

Spiderman spotted at NUS central library 23/04/09 Was mugging (studying) in school during study week as usual and this happened at around 130am. Is this a NUSSU (student union) 'event' or is it some idiot trying to play the fool... or is it really SPIDEY???? :P See for yourself.
