  • Parallels Between The Apocrypha And The NT Pt 2 Some Parallels between the New Testament and the Apocrypha. Some of the parallels are based only on similar phraseology, but others follow them quite closely, particularly in Matthew and the Pauline Epistles. It is clear, at least, that they were alluded to quite frequently, and perhaps more importantly, they clearly underlie some rather fundamental Christian teachings. Some people dismiss these quotes on the grounds that they are inexact and indirect, but the fact remains that they were known, alluded to, and and accepted by nearly ALL of the New Testament writers.
  • "Quaker Graveyard in Nantucket" by Robert Lowell (poetry reading) This is dedicated to Warren Winslow, a cousin of Lowell, who died at sea when his ship sank. The opening quotation was from Genesis, but it's inexact. Clamavimus means "we cry out to you" (I think) There are many references to Moby Dick, such as the boat's name "Pequod". The poem has been reviwed extensively on the web. There's more notes here: Our Lady of Walsingham is at the Slipper Chapel, Walsingham, Norfolk, England. "Pilgrims have made the journey to Walsingham from all over Britain - and the world - since the 11th century, not long after the Lady Richeldis had her vision of Our Lady in 1061. However, Henry VIII ordered the Shrine to be destroyed in 1538 as part of the English Reformation and it was not until 1922 that the then Vicar of Walsingham decided to undertake the restoration of the Shrine." The quotation was originally, "Non est species ei, neque decor." It is from Isiah ch53 v2 - In the King James version it is rendered as "There is no beauty in him, nor comeliness" or in other versions "he has neither form nor majesty". The most unconsciously apt remark I found when searching the web was from a young man who had been set this poem for coursework, appealing for help, "What's this guy on?" Well, he was on alcohol, tranquillisers, unrewarding relationships, psycho***ysis: in fact, everything he could think of that could be guaranteed to do him more mischief and increase his misery.... • The Englisc The Englisc (Old English for 'English' - the pronunciation is the same). Forget the crap spouted by Anglo-phobic liberals (wankers like Billy Bragg), who'll try every dirty trick in the book to persuade the English they have no identity beyond a civic one. We are an ethnic group in our own right - and it began with our Anglo-Saxon forebears, the Englisc - who gave their name to England, gave us the English language (still a Germanic language at its core), the majority of England's place-names being of Old English origin. The English didn't suddenly disappear on October 14th, 1066. 1600+ years after our coming we are still here! If any of this gets up the nose of any Anglo-phobic moron then so much the better - the sort that infest our schools and universities, and brainwash young English minds into committing constant self-hatred and guilt against themselves, their country, and their own brethren - and all at the behest of Anglo-phobic racists. This sort of insidious scum are the real fascists. We're not British, Brythonic, Celtic or any other fashionable label that people prefer to label the English. They'll do and say any daft thing to disconnect us from our Anglo-Saxon forebears - DNA being a favourite of theirs. Dodgy, inexact science that is too variable to prove anything to any emphatic degree, especially on ancient remains. No race or ethnicity is 100% pure, yet the Anglo-Saxon influence on our way of life, country, language, etc, is not something that could have ...
  • ATM2400 36 Channel Airflow & Temperature Monitor Video Demonstration Multipoint measurement of air velocity as well as air and surface temperature are crucial steps in the new product development process. These measurements, however, have traditionally been inexact, labor-intensive, repetitive, and tedious. The AccuSense ATM2400 has been designed to reduce cost, increase efficiency, improve accuracy and compress testing and evaluation time. Furthermore, the ATM2400 expands on the capabilities of its predecessor, the ATM-24 with the inclusion of thermocouple sensors, improved airflow sensor accuracy, and improved AccuTrac 2008 software. The ATM2400 allows you to perform simultaneous measurement of air velocity and surface temperatures at 36 locations. Two ATM's can be connected together to measure up to 72 points. The information is recorded real-time, and can be ***yzed and manipulated as data is being collected. The ATM2400 uses the UAS Series of Airflow Sensors and UTS Series of Thermocouple Sensors. Improved air velocity accuracy to ±5% of reading from 0°C to 70°C further enhances the ATM2400's performance.
  • Inexact World War II History - Guam On June 21, 1898, Guam was captured by the United States in a bloodless landing during the Spanish-American War. In the Treaty of 12 February 1899, the remaining islands of the Mariana archipelago (except Guam) were sold by Spain to Germany for 837500 German gold marks (about $4100000 at the time). Along with 6000 islands in other island groups, such as the Carolines and Pelew Islands, all formerly under Spanish control but now indefensible by Spain, these islands were now incorporated as a small part of the larger German Protectorate of New Guinea. The total population in the Northern Marianas portion of these islands around this time was only 2646 inhabitants; the ten most northerly islands being actively volcanic, and almost uninhabited.

  • GRAPHITE: A Visual Query System for Large Graphs We present Graphite, a system that allows the user to visually construct a query pattern, finds both its exact and approximate matching subgraphs in large attributed graphs, and visualizes the matches. For example, in a social network where a person's occupation is an attribute, the user can draw a 'star' query for "finding a CEO who has interacted with a Secretary, a Manager, and an Accountant, or a structure very similar to this". Graphite uses the G-Ray algorithm to run the query against a user-chosen data graph, gaining all of its benefits, namely its high speed, scalability, and its ability to find both exact and near matches. Therefore, for the example above, Graphite tolerates indirect paths between, say, the CEO and the Accountant, when no direct path exists. Graphite uses fast algorithms to estimate node proximities when finding matches, enabling it to scale well with the graph database size. We demonstrate Graphite's usage and benefits using the DBLP author-publication graph, which consists of 356K nodes and 1.9M edges.

  • Morphogenetic Fields If a monkey in Japan learns to wash its sweet potatoes before eating them, it would influence other monkeys around it to learn the same behaviour. Then as the entire troupe washes its sweet potatoes, monkeys elsewhere in the world would begin to pick up the same behaviour. In fact, this is what happens. The famous Hundredth Monkey story tells how this actually happened. (And while there may be some debate in the scientific community due to inexact details, this phenomenon is showing up in clinical study with rats.) In terms of energy fields, astrological events affect everyone. Some of these events are minor, like Mercury going retrograde. Some are massive, like the Earth moving out of Pisces and into Aquarius. There's not much we can do about astrological fields. They are more massive than any other fields we know about, encompassing countless life forms and stellar bodies. But when you're aware of them, you can begin to work with the flow, instead of against it. This yields more successful action and happier feelings. www.wicca- In other words, whatever your parents and ancestors haven't dealt with, will linger in your energy field to deal with . . . and your children after you, if you don't heal it. AND, whatever you deal with, you simultaneously release it from the field of everyone in your genetic line, backwards and forwards. All your ancestors as well as all your descendents will be free of that issue. If you watch, you can see this in action. So if ...
  • "High Fructose Corn Syrup" Seeks Alternate Name Corn Refiners Petition FDA for Alternate Name To Eliminate Consumer Confusion Audrae Erickson, President of the Corn Refiners Association In an effort to help clarify the labeling of food products for consumers, the Corn Refiners Association today petitioned the US Food and Drug Administration to allow manufacturers the option of using 'corn sugar' as an alternative name for high fructose corn syrup. Independent research demonstrates that the current name, "high fructose," is confusing American consumers, leading them to believe that high fructose corn syrup has more fructose that table sugar. Nearly 58 percent of survey respondents believed this to be the case, when in fact, high fructose corn syrup is not high in fructose compared with other commonly used nutritive sweeteners, including table sugar, honey and fruit juice concentrates. Like table sugar, it is roughly half glucose and half fructose and is metabolized by the body in the same way as regular table sugar. In addition to confusion over the sugar itself, a continuing series of inexact scientific reports and inaccurate media accounts about high fructose corn syrup and matters of health and nutrition have increased consumer uncertainty -- leading manufacturers to pull the ingredient from their products, and various media to even blamed it for single-handedly causing the rise in Type 2 diabetes and the obesity epidemic! Corn sugar -- or high fructose corn syrup -- has been used for more than 40 years to enhance ...

  • DAICON IV opening animation with remastered stereo audio DAICON IV オープニングアニメ (リマスター音源) Details on this project: I had planned for many years to try my hand at developing remastered renditions of the Daicon III and IV films. I knew that the easy part, if it could be called that, would be the audio, particularly in the case of Daicon IV. Daicon III represents a likely impossible challenge due to the fact that it utilizes many sound effects, the origins of which will probably never be known, never mind accessible. Most of the music cues in Daicon III are also proving somewhat difficult to secure in acceptable quality (non-LP, for a start). Daicon IV uses no sound effects and only three tracks of music, from two albums. After securing a 160kbps MP3 of one, and lossless iterations of the others, I decided it was time to begin. The inexact nature of the utilization of the cues in the film posed unique challenges. For one thing, none of the tracks used in the film play at their proper speeds. For another, several subtle edits were made to each track, in order to force them to better fit the pacing of the visuals in Daicon IV, and these edits had to be identified and matched with precision. Some of the audio is even stereo reversed, or phase inverted. These anomalies were faithfully reproduced. Everything was done in 32 bit mode. The result is pristine-sounding stereo audio whose timings are such a close match for the original that a person could almost use one to cancel out the other, barring some notable differences ...

As a matter of fact, this was also at the centre of the question that our dear colleague Mr Lieberman asked the Federal Chancellor. If I correctly understood your question (addressing Mr Lieberman), then of course it is a serious one! Can we be indifferent observers in view of what is happening? I will try to answer your question as well: of course not. But do we have the means to counter these threats? Certainly we do. It is sufficient to look at recent history. Did not our country have a peaceful transition to democracy? Indeed, we witnessed a peaceful transformation of the Soviet regime a peaceful transformation! And what a regime! With what a number of weapons, including nuclear weapons! Why should we start bombing and shooting now at every available opportunity? Is it the case when without the threat of mutual destruction we do not have enough political culture, respect for democratic values and for the law? I am convinced that the only mechanism that can make decisions about using military force as a last resort ...
  • Friday the 13th Unlike climate science, determining the origins of superstitions is an inexact science, at best. In fact, it's mostly guesswork. Consequently, several theories have been proposed about the origin of the Friday the 13th superstition. One theory states that it is a modern amalgamation of two older superstitions: that thir*** is an unlucky number and that Friday is an unlucky day In numerology, the number twelve is considered the number of completeness, as reflected in the twelve months of the year, twelve signs of the zodiac, twelve hours of the clock, twelve tribes of Israel, twelve Apostles of Jesus, twelve gods of Olympus, etc., whereas the number thir*** was considered irregular, transgressing this completeness. There is also a superstition, thought by some to derive from the Last Supper or a Norse myth, that having thir*** people seated at a table will result in the death of one of the diners. Friday has been considered an unlucky day at least since the 14th century's The Canterbury Tales, and many other professions have regarded Friday as an unlucky day to undertake journeys or begin new projects. Black Friday has been associated with stock market crashes and other disasters since the 1800s.

I am truly grateful to be invited to such a representative conference that has assembled politicians, military officials, entrepreneurs and experts from more than 40 nations. This conferences structure allows me to avoid excessive politeness and the need to speak in roundabout, pleasant but empty diplomatic terms. This conferences format will allow me to say what I really think about international security problems. And if my comments seem unduly polemical, pointed or inexact to our colleagues, then I would ask you not to get angry with me. After all, this is only a conference. And I hope that after the first two or three minutes of my speech Mr Teltschik will not turn on the red light over there. Therefore. It is well known that international security comprises much more than issues relating to military and political stability. It involves the stability of the global economy, overcoming poverty, economic security and developing a dialogue between civilisations. This universal, indivisible character of security is expressed as the basic principle that security for one is security for all. As Franklin D. Roosevelt said during the first few days ...

  • Parallels Between The Apocrypha And The NT Pt 1 Some Parallels between the New Testament and the Apocrypha. Carbon-14 dating techniques used on excavated remains found in the cliffs indicate that there were inhabitants in the region before the arrival of the Dogon. They were the Toloy culture of the 3rd to 2nd centuries BC, and the Tellem ...
