See Emily Play - Someday Well, I've just had the deepest few hours sleep in weeks, as I've been dashing about like a Mad Thing over the past few days, planning to "See Emily Play" at the lovely "Bush Hall" on 16th October, two days after my umpty-seventh Birthday. I was up all night making my own "Death by Chocolate" Birthday Cake, on 15th, helped in a vain attempt to keep Maresfield Thursday Morning Market open, took loads of photos, planted Narcissi Bulbs, carefully nurtured one fine specimen "Papa Meilland" exquisitely scented, deep red rose, to add to the beautiful, but scentless "Grand Prix" roses in Emily's Bouquet, helped progress my sons Thrash Metal Band "The Engines of Armageddon", as they sent me an almost completed first debut album CD for my birthday, bought 37 Teddy Bears from seven shops in Uckfield for my sister in The Midlands, who is an avid collector, visited the tranquil "Bateman's" on Wednesday Morning with my Landlady and 18th month old son, thus I got myself over-tired, over-excited & way over-the-hill, when I had an arduous two & a half hour crazy drive to Shepherds Bush to witness Emily's next major step forward. As a consequence, my mind was in turmoil at the gig, I dozed off during the Support Act, but thank goodness my Sony Cyber-shot was functional, although short on Memory Space, when I chose to record "SOMEDAY", as that lovely song was the very first of Emily's that I recorded, just 14 months ago at the truly wonderful "Lewes Guitar Festival", see the video on here ...

Millwood Springtime for Tomas The third consecutive beautiful March Day in our Garden Valley resulted in this attempt to represent the work that Tomas & Simon put into planting the new narcissi under the trees, in the Autumn of 2008. This is still a work in progress and Simon & Andrew have planted several trees amongst the narcissi. The start of the video shows my little patch of garden with my crocuses & dwarf narcissi. At Simon's insistence I have put a more uptempo musical backing titled "Better To Live" for this video, as Simon said I have been too melacholic with my previous choices! LOL!

Dance of the Demon Daffodils At the "Oxford Folk Festival" Gig at "The Oxford Town Hall" on Saturday 17th April 2010, I spied an album by John Kirkpatrick titled "The Dance of the Demon Daffodils", so I just had to buy it. (LOL) I spent a couple of hours this morning finding some Daffodils & Narcissi that had not faded away in the "Heatwave" we have enjoyed in The South of England for three days now. I drove up to the Gardens of The Buxted Park Hotel and captured this video, that I hope you enjoy.

Garden Valley Daffodil Delights At 2.45am this Sunday Morning 29th March 2009, I was woken up by a baying, howling Red Fox, right outside my window, out there in the dark Garden Valley, with a crystal clear starry night sky above us. The rascally Fox is probably after our chickens yet again, foxes having killed nearly twenty hens over the years! Now I'm out of bed, I will upload this video taken late yesterday afternoon, on a Spring Day of mixed weather conditions, starting very cold and frosty, then sunlight, then rain, then hail, then sunny spells again, so I tried for the final time to capture the essence of all the hours of hard work that went into clearing this wild patch of our Garden Valley, which started last summer, then Tomas and Simon planted hundreds and hundreds of narcissi bulbs in the autumn. Searching for a piece of music to accompany my video, I spied a guy with the name "Llewellyn", which was the second Christian name of my belated Father. The length of the song I chose fitted exactly, so I published it and see what you think, because it scared me, I can tell you now. It is titled "*** in the Wood" and is based on a true British Ghost Story! The fact that I deliberately filmed part of a Children's Play Area, to show a German Friend, who is coming to stay with us in June for the first time, makes this combination of footage and sinister music really creepy! BOOO! LOL

Simmering Sissinghurst Spring Toward the end of the most lovely week of sunny Spring weather that I can recall in my long life, I headed off across the border of East Sus*** into Kent, to the delightful Sissinghurst Castle Gardens on Friday 20th March 2009. Sissinghurst has been a tranquil Haven of Peace for Me over the past five years, but recently featured in a Series of 8 episodes on BBC4 that overall made it appear to be a hotbed of simmering resentment and pettiness, behind the scenes of this beloved National Trust Treasure. The narcissi everywhere across this lovely area of England have benefitted from this week's fine weather and have bloomed magnificently, as you can see in my previous videos taken in Our Garden Valley. Those daffodils naturalised in the Orchard Garden, behind The Two Towers, were especially wonderful on this quite glorious Spring Day, where all was at peace from my camera angle. This orchard is surrounded by a Moat, so after much thought I chose The Prague Chamber Orchestra playing Suite No. 2 in D Major of Handel's Water Music to finesse the delicate Daffodil Delights.

British Cut flowers - Daffodil Mid March in the UK sees the daffodil buds open to provide a welcome display of pale and sunny yellows in the garden. Daffodils, or Narcissi as they are collectively known, make great cut flowers. They are best picked in the morning with the flowerbuds showing partial colour or just ready for opening.

Googoosh - Jomjomak xD TRÜTH, PEACE & COSMOLOVE She grew into a silver cypress tree, Her heart was steely, and her spirit free, And Wisdom gazing on her lovely face Was baffled to describe her radiant grace. It said, "She is a garden burgeoning With all the freshness of the early spring, Her eyes are two narcissi, and her hair The purple violets darkly nestled there, Her face is formed from tulips and wild roses." Bet then it said, "It's autumn that composes Her loveliness, not spring, and she is made Of fruits that ripen in autumnal shade: Her hair is clustered grapes, her breasts now show The shape of pomegranates as they grow, Her chin is like an apple, sweet and round." And then it said, "In this sweet girl is found The riches all the world desires, and she Is like a wealthy royal treasury: Her skin is silk, her face is rich brocade, Her hair the essence from which scents are made, Her body's made of silver, and beneath Her ruby lips peep priceless pearls, her teeth." And then it said, "But God has formed her of His own refulgence, and celestial love, And in her body all components meet That makes the walks of paradise so sweet, The water and the milk, her cheek's red wine, The honey of her lips, are all divine." It's no surprise if Wisdom missed the mark, Since heaven's eye, in seeing her, grew dark. Her cheeks would steal spring's heart, when Patience spied Her lovely eyes it sighed for them and died; Her face was like the sun, in coquetry She was the mistress of all sorcery. Like some ...

Holland: Keukenhof (Kitchen Garden), Part 1 of 3 Lying in a wooded park of 32 ha (79 acres) close to Lisse, the Keukenhof is one of the most spectacular public gardens in the world. It was set up in 1949 as a showcase for bulb-growers and currently has around 6 million bulbs planted . Fields are full of dazzling narcissi, hyacinths and tulips in bloom from the end of March to the end of May. You can also see the white blossom of the Japanese cherry tree in the park early in the season and, later in the year, the bright flowers of the azaleas and rhododendrons. Bulb Fields - The Bollenstreek, a 30-km (19-mile) stretch between Haarlem and Leiden, is Holland's primary bulb-growing area. From March, the polders are aglow with glorious colors - the crocuses are the first to flower and the season culminates around mid-April with the majestic tulips. The lilies then follow at the end of May.

New Year in Saigon Tết is amazing experience. The celebration is more like a festal of thousands of flowers, trees, flower arrangement and sculptures. You can forget about drinking alcohol like we do it on the West and I really respect this. What about celebration next Ney Year without alcohol? I'm in. And I can even make flower arrangement. Parks, streets, hotels, houses are decorated with peach flowers, narcissi, flowers of yellow apricot, and artificial Christmas trees. Very common are also bonsai, chrysanthemum, marigold, lavender, orchids and many other picturesque flowers. ow.ly

Narcissi Planted by Tomas & Simon In the Autumn of 2008, Tomas & Simon planted hundreds of narcissi bulbs in Our Garden Valley, but sadly Tomas had to return home to Czechoslovakia in December and was disappointed that he would not see the fruits of his hard labour. With modern technology Tomas can and here are the bulk of the Narcissi planted in a newly cleared area. I selected a better bit of banjo tune by Kenneth King titled "A Brighter Light Will Shine" to back my video and it made me smile, so I hope you do too!
