This is a win for the city of Rancho Cordova. Many residents came out to see the backhoe go to town. A new residential multi-dwelling unit will go in place of The Stagger Inn and contribute to the beautification of Foslom Blvd in Rancho Cordova. Bethlehem 3rd Alarm Multi-Dwelling In the morning hours of May 8th 2009 Bethlehem 911 dispatched BFD units to the 400 Blk of Carlton st for the structure fire. Upon arrival of firefighters they found the first floors of two homes well involved and struck the second alarm. Members of the BFD made an aggressive attack putting on a good knockdown of the initial fire. While first in crews where in rehab and other crews prepared to go in for overhaul fire erupted on the second floor and and vented out the windows this along with the warm weer brought out the third alarm assignment. The additional fire was also quickly extinguished. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with an ankle injury and several civilians where treated at the scene for inhaling smoke, the fired was deemed to have started from a discarded cigarette.
