The bomb was not Spoken word....people that feel this way, you're not alone "A Fickle word for fickle men say what you mean Please, it's For the sake of a car crash! Escapism can't be bought. Made sure my belt wasn't taught. It isn't the easy way out. Can't stand up with the pressure over my head. Little heart beats fast. Ribs push back the chest. Just can't find my breath. Ihatemyself Dread the new, and here are you, to tear my life up right on cue. Losing friends, loosening morals. Sleep hasn't graced me with it's presence for some time now. I've lost count of the wool over my eyes. It's the heaviest it's ever been from my curse deep within. Dying for a car crash! Make some sense, I know I'm not really this happy. One wrong turn. Am I making any sense? This is a heap of nonsense words thrown together in a medical haze. Lying in my bed the lights are out sleep has evaded me once again. No dreams tonight, no hope for the future. Apathy and a twisted soul have no cure. Nothing is alright in the black of night. She has gone away from my heart but has diseased mind. The lights are still on in my head. Listening to the floor boards creek, I try to gather my thoughts but they've all gone to rot! No breaks, no fair. I can't stop now me and misery are on a roll. Only time I'm at peace is when I'm a vegitable, zoned out, I can't feed myself my own helpings of life, hopeless. Turn the key to my thoughts, I bet they won't rev up. The bottle is hollow now. I don't want your sympathy, I just want you ...

Big Lost Rainbow - Ocean [Big Lost Rainbow] 1973 Big Lost Rainbow - Ocean [Big Lost Rainbow] 1973 Formed 1970, Pomfret, CT, United States Disbanded 1975 // Members: Ridley Pearson (guitar, piano, vocals, saxophone), Otis Head (guitar, piano, vocals), Robin Pfoutz (cello), Adam Berenson (piano), Tony Morse (flute), JP Bailhe (bass) . It is not hard to figure out why record labels wouldn't touch Big Lost Rainbow and why it stood no chance of gaining a widespread audience at the time of its 1973 release date. The album runs completely counter to the pompous hard rock that was plastered all over the airwaves at the time and is far too subtle and mature for mass consumption. Although their initial gig was played before a crowd of 10000, Big Lost Rainbow were not cut out for the arena. Their music requires a much more intimate setting and response, and their sole album is a surprising musical delight constructed out of elements of folk, jazz, and classical music, all of which expose gorgeous, supple melodies, mostly composed by lead vocalist and guitarist Ridley Pearson. The album brings to mind the best aspects of soft early '70s folk-pop, but unlike much of that genre, there is a genuine sorrow (as opposed to anger) threaded throughout the music; a sorrow, perhaps, brought about by the changing times but one that is not the least bit cynical. It is, instead, a sort of celebratory sentimentality. The songs are all exceedingly strong. Big Lost Rainbow infuse the music with an uncanny emotional resonance whether they are ...
Spore creature: Mulligrub I made this one in a contest for the most emo creature possible. I like how the trunk/mouth ended up, it just oozes jadedness and depression. I also used Audio Swap to put in a more... fitting soundtrack. The name is adopted from an old English word, "mulligrubs", meaning sullenness or grumpiness. Sporepedia page:

Matt Avery-Cool Interview Circa 1995?-Live at Noon See more Matt Avery at his facebook fan page and at . Uh-oh...the 80s hair- band body has started to "give". Our hereo here still with the boyish face at least and the John Travolta/ "Pulp Fiction" hair style! Low key interview but informative on this local news show.. This was pre-Key West so that jadedness hadn't begun yet! Still working the Columbus, Ohio scene here...his motto on his promos would read, "Hey Matt Avery...Where are You?....Everywhere!" People started changing that to AVERY-where. Many attest to Avery's huge influence on changing the Columbus one man show scene from a country-fied laid back, chew your Skoal, to an IN YOUR FACE, GET OYTTA MY WAY tack that was dubbed MATTITUDE, later used in Key West. More to come.
Movie review If you like sarcasm, irony, cynicism, randomness and jadedness (is that a word?), you will LOVE the movie "Bridesmaids." Go see it! :) 5 out of 5 stars, according to Matt the Reviewer. ;)
"The Scorning" As a way to challenge myself, and just to come up with ideas, I asked friends to tell me a topic and a sound that I could base a poem around. Though she didn't give a sound, one friend suggested that I write about politics. While I may do topical poetics later about particular politicians or events, first I wanted to write about an issue on my mind: My distaste for those who, when faced with someone still motivated about progressing politics into some nobler version of itself, remind said enthusiast that politics are all corrupt and crappy and it's pointless to try, because the scoundrels always win. To me, that's nothing but easy self-defeatism. Of *course* if you scare the good folks away all that's left to run the country is the scum of the Earth. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy, but only if people buy into it. Jadedness that hasn't been earned is gross laziness in disguise. What weakness it would take to be discouraged by a mere word! But hey, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe idealism *is* doomed. Maybe only the corrupt win power (or let power corrupt them). Even so, that situation should *not* be accepted merely because it's a relief to wax cynical about society. I admire practical and persistent idealists, people who work hard to make every change for the better that they can, be that change small or large in it's impact. People who dare to work, to hope, and to constantly challenge themselves are the ones who earn my awe. It's for them, and for my own hope, that I wrote this ...
space trucker 407 - subUrbia shaman herzog took me long enough, but got another one finally finished. this one is hosted by the character from SubUrbia and featured 2 cool music videos i found and trimmed/remixed: i'm kind of being lazy so if you wanna know where i sampled what, leave a comment and i'll dig around for the info. this particular episode speaks for itself regarding the existential jadedness of society and the natural triggers in society that awaken to solve these puzzles... creating answers to our problems... and is basically an ad for my book i wrote that will change the world. mwahahaha-haaaaaaaa
Meeting People is Easy - Tyler Hogan New song named after the Radiohead documentary (albeit mostly unrelated in content). I grew up during GWB, so don't hate my jadedness. Cheers. /tylerhoganmusic
Sloth - Seven Deadly Relational Sins The very ubiquity of indifference should give us pause... Kathleen Norris, Acedia and Me, Page23 See full video at newhopecalgary.blip.tv Definition: Sloth is a sad, restless and ungrateful boredom in the face of spiritual good. It is spiritual joylessness, carelessness, jadedness, thanklessness, unfruitfulness, lovelessness and hopelessness. What its not inefficiency (being slow) resting or relaxing (theres a time and a place for this) times of depression or inability to proceed its not even mere laziness (its more restless than this more miserable more careless.) Cornelius Plantinga, Theologian A slothful person believes in nothing, enjoys nothing, cares for nothing, seeks to know nothing, interferes with nothing, loves nothing, hates nothing, finds purpose in nothing, lives for nothing and only remains alive because there is nothing he would die for. Robert McCracken, What is Sin? What it Virtue? Sloth makes what is of ultimate importance, not worth the effort. Speaker/Writer Tony Campolo So be careful how you live, not as fools but as those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity for doing good in these evil days. Dating in the Dark ***ysis (part 1) In this audio/video blog, I talk about the issue of physical appearance, and why it's so important in today's dating arena. Many women today feed men the line of BS that looks or physical appearance don't matter, but as you'll see after watching these three episodes of the ABC show, Dating in the Dark, looks truly do matter, particularly to women. These files are about 350 MB in length each. I am giving the links to episodes 1, 4, & 6. The other three are soon to follow. Dating in the Dark (episode 1): Dating in the Dark (episode 4): Dating in the Dark (episode 6): The main thing to consider about watching these videos is this: If looks weren't that important, then why do these guys get rejected after the women have admitted that the emotional chemistry is there? And even the guys that don't get rejected are only considered dating material if they are "super hot", according to these women. Enjoy these links, and feel free to leave your comments.
The Heiz - Tequila @ Double Down Las Vegas Weighing in at an approximate weight of 400 lbs, hailing from The Land of the Rising Sun, playing out of the corner with the mohawked skeleton motif,,,,,The Heiz ! Their opponents, weighing in at an undisclosed amount, from parts unknown, sitting/standing in the smoke-filled rest of the room.... The patrons of the Double Down, Las Vegas Nevada! It's a battle of catchy intricate guitar riffs, sheer-energy and enthusiasm versus drunken apathy, a general jadedness and non-nonchalance. Who will emerge victorious?!? On a back note: the Double Down sells "Puke Insurance" for $25. I believe this affords you the luxury of not cleaning up your own puke (in the event of) while the giant-of-a-man bouncer stands over you cracking his knuckles. Well worth it if you ask me; the place never closes! Dig the video? Check out the rest of the Black and Blue Press including exclusive punk rock news, interviews, reviews and more at:
