  • The Marrow Song (Oh What A Beauty) - Billy Cotton Had to upload this song, absolutely full of innuendo! LYRICS: Down the road there lives a man I'd like you all to know He grew a great big marrow For the local flower show When the story got around They came from far and wide And when the people saw the marrow Everybody cried! Oh, what a beauty! I've never seen one as big as that before Oh, what a beauty! It must be two feet long or even more! It's such a lovely colour And nice and round and fat I never thought a marrow Could grow as big as that! Oh, what a beauty! I've never seen one as big as that before Oh, oh, oh, oh, what a beauty! We've never seen one as big as that before! He was leaning on the garden gate the other day And beckoned to a lady Who lives just across the way He took her down the garden path And showed it her with pride! And when she saw the size of it The little lady sighed! "Oooh, what a beauty!" She'd never seen one as big as that before! Oh, what a beauty! It must be two feet long or even more! It's such a lovely colour And nice and round and fat I never thought a marrow Could grow as big as that! Oh, what a beauty! I've never seen one as big as that before It's stupendous! It's collosal! It's gigantic! It's bigger than that! Then the flower show was held and everybody went To see the great big marrow lying there inside the tent Soon the judges came along and give the prizes out They only took one look at it and then began to shout! Oh, what a beauty! We've never seen one as big as that before! Oh ...

  • Agalloch- Marrow of the Spirit ALBUM REVIEW Listen: bit.ly NPR Stream (good 'til Nov 23rd): n.pr Two more perspectives on this album: Agalloch's fourth studio album is an interesting followup to 2006's Ashes Against the Grain. Marrow of the Spirit is nowhere near as distorted or heavy, but the band manages to overcome that with a lot more melody, dynamics, and acoustic instrumentation. There are still some really brooding moments, and the long song lengths only enhance the dark mood the music shoots for. John Haughm really works to change up his vocal style on some pivotal points of the album, and the entire experience is really cohesive and cinematic. This is another triumph for the band's discography, but it really shouldn't be a surprise considering how consistent they've been thus far. What did you think of this LP? Love it? Hate it? Why? What should I review next? 8/10 / bit.ly http bit.ly bit.ly FAV TRACKS: Into the Painted Grey, The Watcher's Monolith, Black Lake Nidstång
