  • Replacing My Muffler Always wear eye protection when working with vehicles. Also, gloves are a good investment. Step 1: Assess the situation, lay under your vehicle and look at what needs to be done. 2: gather necessary tools, make sure the vehicle is on a level area w/ all brakes engaged and wheels chocked. 3: Begin to Remove the Muffler Inlet Tube from the rest of your tailpipe (If This involves cutting, don't be afraid to use a hacksaw.) 4: Remove the muffler unit from its hangers (shown in video) by either soaking the nuts in penetrating oil, or by doing it my way by carefully sawing the muffler clamps off. 5: Insert New Muffler Unit in Same position a old, Be Careful Not To reverse The Muffler Inlet and Outlet tubes!! (Inlet always goes toward front of vehicle) 6:Secure Muffler Position w/ new Muffler Clamps and hangers if necessary. 7: Seal the areas where the Muffler Tubes Connect to other tubes with sealant compound or epoxy exhaust tape to ensure maximum results and no leaks. 8: Start 'er Up and Listen To the Beautiful New Sound!
