Fire Starter 18/09/06, 12am, the arsonist fairies come out to play and set fire to a car. 1:30am while the police are still on the scene, the same arsonists set fire to a van, just around the corner. 12:30am - First car is set on fire (Volvos burn well) 12:45am - Fire Brigade arrive (tea and crumpets for all) Put out car fire. 1:00am - Police arrive (drink tea, discuss footie) 1:45am - Myself and the other non involved neighbours go back to bed. 2:00am - Police decide to take statements and wake us all up again 2:15am - While the police are taking our statements in the street, the arson fairies set a VAN on fire 25ft away from where we are standing talking to the policemen (yes the Police were still with us) 2:22am - Attending Policeman renamed by his controller "Fire Starter" We can hear the bobbies all over Basingstoke calling in to take the mickey out of him, on his radio, poor sod. 2:30am - Fire Brigade are back (spend a bit of time catching up with old friends!) 2:45am - Fire is put out. 3:00am - Neighbours go back to bed. 3:00am - 8:00am wake up at at every single sound outside the house. 9:00am - Emerge into daylight and the neighbours outside chatting about the previous few hours, only to find the police had stationed two bobbies in an unmarked car outside all night..
