Jacob in Japan #18 - Izakaya On the subject of the Japanese Izakaya: it is simply a style of resturant geared toward serving the maximum amount of people (usually exhasted co-workers and their boss) a number of dishes. For example, Jacob and I ordered pizza, chunks of beef in radish, kimchee rice, Vietnamese spring rolls as well as Shishamo (although I continually mispronouce it through the entire video) which are like dried and grilled pregnant smelts which Jacob learns you eat in it's entirety (including the eyes and tail).

Jacob In Japan #16 - Okonomiyaki It's what known as a Japanese version of pizza. Translated, the words identify "what you like, grilled" so there's no question that Jacob and I don't have squid or octopus (Kansai favorites) at our table! There are several references to Liverpudlian/Japanese ambassador William Lingley because he has taken the initiative to grill this fine Japanese dish for us before on occasion in his own style. We dined in Tennoji at a resturant I'm told is famous called, "Chibo." Mighty fine okonomiyaki if you ask me. We ordered one beef and one cheese.
Jacob in Japan #5 - Osaka Jo Castle In The Dark We went to that nice castle in the dark. We could see some things. But it was dark and at night. Osaka-Jo castle is a very old castle, surrounded by vending machines and cats. Jacob was busting out some French at a tree.

Edward, Bella & Jacob In Brand New 'Breaking Dawn' Photos! More 'Breaking Dawn' Photos: bit.ly - Become a Fan! - Follow Us! We have your look at five newly released photos from Breaking Dawn. Edward, Bella, Jacob and two characters we've never seen before -- stay with us for the full picture right now! You're back at ClevverTV -- I'm Joslyn Davis with the latest on Breaking Dawn. Five new photos were just released showing off everything from more honeymoon action, to prepping for the wedding a whole lot more. First up is a sweet shot of Bella sitting down in the bathroom as her future sister-in-law helps her get ready for her big wedding day. As a side note, it appears as though Alice's hair is styled in a new way with part of it pulled back from her face, which is really cute. Another photo we're guessing is from the wedding or reception features a first look at two members of the Denali coven -- Carmen and Eleazar -- who are a couple that live the same vegetarian lifestyle as the Cullens. In the photo, their eyes have the signature vampiric golden hue and they're both dressed appropriately for a wedding. Carmen is smiling sweetly while Eleazar appears much more serious. Up next we have two new photos of Edward and Bella, both of which we're guessing are from the honeymoon and possibly right after. In one shot, Bedward looks lovingly into each other's eyes -- that totally entranced newlywed look. In the other, they appear to be much more serious and even slightly pained, based on their intense facial ...
Jacob in Japan #12 - Kaiyukan Aquarium It's Osaka's big aquaruim, packed with tasty fish. We looked at some sharks and stingrays. Some large crabs were in attendance as well. In the basement was a psychedelic selection of jellyfish. It was fishtastic.

Jacob in Japan #21 - Pachinko If you cross-bred pinball and a slot machine and add a dash of video gameage, then you'd have Pachinko, or sometimes reffered to as Pachislot. A hallmark of Japan's quirky mystique, the gameplay involves turning a knob. The interaction ends there. Then you watch as many small silver balls are hurled into the playing field. There is only one hole in the center that you hope the ball enters. If it does, the slot machine game starts and you could potentially win much more money, as all of the holes in play that are normally inactive begin to count towards your credits if scored. Jacob played a machine featuring a Korean hearthrob, one Bae Yong Joon. I played New Sea Story, a game involving fish (of course). There was no shortage of ear piercing white noise or blinking lights. This is the nucleus of Jland.

Jacob In Japan #19 - Fa Kin Print Club This video addresses the unique Japanese habit of ***izing English words to their first key syllables. Take "Fa Kin" for example. An expletive? Far from it. The resturant's name is First Kitchen. So it's customary to pronounce only "Fa" for First and "Kin" for Kitchen. So it sounds like FaKin. The bulk of the video is of the most amusing photo booths usually occupied by groups of Japanese schoolgirls or possibly young couples who take several photos and then get to edit them with their choices of silly icons, pictures or phrases. You can also write messages with an electronic pen. These photos are then printed and you can all cut them up and share them. Jacob and I were accompanied by an actual Japanese person, Aki. She knew how to do all this and also explained "Pu-Ri Cu-Ra" as it is called is really the ***ized version of Print Club.

Jacob In Japan #23 - Training For It Some last minute excursions before Jacob leaves. He must eat Yoshinoya. He must learn about the "women-only" cars so that they won't be molested. He must see things from Japanese trains. The trains are important, clean and on time in Japan. I wish I was important, clean and on time. Jacob sleeps until 1 or 2pm every day. He has never seen a Japanese sunrise.
Jacob in Japan #6 - Super Tamade It is without a doubt a Japanese supermarket. Stocked to the hilt with octopus, squid and various other seafoods. A seizure-inducing sensory overload.

Jacob In Japan #13 - Shinkansen : The Bullet Train Once upon a time there lived a Japanese train called the Shinkansen. It was also known as the bullet train, even through it was not fired from a gun. It goes faster than your car (300km/h cruising speed) and they serve beer and sandwiches on board. It's more comformatable than any airplane and more expensive than a quart of Canadian whiskey. This video highlights a brief trip on what is referred to a Series 300 trainset from Shin Osaka to Kyoto.

Jacob In Japan #15 - Umeda Amusemento At first glance it may not look it, but Japan is home to an incredible number of geeks. They spend their quality time at entertainment plazas, many named "amusement" centers in honor of the good times for the cost of a mere 100 Yen per lucky chance. Here Jacob and I were able to partake in the drumming video game, scope out a number of UFO catch (or crab grab) machines as well as robotic toys such as Snoopy and various other distractions in a frenzy of electronic white noise courtesy only from urban Japan.
