Video Mosaicing for Non-Chronological Time Editing Google Tech Talks June 27, 2007 ABSTRACT Non-Chronological Video Mosaicing involves the generation of a new video from an input video such that the chronological order of events is not preserved. The freedom from the chronological constraint enables multiple effects that are otherwise impossible: (1) The creation of dynamic panoramic video of a dynamic panoramic scene from a regular camera scanning this scene. (2) The generation of virtual immersive walk-through from a regular camera scanning a city street. (3) The summarization of video into a shorter video. This summarization is especially effective for continuously transmitting webcams. The computation of camera ego-motion is needed...

Post-Modern Deconstruction for Beginners The most faithful way of representing a road trip is not by means of categorical recitation of the events; rather, it is through a non-chronological disintegration of those events. I dedicate this video to Ian Le.

Non-Chronological Time lapse A series of photos taken from my study window between 60 seconds each. The frame rate is 8 images per second, being the maximum fps allowed by Windows Movie Maker. The 3 sequences are in order of the time of day, but neither by date nor actual chronology. The reason for this is to preserve the time of day. Why it is in 3 segments is simply due to the battery life of my camera, which only constitutes for about 6 hours of continuous filming. The music is from Prokofiev's "Peter and the Wolf"

Madonna 1985 The Virgin Tour Book. madonna's run at the top of the charts lasted so long, longer than almost any other star, it's almost impossible to squeeze all the hits onto one collection. The First Night / Dante Doubts / Beatrice Appears / A Walk In the Woods This is the first in my (non-chronological) series of original scoring for Dante Alighieri's Inferno. I based this piece off of Canto II, when Dante is following Virgil through the woods; Dante, being the nervous twit that he is, unloads on Virgil all his self-doubts and worries about being saved, making it through, and such. Virgil then reveals to him the circumstances of his mission, assigned to him by Dantes' one, true love, Beatrice. Beatrice is a resident of Paradise and intends for Dante to travel through Hell and Purgatory in order to reach Heaven. Dante then feels batter and permits Virgil to lead on. They proceed to enter the very darkest part of the forest, where they will find the entrance to Hell. ------------------------------------ I wanted to communicate a clear sense of story progression in the music while at the same time also evoking an unstructured syntheis of peacefulness and foreboding, comfort and tension. The first and last piano segments were created on my computer, while the middle section's medley was recorded and largely improvised. I wanted a smooth transition from the uncertainty to the hope, all the way to a creepy reminder of what's to come. The grim string motif at the beginning denotes the rising doubts that came to mind, while the piano intermission represents the appearance of Beatrice. The final cue with the simple piano rhythm introduces us to the start on their walk through the heart of the dark woods. Inspirations include John ...

Murder in the Park Trailer Murder In The Park is a thrilling emotional film about three young boys who go to the park. All is not as it seems at Blackford pond though. In all seriousness, this is a trailer for a unbelievably camp, weird, non chronological, nonsensical, messed up film we made when we were about 7.

Let The Quran Speak - Proof For The Quran as God's Word #7 - Numerical Miracle of the Quran Let the Quran Speak - Numerical Miracle of the Quran - Week 1 of 2 Shabir Ally divulges in the numerical miracle of the Quran. The numerical miracle is miraculous not only due to the numbers and ratios presented, but because of the complex nature of the history of the Quran. The Quran was written over a period of ~ 23 years in a non-linear manner. The revelation of verses was non-chronological. It was based upon the context of the Muslims' condition and society. This concludes that there must have been an extremely well thought out plan to allow such an overall accuracy of numbers. Segment Aired: CTS Jan 6 2007

Making an A4 paper box Y5 project for writing annotations I have been working very closely with a Y5 group of children and looking at non-chronological writing and instructional texts. THE CHILDREN WROTE Without any instructions or help, we were given the job of making a paper box. Tony Wilson gave us an A4 piece of paper, 3 paper clips, a pair of scissors and a ruler. We found it hard to make the box by ourselves. He then put a series of 8 instructions on the board and showed us how to do it. It was much easier when we knew how to use the 7 cm. former. We set up the camera and we all took turns at filming each other making the box. Everyone got a turn at making a part of the box and got to use the camera.Tony asked us what we wanted to put on as instructions and we all talked about what to put on the video as he took notes. He put the music on to make it seem calm. We have used the techniques to make an A4 paper house. BASIS OF THE WORK We have written reports for other classes and this exercise is completed now that the pupils have written this part of the description themselves. The film work was done by the pupils and the annotations were brought about through ***ysis and discussion of the procedure. Everything was discussed and decided by the students; from the colour and positioning of the text, to the content and number of instructions to be placed on the video.

The Meaning of American Pie in pictures This video is the result of a research project where I attempted to interpret the song "American Pie" by Don McLean. The images match my interpretation. McLean's song is a non-chronological journey through the music and culture of the 1960's. He bemoans the lost innocence of Rock n' Roll that emerged in the wake of the deaths of Buddy Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper.

The Collection is two-to-three discs (depending on whether you get the regular or the deluxe package. The DVD seems to be exactly what a fan would want and put together themselves if they had access to the archives. Rush vocalist/bassist Geddy Lee told us that it's his brother that discovered the footage, and the band felt that using the footage would be great for their Rounder Records R-30 dream collection. The DVD, R-30, features live performances of most of their hits in a non-chronological retrospective set on Disc 1. Archive footage...

iBeer The iPhone allows conferencing, call holding, call merging, caller ID, and integration with other cellular network features and iPhone functions. For example, a playing song fades out when the user receives a call. Once the call is ended the music fades back in. Voice dialing is not supported by the iPhone. The iPhone includes a Visual Voicemail feature allowing users to view a list of current voicemail messages on-screen without having to call into their voicemail. Unlike most other systems, messages can be listened to and deleted in a non-chronological order by choosing any message from an on-screen list. AT&T, O2, T-Mobile and Orange modified their voicemail infrastructure to accommodate this new feature designed by Apple. A lawsuit has been filed against Apple and AT&T by a company called Klausner Technologies claiming the iPhone's Visual Voicemail feature infringes two patents.[9] A ringtone feature was introduced in the United States on September 5, 2007, but is not yet available in all countries where the iPhone has been released. This feature allows users to create custom ringtones from their purchased iTunes music for an additional fee, the same price of a song. The ringtones can be from 3 to 40 seconds in length of any part of a song, can include fading in and out, can pause from half a second to five seconds when looped, and never expire. All customizing can be done in iTunes, and the synced ringtones can also be used for alarms on the iPhone. Custom ringtones ...

All About Lily Chou-Chou - Sight (Fan Trailer) "all about lily chou chou" begins with a series of manually keystroked chat-room-style statements that introduce facts and ideas, mostly related to mythical pop-star "lily chou chou." this sort of cinematic introduction sounds similar to many other computer-age-themed films, but amazingly the keystroke dialogue between several anonymous internet fanatics continues past the credits and runs through almost the entire movie. the nicely-scripted, brilliantly executed text acts as the backbone that beautifully holds together a story that is ultimately about many things, including the fragility of relationships and the personas we use based on them, fanatical envy and love contrasted against blind rage and hate, metamorphosis, and technology versus nature. although executed in an arguably confusing manner, consisting of many non-chronological vignettes, the film ultimately succeeds in depicting a modern-day story involving the relationship between two early-adolescent japanese boys, their journey through life and school, their changing identities, and their fascination with and "connection" to the strangely popular musician, lily chou chou. visually, the filmmaking complements the ideas perfectly. the camera is often puerile and shaky when showing the boys' ventures and conversations. at one point, a vacation sequence is depicted solely through excited and dizzying amateur videography by the boys themselves, humorous close-ups of accompanying girls' bodies included. during the ...

Augustine Kofie: Character Studies Zine [OUT OF STOCK Character Studies Zine | Edition of 40 Character studies is a long & overdue Zine for me to be producing. For those that know my history, I was rooted in illustration and character designs. It's what lured me into painting characters on walls and eventually teaching me about my own creative side. Some of the characters date as far back to 1993, the year I started working under the moniker Kofie. I decided to keep the zine non chronological to show that even if there are years between drawings, there is still a tie in, a common denominator... a love for lines. Some of the faces may be familiar to some, as they are the original sketches to paintings I've executed on exterior walls. I was selective on my character choices here, but all in all I think this first showcase sets a good pace and introduction to some. Enjoy. INFO: Edition of 40, signed & numbered on back. 14 Page, 8.5 x 5.5 inch staple-bound zine with cover printed on found paper ( first 10 on ledger paper, the rest on green security paper). Your envelope will also include a sticker and a postcard. Shipped from Los Angeles via USPS. Available at: /?page_id=66 [Out Of Stock]

2046 with soundtrack This is a little mix I made just to show people I know about the movie 2046 by Wong Kar Wai - its a really great movie if you enjoy Chinese films. His movies normally have lots of symbolism and hidden meanings so you can always get more every time you watch them. Its not the best vid I've done, but it'll do :) The music is from the soundtrack to 2046. The movie 2046 is a loose sequel to Wai's movies "Days of Being Wild" and "In the Mood for Love." It follows the aftermath of Chow Mo-wan's unconsummated affair with Su Li-Zhen in 1960s Hong Kong but also includes some science fiction elements. Per wikipedia - "There are four main story arcs to the film. Three are about the relations of Chow Mo-wan with women that he meets after losing Su Li-Zhen. The first concerns Chow and Wang Jing Wen, the second is about Chow and Bai Ling, and the third is about Chow and a different woman who is also named Su Li-Zhen. The fourth takes place in Chow's mysterious world of 2046 and concerns a Japanese passenger falling in love with an android. Typical of Wong Kar-wai films, the arcs are presented in pieces and in non-chronological order. Also typical of Wong Kar-wai films, many scenes in the film involve characters conversing back and forth in different languages (Japanese, Cantonese, Mandarin). It is assumed that each character, while only speaking one primary language, is more-or-less fluent in the other languages."

Catch-22 - The General's Wac Probably the funniest scene in the movie.. __________________________________ Catch-22 is a satirical, historical novel by the American author Joseph Heller, first published in 1961. The novel, set during the later stages of World War II from 1943 onwards, is frequently cited as one of the great literary works of the twentieth century. It has a distinctive non-chronological style where events are described from different characters' points of view and out of sequence so that the time line develops along with the plot. The novel follows Yossarian, a US Army Air Forces B-25 bombardier, and a number of other characters. Most events occur while the airmen of the fictional Fighting 256th (or "two to the fighting eighth power") Squadron are based on the island of Pianosa, in the Mediterranean Sea west of Italy. Catch-22 is a 1970 war film adapted from the book of the same name by Joseph Heller. Considered a black comedy revolving around the "lunatic characters" of Heller's satirical novel. Although a talented production team which included director Mike Nichols and screenwriter Buck Henry (who also acted in the film) worked on the film for two years, the complex task of recreating a World War II bomber base and translating an anti-war satire proved daunting. Besides Henry, the cast included Alan Arkin, Martin Balsam, Richard Benjamin, Norman Fell, Art Garfunkel, Jack Gilford, Bob Newhart, Anthony Perkins, Paula Prentiss, Martin Sheen, Jon Voight and Orson Welles.
