Litany of St Philomena Prayer composed by St John Vianney (The Curé of Ars) who had a strong devotion to this Saint. Like St. Jude and St. Rita, St. Philomena is a patron of "hopeless" and "impossible" cases. Apologies that the prayer races a bit in the middle, I added in additional audio segments, (which are rather noticeable in some parts), in an attempt to correct for this to some degree.

Takemitsu - Litany Litany: In Memory of Michael Vyner (1989) I. Adagio II. Lento misterioso Toru Takemitsu (1930-1996) was an internationally acclaimed Japanese avant-garde and film composer. He was mostly self-taught and began composing when he was 16. Debussy and Messiaen were paramount influences, although he also experimented with electronic music and indeterminacy. His big break occurred when Stravinsky heard his Requiem (1957) and praised it as a masterpiece. Takemitsu also took an interest in Cage's music and theories. It was through Cage that Takemitsu developed an appreciation for his own Japanese heritage and began using traditional Japanese music in his own compositions. Takemitsu's style fluctuated constantly, but he remained a definite avant-gardist whose piano music shows kinship with the mysticism of Obukhov, Rudhyar, and Messiaen.

Litany of the Saints Icons are reminders of the spiritual world. They are windows into eternity; a holy space depicting sacred reality in the course of humanity. Iconography is the Bible in Art and theology in color. The bible and iconography along with prayer of the heart are the gates into the mystery of Orthodox Christian spirituality. Icons serve as "windows into heaven" depicting our Christian history reflecting images of Christ, the Virgin Mary, the Apostles and other holy and heroic Christians of the past. The icons found in Orthodox Churches are a celebration of the fact that Jesus Christ is indeed the Word made flesh (John 1:1-14). As the 7th Ecumenical Council held in Nicea in 787 proclaimed: "Icons are in colors what the Scripture are in words: witnesses to the Incarnation, the fact that God has come among us as a person whom we can see, touch and hear, to offer us the new life and begin the new creation." The eyes in an icon are made large and animated because they have seen great things. The ears are also made large to hear the commands of the Lord. The nose is made long and thin, therefore it doesn't smell the things of this world only spiritual fragrances. The mouth is small, since there is less importance on physical food and drink (fasting), and more importance on spiritual food "the Word of God." The halo encircling the head of Christ or the saint depicts the radiant light of the their divinity. Orthodox Christians do not worship icons, of course; worship is for God alone ...

Litaniae Sanctorum (Litany of the Saints) The Litany of the Saints (Latin, Litaniae Sanctorum) is a sacred prayer of the Roman Catholic Church. It is a prayer of invocation to the Triune God, and prayers for the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Angels and all the martyrs and saints upon whom Christianity was founded. It is most prominently sung during the Paschal Vigil at the beginning of Sacraments of Initiation for those to be received that night into the Church, in other celebrations of the Sacrament of Baptism (the first of the Sacraments of Initiation,) and in the liturgy for Holy Orders.

3-year-old recites poem, "Litany" by Billy Collins This is my 3-year-old son. He loves poetry and he loves to memorize. Here he is reciting a poem called "Litany" by Billy Collins. Here is the text: "You are the bread and the knife, the crystal goblet and the wine. You are the dew on the morning grass and the burning wheel of the sun. You are the white apron of the baker, and the marsh birds suddenly in flight. However, you are not the wind in the orchard, the plums on the counter, or the house of cards. And you are certainly not the pine-scented air. There is just no way that you are the pine-scented air. It is possible that you are the fish under the bridge, maybe even the pigeon on the general's head, but you are not even close to being the field of cornflowers at dusk. And a quick look in the mirror will show that you are neither the boots in the corner nor the boat asleep in its boathouse. It might interest you to know, speaking of the plentiful imagery of the world, that I am the sound of rain on the roof. I also happen to be the shooting star, the evening paper blowing down an alley and the basket of chestnuts on the kitchen table. I am also the moon in the trees and the blind woman's tea cup. But don't worry, I'm not the bread and the knife. You are still the bread and the knife. You will always be the bread and the knife, not to mention the crystal goblet and--somehow--the wine."

Litany Of Fury A song I compiled to listen to, with clips from the Dawn of War series set to Requiem for a Dream. This should go without saying, but if you for any reason hate the music then by all means save yourself the trouble of watching. This video can be best described as an unexpected success. I was totally expecting it to flop. I love you guys :D Also, it pleases me that people are now citing this video in their arguments of voice acting in DOW1 vs DOW2. Download: This is for fun only.
