I always fill up to FULL and zero the trip meter. So when I made this movie, the gauge is at 3/4 full. FULL TANK = 16 GAL. If it's linear and accurate, it should take around 4 gal to top it off. It clicked off at 3.935! For this video, to prove it's actually full, I topped it off again until it clicked twice (something I normally don't do!). When it clicked twice, it's at 4.157 gal. I traveled 93.5 miles in the city since last fill up. Meaning city MPG for this car currently is 22.5 MPG. I actually monitor where the gauge is everytime I fill up and can vouch for its accuracy down to 1/4 tank (I never let it gets lower than that). Meaning when the gauge says 1/2, I need 8 gal to top it off. At 1/4, it takes 12 gal, etc. In case you wonder, the car has km/h speedometer but trip and odo are in miles.

  • Yaqin MC 100B: Lowering distortion and improving linearity 1/2 In the 70's tube amp designers became excited with the possibilities of negative feedback (backcoupling) circuit as it now meant that one could achieve lower distortion, wider frequency response and in turn improve linearity. I do a mod to the Yaqin MC-100B hi-fi tube amp that increases the amountof negative feedback which we hope will increase linearity of the circuit. It appears that changing the 12K resistors in parallel with the 50pf caps in the negative feedback circuit in our spice simulation that the amp may be cleaner. I will report back with a demo in part 2.
