NECK-PAIN-ONE.MOV There are many causes of neck pain. Some are of course, very serious, such as metastasis of cancer to the cervical spine. But, there are more benign causes, which, are still, also serious. Whiplash (common term) as an injury from a motor vehicle accident, can cause imbrication of the zygapophyseal joints, causing inflammation and a great deal of pain. One can also have sprain / strain of the supporting muscles and soft tissues, and these can be pain generators. The problem is that while folks think of the pain as the real problem, pain is actual valuable, because it is your body's way of letting you know you have injuries, and an ongoing problem, and it prompts you to do something about the problem causing the pain. When you try to override this warning or alert, and ignore it, by way of using Vicodin (hydrocodone) or other pain killing narcotics, you allow the underlying problem to get worse, and to generate more degeneration of the tissues and joints. One can take Soma, Vicodin, and related pain killers and muscle relaxants, but if there are structural changes, and one has lost the cervical lordotic curve, and has paraspinal muscle spasm, one can take all the pain killers and muscle relaxants possible, and it will not correct this alignment issue, any more than someone who has a dislocated shoulder would regain proper function by taking muscle relaxants and pain killers. With a dislocation, the abberant joint must be reduced back to its proper alignment before proper ...

Oversized Prodisc In L4/5 with Fused Facets The 3 xrays of flexion/neutral/extension overlayed, show that: 1. In Neutral and Flexion, the level is locked in a Hyperlordotic state 2. In flexion, the L4 and above segments flex forward (kyphotic), while the L4/5 level is kept lordotic by the fused arthritic facets in the posterior. Thus, the oversized device induces a hyper-arc of rotation on the facets, which are already fused. However, the Prodisc ball & socket acts as a leverage, like a claw-hammer. The upper-body forms the handle of the hammer, the ball forms the head, the facets are the claw. Flexing forward transfers extreme tearing force on the facets. While in neutral or extension, the upper bodies weight is shifted to the facets due to the hyperlordosis (which is caused by the 11mm device jammed into an 8mm disc space).

Snatch Grip Low Pulls This movement begins with a snatch grip deadlift, and but continues to the "second pull" or the explosive portion of a snatch. It offers an increased range of motion to the deadlift, and a power emphasis. Failure is reached which the bar can no longer be made "weightless" during the explosive phase, and/or when the eccentric, or negative, can no longer be executed under control with a strong lordotic lumbar curve.
