Chris Parks Micro Photography Showreel Abstract artist, Chris Parks, creates an ethereal world through his dynamic fluid paintings which capture light, movement and depth in a totally unique way. Using mixed media within a liquid medium, Chris creates moving fluid paintings which continually change and develop over time and are frozen at a particular moment in time through the use of photography. All the paintings are naturally occurring events that Chris creates in his studio using organic ingredients. Nothing is digitally manipulated in any way: all colours are visible at the time of capturing the image. Organic particles are used to add a natural randomness to the flow and feel of the images. The paintings only exist for a moment before they evolve into something different and the desired effect is gone forever. Ian Sanderson (born 24 July 1961 in Exeter, Devon) is an English music producer/composer known for his work in Electronic Music. He is one of the founder members of Urban Myth Club and releases solo work under the name Chocolate Tannoy. Pappy Vs. The Necrophiliac Rotifer My father was looking over my shoulder while I photographed a frantic rotifer through a cheap children's microscope. He could see what was happening on the camera's viewscreen, and added a humorous running commentary. This happened at Stang Ranch in North Texas, during weather that was extremely unusual for that part of the country. The randy rotifer came from the birdbath of my friend Dok Frop. He probably taught it to behave that way. Appropriately, I think it is the type of rotifer known as a Philodina.
Tomato Roots Microphotography of unidentified bugs on tomato roots - UPDATE! The nematologist said that the nematode pictured is not a root knot, but an oligochaete. This would not be pathogenic or of any consequence—merely something there feeding on decaying matter. The entomologist said the mite is a scavenger mite. This would also be merely feeding on things other than root tissue.
