  • Radial Keratotomy 1 - Part 1 First of two radial keratotomy operations performed on my right eye to correct near-sightedness. (This video is the first 8 minutes of that 16-minute procedure.) At the 5:43 mark, you can see where the surgeon accidentally punctured my cornea. This little "microperforation" caused him a lot of difficulty with the remaining incisions because of the loss of intraocular pressure (that is, my eyeball got squishy). Consequently, he ended up completing only 14 of the 16 cuts. I now have an astigmatism, which I suspect might be related to this surgical glitch. I had a total of four RK surgeries: two per eye. I was only allowed to get video for the first two procedures (right eye only).

  • Rys4k vs. RobPonce in Quadradius -- Mr. Impatient Pants -- YouTubeHD Rys4k vs. RobPonce in Quadradius, chuck full of innuendo. A good start leaves me with six in the front and a Grow Quadradius. Soon thereafter, I find myself with an Invisible / Parasite Radial / Kamikaze Radial -- which is RUINED by a clever little Scramble Column on his part. After a bit more screwing about, I weasel my Grow Quadradius off the front line, and stumble upon another Grow Quadradius. I garner a Bunker and an Inhibit Radial on it, and we trade a few Tori back and forth wasting turns waiting for orbs. Little more carnage follows, and he Relocates then Destroys Column, opening up the left side of the board a bit. After an extended consideration, I decided to use my Double Swap Radial Tori to trade three for his -- two were trenched, with one on my HotSpot. Eventually, I slide the Double Quadradius forward and Inhibit almost half his remaining Tori. The Swap for the Power Planted piece paid off slightly as I 2X a Power Plant and Kamikaze Radial. He Dredged his fourth row, then Scrambled the Row to no real avail. We trade a few Tori, then he Scrambles his fourth again, landing atop my Double Kamikaze Torus, who'd literally JUST picked up a Jump Proof. He puts up a Snake Tunneling of no real effect, then I my Double Quadradius Parasited the Rows of the remaining Tori. What really turns it all around is when he Swaps Row on me near the 200th turn, essentially stealing my going plan. In response, I tried to bait him onto my HotSpot -- which he didn't take, but no ...

He modified the original Fyodorov method in 1986 and has performed over 25000 operations using his own personal technique. Further modifications have allowed Dr. Artsybashev to provide an alternative to corneal transplants for keratoconus patients.
