niffer's garden update 7 Still got lots of transplanting.. hoping on a community garden plot i am on waiting list.. atleast that way if we move i don't loose the harvest no matter what someone gets it. Most things are going in pots tho if i don't get a garden plot. as for the tiny tim.. im went for putting them in the planter after all. wanted deeper but couldn't find anything affordable for it.

Kelly's Vegetable Garden May 29, 2010 - Update 2 Hello everyone. This is a quick video update for my garden. Not much to talk about other than massive growth and lots of tomatoes popping out everywhere. I keep getting spinach, lettuce and broccoli because it has been so cool here. Today was our first day in the 80's and it looks like it's going to continue for a while which is good news for the garden. My next video should be a lot more interesting because I will have more to talk about. I couldn't do any upside down garden this year because the fence belongs to my neighbor and he wasn't too keen on me do it.... so I have decided to do something that I haven't done before but I have always wanted to. In addition to planting a bunch more things in wine barrel containers, I'm putting together a hydroponic garden. I have been cloning plants for a long time but I thought it would be interesting to start growing them hydroponically and compare the growth using traditional methods. It should be interesting. I will try to do a video of the entire building process so stay tuned. In the meantime, happy gardening. Kelly

Niffer's Gardening (their growing!) the start of my first real garden. i did some gardening as a kid but don't remember a whole lot of it. so i am starting over again. :) for the last year i have been preping to have a garden weather it be in pots or in raised beds. i will likely do a little of both this year. So much growth. we have a raised bed but have to fill it with compost still. as well as i am still debating on where to put half the plants. it is going to start warming up very soon. I'm going to tranplant the tomato's again.. bigger pots! oO where am i going to put them all!

240 Bayou Road, Lake Martin, AL The first thing youll notice about this Lake Martin home is the huge, flat, wooded and private lot. 360 feet +/- of waterfront. Sandy beach and view for miles see across the big water from Pleasure Point to Windover. But then you walk inside and see the wood floors, walls, and ceiling that make this a nice, fun cabin, not a cold museum. Main house has 2 beds 2 baths, and the guest house is finished out super nice and is self sufficient. The guest house has huge glass windows on three sides and has 2 queen beds and a full kitchen. The lot + guest house is worth it! This home would be perfect for two families to go in together and buy, or for the family that entertains a lot and will frequently have guests. I just really cant get over the lot, though. Very few lots on Lake Martin are this flat yet have deep water. Or are this wooded yet this big. Or have a sandy beach AND a long, multi mile view. Plus, since its off of Tallapoosa County Road 34, that means its close to area restaurants like Oskars, Niffers, and Christophers.
Niffer's garden update 3 (Their growing!) everything growing extreamly well. except some of the peppers. however the pepers not comming up are fromthe same people. so there is no suprise at this point of why they didn't come up. the red habenaro was from a different company where i got almost all the rest of my seeds including the tomato's (they all sprout!) Way too many tomato's may be giving some out.. but i really didn't think i would get that many. :) i did so many different types to explore the taste of each. and see what i like most. So far.. a excellent amount of stuff growing. :)

We had NO IDEA how to garden... but some simple steps found in the book: Square Foot Gardening by Mel Bartholomew really made our first official garden a fun, healthy and beautiful part of our life. Niffer's garden update 2 (their growing!) replanted the tomato's tonight but i will film what i have done in a few days.. don't think you want to hear me coughing.. wanted to get this video in before i shot the tomato's in their new pots. What to do with that lettuce?? they are really taking off. beets are a little beat up.. my sweet 5 yr old was trying to take them outside and they took a crash on my stairs. if they don't do well i will reseed them. but they are looking like they are starting to come out of shock..

Niffer's garden update 10 garden after the hail.. everything made it thru some damage. everything is mostly happy and healthy. will soon be planting outside. i can't wait. mother's day but i may wait a couple more days. especially after the hail storm we got. quick update.
Niffer's garden 9 update update on my garden, suprise rubarb appeard. thought it was gone almost threw it away.. suprise suprise.slugs are getting my broccoli and lettuce. not too much going on. except the slugs and the new beds, and plants getting larger. a few flowers begining to start on tomato's and peppers. but not big enough to see on the camera just yet.. will be fun when you all can see all the blooms i am begining to see. hopfully will see them very soon.
