Hasegawa 1/48 SBD-3 Dauntless Probably one of my quickest builds in that I didn't start on something else during the build or spend any time away from it for whatever reason - a first for me! The canopy didn't 'nest' like it should, so I had to omit the gunner's section and the pilot's sits rather awkwardly over the fixed centre section, but hey-ho and all that! Oh and I still have to figure out a way to put in some brake lines on the wheel struts as I stupidly rigged the antenna first, making it very difficult to work on the underside of the plane. I don't know, these rush jobs!!! ;) The eagle-eyed among you may have also spotted at the start, that in addition to the other aftermarket bits 'n' bobs, there was also the Quickboost Liferaft and container set. Unfortunately, due to the Aires ***pit - and bearing in mind that Quickboost is part of the same company as Aires - the container wouldn't fit, so I had to leave that set out. Anyone want to buy a 1/48 Dauntless life raft and container....? Didn't think so...

This will also help you achieve one if you don't want to shave the sides of your head, or can't because of a job, or whatever. Again I recommend Vavoom Hairspray (usually sold for about 10-15 dollars at salons, though it lasts me quite a while because of how well it holds and is worth every penny) I haven't seen or heard of deathhawkers using this, but I swear up and down I will not use anything different. You can see throughout the video how it holds every strand exactly how I placed it. However other styles of deathhawks are more teased out and more rats-nest like than mine. Bumblebees Nesting In about May 2009, these bumblebees made their nest in a garden compost bin in Wiltshire, England. If you look closely, I believe that you can see the queen laying an egg. The life cycle of a nest like this is only about three months; at the end, the workers raised new queens, killed the old queen and abandoned the nest. They did not return in 2010.

BETTAS BRED!!!!! my bettas breed sucessfully for once =) this pair went really quick i put them in the tank seperated like last week and the male (DT/CT) made a nest like a day after and it was HUGE!!! but the female is a crown tail too.this went on for 2 1/2 hrs without me planning to put them together for a while still (she wanted to take a little night swim with him ;) but the nest is filled with eggs and hes taking care of them. im hopeing the eggs will hatch because they would be really cool looking. i probilly will put a comment about them tommorow night

The Robin Red-breast and the lost chick The parents of this chick had reared three of them in a hole in our roof. I got home from work one day to find one of the chicks loose in the back garden. It wasn't strong enough to fly yet and was in danger of becoming cat food. What happened to the other two chicks I never found out. I couldn't let it leave the garden because it wouldn't survive, so I managed to coax it into a large empty plant pot that had a convenient hole down low enough for it to hop through. I put some grass down to make it more nest like (what else would you do?!). Eventually, one of the parents realised where it was and started feeding it. You can hear the calls between parent and chick very clearly. By the time that I got home the following day it had gained enough strength to jump out of the pot but was still an easy target. Before too long, however, it had figured out how to get through our fence into the neighbours garden. I could see the parent bird guiding it in behind the neighbours shed and what happened then is anyone's guess. It's ok to believe that they all lived happily ever after. That's what I choose to believe and there's not a ***er on Earth can say otherwise. The parent would make trips into our garden to feed during the following weeks, and it was my fancy to imagine that it lingered a little, and nodded in my direction. Cheers mate, it may have said. Bass Drop Shot Tips - This Deadstick Dropshotting Technique for Fishing really works! This is a awesome Technique for spawning bass on overcast days when you cannot see the beds clearly. Cast parallel to the bank in 2-6 foot of water when you know there is bed fish present. Keep your rod tip down and inch it slowly along the bottom, pausing frequently for seconds at a time. Even though you cannot see the nest like you would be able to do on a sunny day, chances are you are going to drag it over a nest where aggressive males are close by. You can get lucky and nab a female if she is locked or hungry too. Work the inside of points on spawning banks along towards the backs of coves during the spring in water temps preferably above 60 degrees and you know they are spawning or getting close. On this day when the sun did peak out for a few minutes I took the time to look to see if I could find bedding fish, which I did. so then i checked the water temp, so wherever I went on the lake with similar water temp and banks, I just figured bass were spawning there too. The patterned worked perfect and i was able to hook and land 40 + fish in a short amount of time. Give it a try on your local lake. Smaller worms in the 4" range seems to work best but that all depends on your lake..

Beta Spawn 4-20-09 This is my third attempt to breed and raise Beta's. Not an easy task...I assure you! Today we had success with the FIRST STEP. Pretty Boy and Mrs. Blue Bell had many 'embraces' today...so we should have baby fish by Thursday. He is tending his bubble nest like a good Boy Beta, working his little heart out...keeping her eggs in those bubbles 'he blew'. She is swimming in her own tank, with no worries....free and carefree.
