DISCLAIMER: I should point out that mixing two glasses of whiskey and water will INITIALLY show a reasonably good seperation. HOWEVER, the 'seperation' will not go to compeletion, as the time it takes for the mixtures to seperate(~10 mins) is easily long enough for the ethanol and colloids to diffuse into the rest of the glasses. What I mean by this is that by mixing whiskey and water, they don't change places, you just get one more concentrated whiskey than the other (some whiskey is still left in the bottom glass). The only way to seperate them properly is in the way described in the video. Please feel free to pass comment on this, but I'm not going to take any notice unless you stick to the subject!
