One minor incident happened when a car was rear-ended, but the Skynet Google cars have yet to incur any points on their virtual licenses. Earlier this week, ABC News got the chance to go for a spin in one of the tech company's automated cars, riding shotgun in a computer-controlled Toyota Prius. The engineers from Google explain that the Prius utilizes a series of cameras and a roof-mounted, spinning laser to see what is going on around it. The result is a vehicle which might just be safer than one with a human behind the wheel. However, according to the report, the goal of the system is not to completely remove the driver from the equation, the system is pitched as more of a "super cruise-control" than a full auto-drive system. The theory is that it would be useful for traffic-filled commutes to and from work, and it might be a nice solution to eliminate or reduce distracted-driving. Get a phone call? If spotted, she will attack you on sight even if you have committed no crime other than trespassing. Killing her will count as a murder, as well as invoking the blood price for the quest (usually 1000 gold). Therefore, the challenge in obtaining the statuette is sneaking past the guard. A decent sneak skill, perhaps coupled with an Invisibility or Chameleon enchantment, and good timing are key to sucess. Lady Llathasa's crypt is to the left, down the stairs. In the back of the alcove you will find the statuette (Llathasa's Bust) and a coffin (Llathasa's Tomb). As long as you only pick up the statuette you can sneak back out of the undercroft without incident, and return to the Imperial City. If, however, you also try to plunder Llathasa's Tomb (ie, if you activate the coffin to see what's inside), you will conjure up her ghost. The ghost will attack you, which will usually alert the guard as well. The easiest way to avoid this is to simply not look inside the coffin; the one or two pieces of unenchanted jewelry in the coffin aren't really worth the trouble. Citigroup, struggling to stay afloat, sought help from the Fed at least 174 times during one remarkable 13-month period. Barclays, the British bank, at one point owed nearly $48 billion to the Fed. Even better-off banks like Goldman Sachs took advantage of Fed loans offered at rock-bottom rates. The Fed's efforts to stave off a financial crisis reached far beyond Wall Street, touching manufacturers like General Electric, the Detroit automakers and Harley-Davidson, central banks from Britain to Japan and insurers and pension funds in Sweden and South Korea. April 9, 2010 - Perhaps the biggest news from Activision's countersuit filed this morning against former Infinity Ward executives Jason West and Vince Zampella is the mention of Modern Warfare 3. According to the countersuit, West and Zampella entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), an agreement between two parties, with Activision and Infinity Ward in connection with Modern Warfare 2 and "any subsequent Infinity Ward projects" back in March 2008. This MOU apparently included certain rights for Modern Warfare 3, which Activision says in its countersuit that development for the third title was delayed intentionally by West and Zampella in order to leverage their rights under the MOU to "obtain further advantages for themselves and concessions" from Activision. In the first brief portion of this video, taken from a documentary that appeared on RNN back in September 26, 1996, you hear Witt take credit for state legislation passed in 1996 pertaining to drinking water in the fields. Witt in fact states "after three years of working for this" his organization got the legislation passed. (By the way, Federal law under OSHA already required farmers to provide drinking water in the fields. The state law merely duplicated what federal law already required.) Some people have been hit by huge overage charges on their cell phone bills. The official name is "Bill Shock." Yesterday the FCC had a hearing about regulations to require companies to notify customers of excessive overcharges. In this country there are almost 300 million cell phone users and about 10 percent of them have experienced bill shock at one time or another. About 750 of them complained to the FCC about being charged for going their plan allotment of time or data and incurring extra charges on their bill. Two thirds of the people who complained were charged about $100 more. Twenty percent were charged more than $1000. The complainant with the highest bill? Someone who was charged $68505.
