Celebrating the Miracles On July 8 and 9, 2010, dozens of patients with monogenic diabetes and their families gathered in Chicago for a first-of-its-kind conference. At the University of Chicago Gleacher Center, each family shared the story of transitioning their diabetic child from injected insulin to a simple pill, a switch many described as a "miracle." Hear those families' accounts and learn about the scientific discoveries that made the transitions possible in this video from the conference, hosted by Chicago news anchor Warner Saunders. Using Twin and Adoption Studies - Introduction View the full Interactive Tutorial at: Many factors are known to be important in disease causation and these can include an individuals age, gender, genetic make-up and environmental factors that they have been exposed to, such as infectious agents or chemicals. Not all individuals exposed to the same level of a risk factor, for the same length of time, will develop a particular disease. For example not everyone exposed to the same level of tobacco smoke for the same length of time, will develop mouth cancer. In other words some individuals are more susceptible while others are less susceptible. This variability may be due to an individuals inherited genetic make-up and/or some other potentiating risk factor. Very rarely the susceptibility to develop a disease is entirely genetic or purely environmental; for most it is a combination of these factors. Some diseases that are thought to have an inherited or genetic component are seen to cluster in families and affect more than one generation, but without a clear pattern of inheritance as for monogenic diseases. Examples of this include early onset cardiovascular disease and Type II diabetes. Identifying genetic variants that increase or decrease an individuals susceptibility to disease can potentially lead to the targeting of preventive measures at those who are at greatest risk. This may also give valuable insights into the underlying molecular processes at a cellular level that are important in ...

Bomberman Hero OST 04 Monogenic

Bomberman Hero Music: Spiral Bomberman Hero song "Oropharynx" set to a clip of Kanatia's moons revolving. The track used is track 13. Honestly one of my least favorite songs, but the video fits and might make up for it a little. This song is one of 3 used for the boss battles. (The other two are landlord and tripod--for Nitros.) I clipped this song to about half length since it repeats anyway. One guy online complained that bomerman hero music isn't really music, but I like it--even this song isn't bad. Someone else said it sounds like megaman, but I like some techno/ambient music from games. Click on my channel for the other 18 tracks of BGM from this game. And a playlist with all of the songs/videos on it.

LV Orchid MUGEN #11: Bad Kitty! No "Din-Din" For You! *WARNING!: Current character's time is coming to a close. ETA: Unknown* ================================ Don't get the wrong idea, but I love cats... however, dogs kick more ass! Poppy: Woof! Yeah, Poppy. You said it. *gets licked by Poppy* Len & White Len: *glares at Vucious* Uh oh! Well, ***... RUN AWAY!!! *runs like a jello-mold on wheels* Opponent: Izuko Chrysoberyl ("Vs. AI" Mode) by Ptan Stage: Crystal Cave BGM: Monogenic (Bomberman Hero) ================================ Vucious' Random Rant: About "depreciation of value" of videos, the problem with videos like these is the fact that more than likely fights against the same person tend to grow old as people tend to do these earlier than the video uploader. In my case, I'm usually behind on these things as I don't update as much as I used to. As a result, I'm stuck playing "catch up" as I try to fight the lastest "it" character (be it good or bad). Is all this necessary? No, it isn't. But then again, I was bored and needed a quickie. With the added incentive of the obvious: Izuko got on my nerves. And on a somewhat related note: "Hail, Combo Breaker Madness!"
