HP tx2000Z OS X86 Leopard 10.5.2 First MAC TABLET ! Update::::4/16/08 Since Iv posted this, its gotten quite a few views (more than I expected), so I feel their is a good deal of interest in people doing this mod themselves. It gotten alot easier since I first did itso here are the simplified instructions (faily tx2000z specific): 1)Make a partition ~10gb 2) Restart computer with LEO4ALL DVD, so much easier than the zepherous DVD for the tx series. 3) Press f9 to boot from cd, choose boot from cd 4)It will start to load and then stop, slide the power button once or twice, it will continue. 5)When you get into the install screen, go to disk utility (somewhere at the top) and choose your 10gb partition and erase it and change it to a journaled partition. 6)Exit that and continue with install, choose correct partition but go to settings/options. 7)Choose AMD patcher and anything else you think will work (nothing else really worked for me). 8)install. 9)Pretty good chance it wont boot when you restart. You need to insert your windows recovery cd and fix the boot order. You may have to go to command line and make your first windows partition active using disk part (google for instructions)to be able to fix the boot order. 9)reboot and you can choose to boot into windows or NST MAC of something like that. Windows should work and choosing mac and the the second or third partition option on the next screen should boot you into mac.**** **** You may have trouble setting mac up. This at least means your close. If it goes into a ...

Journaled Soft-Updates, Dr. Kirk McKusick, BSDCan 2010 Adding "journaling lite'' to soft updates and its incorporation into the FreeBSD fast filesystem Because soft updates prevent most inconsistencies, the journaling need only deal with tracking those inconsistencies that soft updates fails to address. Specifically, the journal contains the information needed to recover the block and inode resources that have been freed but whose freed status failed to make it to disk before a system failure. After a crash, a variant of the venerable fsck program runs through the journal to identify and free the lost resources. Only if a corruption of the log is detected is it necessary to run background fsck. The journal is tiny, 16Mb is usually enough independent of filesystem size. Although journal processing needs to be done before restarting, the processing time is typically just a few seconds and in the worst case a minute. It is not necessary to build a new filesystem to use soft-updates journalling. The addition or deletion of soft-updates journaling to existing FreeBSD fast filesystems is done using the tunefs program.

Divinity's Sweet Spot (or What Are You ?) 2010-01-28 4th Journal ♥ TRANSCRIPT: ♥ iTunes podcast ♥ Blip.tv channel theresaaharvey.blip.tv Intro: It feels pretty strange when you've already begun your third journal entry of the day, and it's only 2 am. Oh well, who needs to have their life run by a clock, anyway? That's at the heart of what's wrong with the whole Gregorian Calendar thing, but I don't want to get off into that. Just suffice it to say I follow my heart, not some clock. And my heart has me journaling this, now. What will come forth? I'm like a little kid at Christmas, really I am, most times when I'm journaling. I never know, from one moment to the next, what will come forth. The beauty of this is that I've waited and watch a whole lifetime for it to happen. I've journaled since childhood, and known, all along, that some day I would be able to do this. Oh, I most always connected with Spirit when I wrote, but there was still so much of the lesser self in it. You'd be amazed at how childish it could be, really. Well, maybe you wouldn't. Anyway, these days the stream is much clearer, and I learn so much when I journal. I get to see a whole new side of myself, too; my Higher Self, for that's mostly who comes through when I journal. When I was a *** I used to start all my journals with "Dear God," then just start writing. Stream of consciousness, they called it, and it worked for me. Many an answer to life's problems came to me that way. Still, it was nothing like so fee ...

Measurements of Success Kristen French, of Woodring College of Educations Multicultural Faculty Fellows Program describes ways to measure the success of the program. First of all, because it is a dynamic process, she believes that in some ways the process is more important than the outcomes, some of which may be difficult to measure, such as critical consciousness or transformation. For these reasons, qualitative research may be most appropriate to perform. The group has been audio taping discussions, journaling, and writing poems. Once they have collaborated on their choices, some of these will be the basis for publications and for presentation at conferences. Martins Cabin Part 1 This little cabin is hidden deep in the forests of northern Minnesota. Built in the 1920's and still being inhabited during the 1950 census has now become a special place for a lot of people. Jack L. brought his bride back here in the early 1950's for their honeymoon year. He then sold it to Everett B. and his fellow farmer-deerhunters. While out exploring on skis Martin happened upon it in 1986 and was able to purchase it with some friends. Many great memories have been journaled since then.

[Tutorial] Create a bootable external drive for Macs Doing this is actually a piece of cake, so understand this video as a summary. You can do this with everything that is recognized as an external drive may it be a hard-disk, a SD card, an iPod, a USB-stick or whatever. I don't know why I included the 2nd possibility, since this is really crap. There are several reasons (besides the slow booting of the machine afterwards): • The Master Boot Record (MBR) only supports drives ≤ 2 TB, which means that you'll soon need to trash that old thing. • When booting from a MBR-formatted drive, the Mac's EFI uses something like a compatibility mode.

Data Recovery on a Formatted Drive with TestDisk by Britec Data Recovery on a Formatted Drive with TestDisk by TestDisk & PhotoRec Download: TestDisk is a powerful free data recovery software! It was primarily designed to help recover lost partitions and/or make non-booting disks bootable again when these symptoms are caused by faulty software, certain types of viruses or human error (such as accidentally deleting a Partition Table). Partition table recovery using TestDisk is really easy. TestDisk can * Fix partition table, recover deleted partition * Recover FAT32 boot sector from its backup * Rebuild FAT12/FAT16/FAT32 boot sector * Fix FAT tables * Rebuild NTFS boot sector * Recover NTFS boot sector from its backup * Fix MFT using MFT mirror * Locate ext2/ext3 Backup SuperBlock * Undelete files from FAT, NTFS and ext2 filesystem * Copy files from deleted FAT, NTFS and ext2/ext3 partitions. TestDisk has features for both novices and experts. For those who know little or nothing about data recovery techniques, TestDisk can be used to collect detailed information about a non-booting drive which can then be sent to a tech for further ***ysis. Those more familiar with such procedures should find TestDisk a handy tool in performing onsite recovery. Operating systems TestDisk can run under * DOS (either real or in a Windows 9x DOS-box), * Windows (NT4, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista, 2008, Windows 7), * Linux, * FreeBSD, NetBSD, OpenBSD, * SunOS and * MacOS X Source files and precompiled binary executables are ...

Hackintosh Pro - Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P running Mac OS X Working perfectly with Mac OS X Snow Leopard and it thinks it's an iMac. All components working and dualbooting with Windows 7. Recorded on iPhone 4. Guide: Important! I used Ati Radeon 1950x Pro for my Hacintosh! Your standard Scaleo P will still work, and use the standard VGA card in your machine, but I don't know if the standard graphics card is compatible. Search for it on or google. (You can live without, but then you would have to live with laggy graphics). Remember it has to be 10.6.x compatible. So the first thing you need to do is to download Hazard 10.6.x ISO image. Link: If your internet provider has blocked The Pirate Bay, use og to access it :). Ignore torrent description! It is not important, because I will give you all information you will need in this guide! When you finished downloading burn the ISO image to a normal DVD. It does not have to be double layered! Now you should have a Hazard 10.6.1-10.6.2 Intel AMD build on a DVD. Harddrive: You need to have a harddrive or partition on your current to install this. So partition a normal NTFS (WE WILL PARTION HFS+ LATER) or insert another harddrive into the computer. Separete harddrive STRONGLY recomended. In both cases you should be able to dual boot with Windows. Now for the install: 1. Insert your DVD in your Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo P. 2. Boot up from the DVD. Use F12 when it shows the Fujistu-Siemens logo at the start, if it does not do that ...

The Hackintosh Guide, Part 5. Installing OSX on the PC. Part 5 of my Hackintosh guide. NOTE: This guide is specific to the Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Motherboard!!!! In this part I'll show you how I installed OSX on the Custom i7 PC. This may not be the best way to do it, or the easiest. But this is how I got it to work, without too much hazzle. I used Empire EFI 1.08 to install OSX. Mirror #1: (In case the above link doesn't work): Also, there is a special version of 1.08, with support for ATI 48xx and Nvidia GTX2xx: The ZIP contains 3 different ISO's. I used the one called "EmpireEFI_V108.iso" Just burn the ISO to a CD, and you have a Boot-CD for installing OSX. I used Nero Burning ROM in Windows to burn the ISO. Step by step: - Set 1st Boot device to CD-ROM (in BIOS). - Set SATA-controller to AHCI (in BIOS). - Enable USB-keyboard function (in BIOS). - Save BIOS settings and reboot. - Boot the PC with Empire EFI Boot-CD. - Replace Empire EFI Boot-CD when prompted. - Open Disk Utility. - Partition HDD. Make sure you use MacOS Extended (Journaled) filesystem. - Also make sure that the partition table is GUID!! - When drive is partitioned, close Disk Utility. - Continue Installation. - Choose which drive you want to install OSX on. - Install (or customize the install first). - When install is done, reboot. - Boot with Empire EFI Boot-CD again. - Enter tons of information about yourself. - When OSX is done loading, run myHack (On the Empire EFI Boot-CD). - Reboot after myHack is ...
